The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him. Outstanding Electric Company!…read more I had an extremely challenging situation with a master bathroom project after the previous contractor abandoned the job. The walls had already been tiled, and the electrical work for the fixtures had been done very poorly. Several electricians and contractors came out to look at the project, but most declined to take it on because the situation was such a mess. Then I called Lightning Bug Electric, and they were absolutely fantastic from the very beginning. They immediately arranged for Cody to come out for a site visit. He took the time to really understand the situation, carefully thought through each challenge, developed a plan, and provided me with a quote on the spot. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to take on a difficult project that others had walked away from. The very next morning at 9:00 a.m., two technicians arrived and got to work. Marcus and Anthony were brilliant, respectful, hardworking, and incredibly skilled. They navigated an extremely complicated situation with expertise and a great attitude. Not only did they never seem frustrated by the challenges they encountered, they were so kind and courteous. They took the time to do the job correctly rather than taking shortcuts. What impressed me most was that all three--Cody and the two technicians--mentioned how much pride they take in their work. And it absolutely showed. The quality of the work was outstanding. They were professional from start to finish, communicated well, showed up when they said they would, and left me feeling confident that the electrical work was finally done properly. I actually have a home warranty and Phoenix electrical is not on my warranty plan but thank goodness every time my warranty assigns me someone for electrical they do not show up or never call to schedule. With my warranty this allows me to find my own electrician and I'm not sure how I ended up finding Phoenix electrical but I will never use anyone but them. Jeremiah has been my regular electrician now. He has done everything from installing outlets behind my television so wires are not running down my wall. He has also repaired switches and outlets. And the biggest thing that I have to praise Jeremiah about was an issue where one light after the next stopped working in the house Jeremiah spent hours on this very complicated very old 1902 home and finally found the issue that's spanned over two junction boxes in and through my attic which has a double ceiling and repaired it! He was relentless in his efforts to locate my problem! And when I tell you when he gets done it looks as if he was never here. He brings his own hand vac and cleans the entire area! Phoenix Electrical is number one in my book. Our garbage disposal started leaking and needed replacing…read more My sister-in-law a great experience and we decided to give TE a try. We had a two man crew led by Tiny and they confirmed the water was only coming from the disposal, provided three options, recommended the middle choice as we use our disposal all the time (a small upgrade from the existing unit), and installed the new one in no time. It's been over a month since TE installed the new disposal and we are very happy. Checked the price of the new disposal at Home Depot and the local plumbing supply, and TE charged only 2X for the install. You don't really see that anymore, what a great value. We recommend TE and will definitely be calling them in the future.

1 Star -- Absolutely Terrible Experience…read more Don't waste your time at this company. Based on my experience, they have absolutely no intention of investing in or keeping their employees. The training is extremely poor. If you don't already have ServiceTitan experience, good luck. There is very little patience for people who are learning, and instead of actually training employees, management seems to get irritated when you don't immediately know how to do something. You are expected to figure things out rather than being properly developed. What made it even worse was the lack of management support during training. Managers would literally go out of town while employees were still not properly trained, leaving people to figure things out on their own. The entire training process was a mess. The hiring process is also ridiculous for an $18/hour position. You go through multiple interviews and three reference checks just to get hired, only to receive very little support once you're actually there. I also had serious concerns about the way employee separations were handled. I was told that I was "not a good fit" without being given a clear explanation. I was also presented with paperwork regarding quitting in connection with severance. Employees should carefully review anything they are asked to sign and understand exactly what they are agreeing to. There were also significant concerns about workplace culture. I personally experienced the environment as lacking diversity and felt that employees who did not fit the existing culture or way of communicating were treated differently. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage leadership to take a serious look at its hiring, training, and employee-retention practices. On top of everything else, there did not appear to be enough work to support everyone consistently. The amount of effort expected from employees does not match the training, support, compensation, or job security provided. Three interviews, multiple reference checks, and then essentially being told "you're not a good fit" without a meaningful explanation? Absolutely not. Don't waste your time. There are much better companies out there that will actually invest in training their employees, provide proper management support, and treat people with respect. This place is simply a mess.
