The place was amazingly clean. The only downfall was the tiny room a standard queen. The room was small was a tile floor so it felt a bit like a jail cell. I think next time I would try a larger room. The staff was very pleasant. The breakfast did leave a little bit to be desired. The positive- it was clean and quiet. Negatives: 1. clerk was never at the front desk 2. Elevator was broken the whole weekend so taking trips for luggage up and down stairs was not fun 3. the key card never worked and had to go to front desk several times to have it re-coded. Found out others had the same issue 4. no refrigerator in our room as was advertised. 5. The breakfast was not good. Waffle mix would not dispense and clerk said just take it out of the machine and shake it. still didn't work. Eggs were cold, coffee was not staying hot in thermos. This is really the only hotel in Elma Washington. That being said, it's not that bad. In fact, it's probably the best hotel in Grays Harbor County. We stayed for five nights and they cleaned our room everyday. Complimentary breakfast is fairly good, cheese omelettes, waffles, yogurt, various bread items and fresh fruit. It's pretty much the same every morning. However, the Rusty Tractor restaurant is right across the street or a really nice family breakfast upgrade. Grocery outlet in Starbucks across the street. Otherwise a customer service is very good and the hotel is clean although the rooms are pretty small with only a coffee maker. And it has three stories with an elevator thankfully. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are tiny. The heater/AC does go on and off during the night and if that's a problem you should bring a fan to drown out the noise. Oh and we did have to go across the street to purchase hair conditioner. read more

Stayed here years ago for races, TV wasn't on the ceiling, had a fridge and microwave. Motel gave racer discounts. The receptionist said he doesn't give racers a break? I wonder who "he" is lol. Won't be staying here again. It was better then, not so much now. $160 a night is to much. read more

I did not read the yelp reviews about someone finding pubic hairs on the sheets before booking, but I had a similar experience in this location. Hotel needs to address and improve on housekeeping. Came with my mom for a small get away. Got a double queen. When we arrived there was no fridge. No problem we upgraded to one wth a fridge. Get to the room only to find out there is only ONE bed. Why upgrade us to one bed when we had paid for two? We made do nor wanting to be a bother. Decided i would sleep on pull out BUT there was a huge yellow stain on the mattress and no extra sheets. Then the next morning we went down to get breakfast and they had all the hot food, which only consisted of waffles and omlettes. No meat options at all ,thats fine BUT they had the back door wide open and it was about 40 degrees outside, literally right next to thechot food. By the time we got our omelette. And grabbed ketchup and milk our omelette was cold from the extremely cold weather coming in. When we cane back from getting breakfast we came in our room to a very strong gas/peopane smell. We called thr front desk at 830 and was told by front desk that "ir wouldnt do him any good to come ip as he is stuffed up and wouldnt be able to smell anything" but that he would send somwown as soon as he could find someoen . It is now 1030 am they sent housekeeping. At this time we already had window open ans had showered so you could not longer smell it but ny fear is swe slept like that all night . We didn't want to leave our hotel until check out since this was just a mini vacation and we paid for a full stay! Then as mom is taking a shower she looks at the side of thr toilet and there is an inch thick of "urine" on the side of the toilet. Definatly was not a great stay for us. When we were looking for a hotel in Elma, there were not many options. So we were going to stay at Stay Beyond Inn & Suites (formerly Guest House) regardless of the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised with how helpful the front desk employees were on check in and how clean and new the lobby appeared. The room was just as clean and very comfortable. My only complaint is our room (not a suite) did not have a fridge or microwave. The hotel is very convenient if you are attending a race a Grays a Harbor Raceway or any event at the fairgrounds. Excellent hotel choice to stay at in the area. Staff was great, rooms were very clean and very comfortable. Beds and pillows were so amazing that I had to write down the manufacturer of the pillow to see if I could buy them somewhere! Stayed on the bottom floor and on another visit had a top floor room. Bottom rooms have tiled floors, which I liked a lot. Top floors were carpeted. They serve free coffee and juice 24/7 and offer free breakfast as well as a few 'pay for' items if you wish. I have to say