Learned our lesson when eating at an ice cream shop to order only ice cream. The ice cream is always perfect tasting & at a good price. This time we ordered 3 hotdogs & a pretzel. We received 1 hot dog / 1 foot long/ 1 pretzel. The pretzel was a little hard and dry. The footlong was gray outside/pink inside & the hot dog was ate by my husband before I could even ask although he said his stomach was bubbling after. I spoke with the girl at the counter about the footlong and she said she could give us a new one although I didn't want another one that could be bad as well. I just was skeptical after looking at it & tasting it. The taste was off & the color was off. I trashed it. Ice cream we ordered was great. 3 dirt sundaes for the kids & 2 twists ( chocolate & vanilla) for the adults.

When it opened for this season we finally gave it a go. It has a pretty large parking lot, which I was thankful for, though it can be difficult to get out when you are leaving. They only take cash so be warned, but there is an ATM on the side of the building. There was only one girl working that day, but there are two windows I am assuming for busier times like the weekends. We walked right up and ordered from their pretty large menu posted on the side. I got the campfire sundae, and my partner just got a vanilla cone. It is all soft-serve, and they have chocolate, vanilla, or twist. There are many different toppings, dips, shakes, and sundaes offered for all preferences. My sundae was not very photogenic at all, which was fine as it still tasted great. The campfire sundae is twist ice cream topped with teddy grahams, chocolate dip, whipped cream, and a cherry. It was refreshing and had good crunch from the toppings. Between the two ice cream flavors though, the vanilla had a lot more going for it. For a fun, small place to get ice cream during the warm months, I would recommend coming here. Even happier to find great flavors. And happier still for tasty vegan options! We had nicely minty not-green Mountain Mint in a cone, and tasty sweet lemon sorbet in a cup. And a perfectly wonderful cone of vegan mildly-coconut chip ice cream. It was all so good, we came back on a subsequent evening! Another cone of the vegan coconut chip. A cup of lightly-floral lavender vegan ice cream. And a cookies & cream cone. Street-parking right out front is time-limited for takeout. There's longer parking up and down both sides of Summit Parkway. And there's a park8n* lit and more street parking a block away on Summit Place. When you're not walking across the street to the Summit Playground, there's a handful of tables out front, and when 5hose were full, no-one minded that we sat in front if the bar next door. We realized that with all of the mix-ins they offer, this adds a step and makes the ice cream process more complicated than it needs to be.
