This inn was remodeled two years ago, already showing sign of wear. When I booked room pictures looked amazing but actual room was a bit less appealing. If you want a refrigerator and microwave you will want the queen room rate. The site does not say that and I was ticked off to find out my room did not without paying more for a queen room, I have never been in any motel, hotel or suite that did not have these items, I was told I had to walk across parking lot to get ice at gas station, show my room key and they fill bucket up, plum stupid! Rates in moderate charges should have all amenities here near room, recommend another stay elsewhere! That is unless you just want to sleep and shower.

My wife and I stayed over night in this hotel on January 30th. The train was loud, but we understood that was out of their control. However, cleanliness and pest control is well within the control of the hotel. We woke up early to catch a trip and as I was gathering our things I noticed there was a bug crawling on the pillow, I gently brushed it off to get a better look at what appeared to be a bed bug. I asked my wife to bring me a Kleenex and as I smashed it the belly was completely full of blood. As we were checking out I showed it to the young lady working the counter who seemed just as disgusted as we were and said she would have her manager call when she got in. The manager (Jenny) called and asked me about what had happened that afternoon so I explained it to her, she was very apologetic but claimed the owner had driven from Seattle to "tear the room apart, but was unable to find anything." So I forwarded her the picture and told her that I had smashed the bug then placed the bloody Kleenex in the trash. She told me that she would talk to the owner to see what she wanted to do, but they would most likely take care of our room and that I would be called back the following day. The day has passed without a call back and at this point I just feel like it's my obligation to review our experience with the bed bug because it is potentially a public health concern. We will NEVER be staying here again!

Big room but it is in the parking lot of a gas station. so 24/7 noisy. And next to a train track. Jessica was wonderful.

Last minute stop. Good service. Room was average. Nothing special but it suited us fine.

The first day it was a cheese quiche with some fresh fruit; the second day was French toast served with some sliced fresh fruit. Plenty of fuel until lunch. The historic "colonial revival" home was built in 1905 and it was a delight to stay here. This inn is the only Bed & Breakfast on Washington's central coast area. Nice to see that the inn survived the pandemic.

We live in Las Vegas and we were visiting Aberdeen for a funeral. This is the town my husband grew up in and he hadn't been back in over 20 years. We could not find Hotels in the area, only motels. I was pleasantly surprised to have found this B&B and quickly booked the Canterbury room. It was clean, cozy and spacious. The bathroom was large and it had a lot of counter space for makeup and toiletries. The Aberdeen weather in March is pretty cold, but it was nice to return to a nice cozy and warm room in the evenings after spending the day with family. Breakfast was amazing! Billy, Cindy's son, is a great cook and very hospitable just like her. I returned to Las Vegas and missed eating my breakfasts overlooking the harbor and the beautiful Broadway Hill neighborhood. We also enjoyed great conversations a couple of days with a Doctor whom we met there. It was a great visit/vacation to my husband's hometown. Thank you Cindy and Billy for your hospitality! I highly recommend A Harbor View Inn.

Some things I think others looking up this place will find useful:…read more *Each unit has entrances on both sides of the building, one facing the bay and one facing the other side. So: no need to worry about getting stuck with a unit that does not face the bay. *There are only 18 units in the whole hotel, each of them the same size: one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room with an electric fireplace, and a kitchenette. We always seek out places with kitchens or kitchenettes so we can cook in our unit are won't have to eat out every meal. One slight word of caution, though: these kitchenettes have a microwave and a stove top but no oven; and the refrigerator is pretty small. *The living room couch is also a hideabed, so the rooms technically sleep four each. There is a TV in both the living room and the bedroom. *The view of the bay is NOT a view of a beach, but there are some very positive things about this. First, the nightly rates are reasonable regardless of the time of year. Second, beyond a grassy area in front of the motel are tide flats, which fill up with water twice every 24 hours, at high tide. It's really fun to see the change when you're paying attention. Beyond the tide flats is the man-made Shoalwater Bay Berm, created to save Tokeland from the long term effects of increasingly severe weather events. The tide flats area between the hotel and the berm, that gets filled with water, is called Empire Spit. Google the area's tides for the day(s) you are there and you will know when to look for when the tide flats fill with sea water, as it doesn't stay full for very long. *The hotel is owned by the Shoalwater Bay Tribe and is on their land, as is the Shoalwater Bay Casino (the smallest casino I have ever been in). If you get a Players Club Card from the casino, which you do not have to do any gambling in the casino to get, you can use it to get 10% off your hotel booking. *The hotel has an outdoor pool that is heated, and a hot tub that is protected from the elements by a clear dome. There were no storms the two nights we stayed there, but I bet it would be fun to watch one from that hot tub. There is also a communal kitchen space for larger parties that can be booked for an extra fee. *I have seen other reviews complain about the lack of regular housekeeping, but this was not a big deal to us. And if you need fresh linens or toiletries, all you have to do is ask and the incredibly friendly staff will happily hook you up. In short, Tradewinds on the Bay is a modest place to stay that is also quite the hidden gem.