that I don't know how or why anyone would give this company 5 stars...I can only assume that they were either fake or bought. All I have to say is buyer beware! I booked a flat on Booking.com in June of 2022 for 4 people with an arrival time in March of 2023 ( I know, I Know, but I'm one of those individuals that plans every little detail down to the smallest detail...especially if my family is involved). The pictures were amazing and the price was beyond reasonable (which should've sent up red flags) and I booked it with the free cancellation (which turned out to be the best thing I could've done). Like other reviews messages went unanswered. The basic questions such as can we check in early, is there a grocery store nearby, or are there stairs...and if so what floor are we on since we're going to be traveling with small children. Crickets...nothing! I started to really get concerned when the listing was no longer on Bookings website. Finally, out of concern, I reached out via Booking.com and had them do a warm transfer. They confirmed my reservation and asked me to agree to a very lengthy contract and provide the who, what, where, when, and why details of my trip. Weird, but once again the the price, location, and amenities were so intriguing that I was like ok. Once I sent over my info they ghosted me again....for over 4 weeks! Once again I reached out to Booking.com and like the Red Sea miracle they responded, but this time they hit me with the "unfortunately" your flat is no longer available because it's been sold. You tell me this now...a few weeks before my trip when I've been reaching out for months! Which is crazy because the property was not listed as a property that was being listed on Bookings website. Then to add insult to injury they offer me another flat that wasn't even comparable to the first flat. When I advised them of this they proceeded to give me the we're so sorry, we don't do business like this, our email/system was down, and we don't want you to cancel your reservation give us a few more days to work something out. But at this point if I give them anymore time I will be outside of my cancellation window and my reservation would become non-refundable. And with their track record who knows when I would get a response. So I reached out to Booking.com again and they were able to assist me. The funny thing is when they found out that I made a complaint with Booking their tune changed. I received an email that read "we don't have anything to fit your needs...best regards." Pleasantly surprised! I'm a city slicker from downtown Seattle and was expecting the worst when I had to come to Elma for business. This place offers free wifi (albeit a poor connection), comfortable and clean quarters, very nice staff, free printing... I would say the list goes on but that's about all I've experienced. Also coffee and tea in the lobby at all hours of the day. And did I mention free popcorn?! The comforter on my bed is a little lumpy though which worries me. If I had to return to Elma, I would probably come back here. Especially since it's the only option. For being an inn in the middle of nowhere, Washington, I give it four stars. read more

Do not stay here! Horrible experience in EVERY WAY...! As the other posters have all mentioned when I arrived I pulled back the covers to see the sheets were covered with pubic hair (see photos). I didn't bother to complain because as the other posters have all mentioned a new room makes no difference... all the rooms are this way... So I took the towels that are provided and spread them across the bed to keep from having my skin contact those disgusting sheets. The person at the front desk was busy doing other things when I arrived and seemed annoyed that she had to stop to check me in.... Then the PAPER THIN WALLS..... You can hear every noise every word and every movement of every person on your floor.... They put me RIGHT NEXT to the elevator and All Night all I could hear was the noise from the elevator and the overly LOUD bell that rings every time the door opens. Cleaning staff and people start using the elevators at 4-5AM ....WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! So I call down to the front desk tell them of the nightmare experience and ask to move me to a different room (away from the ringing elevator alarm) and checkout at 1:30 PM so I can try and get some sleep... But Noooooo They say too bad the latest we'll let you checkout is noon...!!!! Really ?? So I paid for a night sleep and was not able to sleep more than 30 mins without being waken... I had to sleep on towels because of their disgusting bed linens, and spend the night listening to the elevator door bell. Then to top it off I get a rude front desk person who won't let me stay an extra 2 hours to get the sleep they deprived me of !!!!! So after spending the same amount that I usually spend at the Polynesian (ocean front on the beach with a