Their rates were significantly more affordable than the competition (but I did book them many months in advance :) Our wedding was in February 2018, we booked them in 2017). We got a photography and videography package which came with ALL the pictures, two canvas collages, photo album, and a wedding video. We also paid ~$500 extra for all the video footages. All in all, we're satisfied with the end product!

It began with a virtual consultation with Nadine and Sofia to go over the details of the photoshoot and next steps. Since I am pregnant and also have two boys, I wanted the photoshoot to be special by capturing our growing family. We decided on a maternity and family holiday photoshoot, which included variety of backgrounds and outfits. The next step was scheduling a in-person fitting prior yo the shoot to try on a few dresses. Sofia put together a styling sheet and provided suggestions on what to wear for my family to coordinate nicely. Sofia also provided a timeline on the day of the shoot, which was very helpful. As a busy pregnant working mom, the best thing about this entire experience was getting professional hair and makeup done at the studio! Shoutout to artist Veronica for making me feel and look my best. I have done two sunrise family photoshoots in the past, and I absolutely do not have the energy, time, or desire to get ready on my own. I also had a maternity in-studio photoshoot done last year, I had to go get makeup and hair done in two different places, then drive an hour, which by then my curls were no longer holding. Not at Sachiko Studios, they will take care of you from beginning to end, and you will feel fresh. After getting hair and makeup done, we did a quick maternity photoshoot session. My family met us at the studio and we did the holiday photoshoot. The in-studio photos of our family portraits turned out lovely. For outdoor shoot, we drove to Bradbury's Bridge, which was about 15 min away. I loved the fall and natural backdrops. Having the option of doing an outdoor photoshoot was great because it captured our active kids candidly. Nadine was so great with my kids! She was able to capture my youngest looking happy and all smiles. She rewarded my oldest for being good at following directions.

Longer version: Totally obsessed with everything about our experience with The Hendrys, from our communications to our actual elopement shoot to our finished photos. The price we paid ($4,200 FYI, but I'm sure that fluctuates based on area, their demand, etc.) was an absolute steal for what we got (4 hours of coverage they very graciously extended to 6!! to capture our vision even though they had to drive all the way back home after, plus more photos than we were promised, quicker delivery than we were promised, and an all around amazing time). I like traditional wedding photos , but my fiancé (wait, WIFE) and I really wanted something ~different~ than what we always see. We had already decided to run off to the desert (Joshua Tree) to elope and have a less conventional ceremony, and we wanted our photos to have that crazy, surreal Mojave desert vibe. I had done a lot of searching and had almost given up when I stumbled across The Hendrys Instagram it was so perfect, I couldn't believe it. We sent an inquiry and they replied promptly and with so much information. That's one thing I really loved about this experience - they were so organized and on top of things and it really made you feel secure. We put a deposit and then paid the remaining balance before our elopement. The day of, they arrived right on time, even though they had driven in and their car had overheated on the way (desert in summer -- very smart pick on our part lol), which means that they must have left early with plenty of time to make sure they would arrive on time. Apart from being super professional, Sarah and Darren were also just tons of fun to be around - we connected with them immediately and laughed the whole time and felt so comfortable. One thing I loved is that they thought of all the details I would never have thought of. I didn't have to give them a detailed list of all the things that I wanted pictures of - which is good because I didn't know - but through our conversations, they picked up on what was important to us and just observed what looked really cool around the property. They immediately realized our pets are super important to us (and identified with that because their bunnies are super important to them too!) so we have numerous pictures of our dog, Winter, who was our maid of honor, and my keepsakes honoring my angel soul dog that we will treasure forever. Even little details like my wife's softball cufflinks were not missed. I'm typically a control freak and a perfectionist so I had a million thoughts buzzing around before the day about what I wanted to be captured -- but when the day came I just trusted them, didn't have to direct a thing, and received photos that blew my mind. It was a total dream to just be able to relax and feel pretty and have fun:) True to their style, we didn't just get all the pictures we wanted, we got all the pictures we wanted WITH their incredible spin on them. They are true artists and did a ton of experimenting to get so many cool shots. We've already gotten photo albums and large format prints printed of their work for our home and could not feel more grateful.
