This place is pretty good. I usually get the fish burrito. It's convenient since there aren't too many other options at Oyster Point. This is one of the few that shows up here everyday. Service is good. Ambiance can vary, since it's a food truck, it can be chilly outside at times, but they cannot control the weather. Still reliable and convenient. There's not a lot of food options within walking distance of my workplace so I usually end up at La Barca food truck (at the curl-de-sac near 395 Oyster Point Blvd). The prices are pretty good for the portion size and it's fairly quick service too even during the lunch period. On a nice day, it's relaxing to soak in the sunshine while waiting for the food. Typically, I'll get a super burrito as I love getting sour cream, guacamole, and all the creamy goodness. But, on Tuesdays they have the shrimp fajita quesadillas which has a good amount of cheese, peppers, mushrooms, avocado slices, and shrimp. read more

This was my second time eating here. I loved the carne asada tacos when I went the first time. This time I ordered the chicken taco salad. The chicken was a bit salty but I still finished the whole thing except for some leftover tacos shell. It came hot and the cheese on top of the lettuce melted nicely. The beans and rice were delicious. I asked for the spicy salsa and it did not disappoint. Be sure to try a little bit of the salsa first since everyone has different spice tolerances. This taco truck posts right outside my office at the oyster point plaza in South San Francisco, so I've been here countless times. At least 2 or 3 times a week. Delicious food for very cheap. Their al pastor taco is the best I've had in the bay area! The pork is so flavorful and juicy. GAHDAMN. The lowdown: AL PASTOR, FOR SURE. Cash only. It's $2 for a taco, comes with some pickled veggies and lime, and you know a girl gotta have lime on her tacos. If you can't do spicy, you can go for the chicken, which is also pretty good. But I would skip the carne asada, I've given it a few chances, and it's not that good, pretty dry and tough. This is my go to truck for some delicious cheap tacos whenever I'm too lazy to drive anywhere or don't have my car. $1.25 for all tacos except for shrimp which is $2. My favorite is the shrimp taco!! Pretty solid taco truck that's walking distance from my work. Arrived around 11:30am and waited about 15 minutes for my food. There were maybe 5-6 people ahead of me. Got the spicy al pastor tacos, and they had a good kick to them!! The most disgusting burrito I've ever had. Greasy, LOW quality meat. Who doesn't put rice on a SUPER burrito? Or salsa, and why ask if I want spicy if you're not even going to put sauce? Thanks for the one entire sliver of avocado you charged me for. No sour cream or cheese. I paid $10 for beans and greasy meat. And they didn't barely wrap it. looks like he folded it twice and wrapped it in tin foil. This Is a Taco Truck. They are there everyday. In front of Vita-Soy. The food is so so. They need to start adding real salsa to the food. I usually hit this taco truck up at least once a week since it is reaaaallllyyyyy close to my work. My usual is lengua and cabeza (which is not listed on the menu). I tend to stick to just the tacos for $1.25 each versus the burrito not because of the price but because the burrito tends to have too much "stuff" for me. By stuff I am referring to the rice and beans. The lengua and cabeza are too good on their own to bland it out with other "fillers". The lengua can be a bit hit and miss. At times it is a bit chewier than I like. The cabeza is always spot on. Soft, moist, delicious....like a piece of perfectly cooked pot roast but with much more flavor. I like the minimal toppings on the tacos. It comes with fresh cilantro, chopped yellow onions, radishes. lime and pickeled carrots and jalapenos. Just enough ingredients to not overpower the actual star of the dish...the meat!!! The lady working there is always nice and has a smile on her face. Service is super fast. I don't think I have waited longer than 5 minutes in any of my many visits. I've only tried one other thing on their menu. The shrimp tacos as a recommendation from people at work. Not bad, good size shrimp, good flavor. I would probably try these again if I were not totally addicted to the cabeza!!! Give these guys a try. read more

Loooooove this Taco truck! :) Been coming to this place ever since I started working at Oyster Point. Their carne asada tacos is what I usually get. I'm not much of a burrito person so I can't really comment about them. Tried their shrimp tacos once and they were not bad at all! Definitely give this place a shot if you're around but be warned... 12:30 lunch hour and there's about 4+ people standing around the truck... be prepared to wait about 10-15 mins for your food to be ready, think they only have one cook in the truck. My first time here after a craving. Easy to find, near my work and got the carne asada tacos. Oh man they were a delicious treat. Very generous on the meat and the flavor was right on point. Ok so I happened to see this Taco Truck on my way to the Oyster Point Park, I figure food truck is the new craze thing nowadays. (Not this one) So I ordered the Super Burrito Steak for $6, (choice of meats with beans, rice, cheese, guacamole, sour cream and hot sauce) it was good decent size but yeah it was packed with so much bean and rice. I have been going to this truck for years, since it is parked right outside my work. In my opinion, this truck has some of the best fish tacos I have ever hard. The fish is well seasoned and moist, the corn tortilla has the perfect amount of melted cheese and there is more fish to toppings ratio (comes with shredded lettuce, onion, and cilantro). Tacos are also served with a side of pickled veggies, radish and lime. The tacos are street taco size, so two tacos is the perfect amount for me. I'll be coming back soon, La Barca! read more

thank goodness for the taco truck. oyster point is like an island with no food. besides the office deli & cafe, there's nothing to eat and this gets old fast when you're stuck in the office all day. this is a solid taco truck. the lady is nice, the food is good, fast and the best part cheap. my "go-to" are the carnitas and chicken tacos. i've been staying away from the burritos, b/c they only had normal beans and i like refried ...but low and behold they now serve refried! this isn't a truck to drive out of the way for, but as long as it's on the way to work, i'm sold! read more

Solid average Mexican food. Nothing spectacular, but it satisfies my lunch time burrito/taco cravings. On occasion, the pinto beans can be undercooked, but most of the time they make pretty decent food. One of my favs is the shrimp burrito, but it's gone up a lot in price over the past year. This truck has been in this location forever. It's been a favorite of the Genentech crowd for quite a while. The salsa is my personal favorite of the few trucks in the area. The carne asada tacos are addicting. The grilled chicken burrito with whole beans and no rice is fave of the weight watchers. When you're looking for a quick bite of halfway decent mexican food, this is your best option without driving to grand ave. The tacos are the best option for those on a budget and its hard to screw that up. The burritos are okay, but the sour cream is questionable and avocados are not always ripe if you order a "super" burrito.