view) and get a great night sleep.. I paid more to stay in this dirty, disgusting, rude, echo chamber of noise with a staff that should be working at Mc Donalds. Now I have to go to a business meetings and spend the day trying to work with no sleep and no rest. I am exhausted and have a headache and will be miserable all day thanks to the horrible choice I made picking this hotel. And a word on honesty.... Their "suite" is not a "suite" it's a single open room.. Suite implies a bedroom with a door. Also their "Kitchenette" is actually just a microwave oven. I am not sure when they allowed people to put in a microwave and call it a kitchenette but buyer beware. The bottom line is there are tons on hotels here near Aberdeen.. Choose ANY OTHER hotel unless you like paying a lot to have no view, you enjoy sleeping on disgusting linen covered with pubic hair (and who knows what else) Then maybe you enjoy paper thin walls, and listening to every noise from the guests around you. Maybe you enjoy the way the staff has turned up the bell on the elevator to be so loud that you can hear it in the parking lot. Although if you want a good light sleep.... you want CLEAN sheets and linen and a hotel that has even the slightest concept of what customer service is.... then keep looking. Best of all, Continental Breakfast with Waffle Maker. Awesome. Price was rather fairly cheap. $100 for Wednesday Night during the Summer near End of July. I stayed their on my way to Port Angeles to catch my Ferry ride to Victoria Island. by the way, Ferry Ride is my cheaper from Port Angeles then from Seattle. Like... Less than $20 per person at Port Angeles VS $100 per person at Seattle. Worth the drive if you are going to Victoria with whole bunch of people. After checking 3 different hotel close to montesano wa.this is by far the nicest one..too bad no hot tub or pool..otherwise we could have stayed here for 2 months while hubby is travelling for work. Pros. Continental breakfast with egg omellete. 24 hour free juice, coffee and tea. Pop corn serve at night. Pets are allowed here. Nice staff. Beds and pillow are very comfortable. Newly renovated and clean room and lobby. Nice laundry room. 3 dryer and 3 washer front load(1.00). Cons. No swimming pool for kids nor hot tub either. This is a really nice place. The room is very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and has power outlets and light switches right next to the bed. The hotel is safe and provides free wifi. The staff is very friendly, responsive and helpful. They provide popcorn as a snack downstairs, and have a BBQ grill in the back (according to a sign I saw). The front desk lady was helpful, and when I went downstairs to get some popcorn, I saw her vacuuming and cleaning the eating area during her down time -it was very impressive to see someone caring and being productive like that, during the evening when things are slow. read more

Had to cancel my reservation due to a medical emergency. Called at 6:00 a.m. to cancel my reservation for that evening. Was told "system won't let them cancel." Said a manager would call me back. I called again and was told a different manager would call me back. Never received a call. Spent the next week+ with my mother in the hospital, and never received a call. I was charged for the room. There should be some flexibility for emergencies, especially when most hotels allow for cancellation by 4:00 p.m. on day of reservation. I will never reserve a room here again. read more

I woke up early this morning to try to find a hotel for the night. I booked a queen jacuzzi room at Quality Inn and Suites in Elma for the night on Expedia since it was 1/2 way between the zombie run 5k and ocean shores...where I wanted to spend my Sunday. I had checked about 1/2 a dozen other travel we sites and they all said the same thing. There were 3 rooms here. 2 normal queen rooms and 1 jacuzzi queen left. All other hotels closer to ocean shores were booked up. I drove from Seattle and made good time and I had some time to kill before my run, so I decided to go and check in. When I got there...there was a woman yelling about how she had asked over the phone if she could have a room with 2 beds even though it sounded like she had booked only a single bed room through a 3rd party website. So the guy at the counter told her she had to call the other company to get this settled (which in my experience is what happens when dealing with 3rd party bookers). She refused to do that and she refused to leave until he did something about it. Well by this point I was going to be late for my race, so I left and was going to check in after. But that never happened. Cause while I was running my 5k I got a message that my reservation did not go through. Funny because not just a few hours earlier multiple websites said there were 3 rooms left. So I think they gave the screaming woman my room and then I got booted! So I was the one that had to call Expedia and sit on hold while waiting in my car to get this sorted out. The rep really tried her hardest to find me something, but as I had mentioned all other rooms were fully booked. The closest thing was back in Olympia and if I was already driving 30 mins back the way I came, I might as well just drive the last 1.5 hours home. So after about an hour on the phone with expedia, I have up and let the poor rep off the hook and just asked for a refund. I did get all my money back, but nothing for the time and frustration for having to deal with all this. (Customer service fail!) The last thing I want to do after running 3+ miles while being chased by zombies is to have to drive 2 hours home. But I ended up doing just that because all of the other hotels between Elma and ocean shores were booked up. I guess it never pays to be the good polite person. I should have been the screaming banshee and maybe I would be soaking my sore muscles in a jacuzzi tub and still on a lovely weekend vacation with my boyfriend, instead of sitting at home exhausted and upset with nothing to do. This hotel was such a steal. The room had a very modern/European look. There was a padded window seat. The colors of the room were green and purple and there were lots of lights in the room including a bank of lights over the bed with two separate switches. We booked our rooms 4 months in advance, but when we arrived, it turns out that our reservation hadn't gone through to the system. They couldn't give us our rooms because they had no vacancy that night. The guy behind the front desk was basically useless, and had no idea what to do next. This Motel is not affiliated with any hotel chains, perhaps for good reason, so no points for frequent visitors, if anyone should wish to return for a repeat experience. The front desk person at check-in was as surly as a drill sergeant. We brushed It Off and figured it was just his rough way of dealing with people. At 10:30 p.m. as we were all reading in bed, we heard a banging on the door and wondered who could be banging on our door so late at night. It was a drill sergeant from the front desk. He accused us of stomping and jumping on the floor, saying there were complaints. Of course we were not stomping or jumping or doing anything other than reading in bed which we explaind to him. He aggressively repeated there were complaints and got in our face as if ready to pick a fight. He asked if we had kids. Yes we did, but that doesn't mean they were jumping. Reading other reviews we noted many similar experiences of complaints for thin walls and loud noises. We heard noises to. Breakfast was awful. The only flavor in the coffee came from the cream we added. Perhaps this Motel management thought got mixed up and thought hospitality industry was hostility industry. Thin walls! Came to town for The Zombie Run in nearby McCleary. Found this place via Kyak/Orbitz. Also happened to be during the local fair. Owner was nice, bed was comfortable but we found dirt on the wall in the bathroom and a dirty sock sticking out of the bed skirt. You can hear people walking down the hall inside your room, above you and people talking in the next room. I think because of the price and where it's located, the clientele isn't impressive. Plan on staying with rowdy people. Besides a dirty patron (in town for the fair it seems) yelling at the owner about her online booking we were kept awake by the drunk college/high school age kids next door. Hotel staff asked them to quiet down but they didn't until they got into a fight and one of the girls left. Not impressed. read more

Our room was on the first floor and the flooring was tile with carpet runners. This made for a colder room. This is probably one of the better places in the immediate area. I'm writing this review from my room at this motel. The parking lot is an ample with plenty of parking spaces. The motel seems quite nice from the outside appearance as does the spacious lobby. I'm staying in the jacuzzi room and the room is very clean and nicely decorated. There is a coffee maker, microwave and a small refrigerator and all of these items are clean and modern. The bathroom has a wide enough doorway that would easily be accessible for a wheelchair. The bed is soft and quite and the bedding is quite nice and of better quality than other motels and obviously are freshly laundered and all are white in color. The ceilings are quite high which might cause a bit of an echo of sound and the walls must be thin as the I just got a call from the front desk that there was a noise complaint coming from my room and we were only conversing and not talking loud. I am giving this motel a 4 rating and not a 5 and if it wasn't for getting a complaint call for our being loud and for us now literally whispering instead of talking to avoid being too loud...really don't know what else to do in order not be get another complaint for noise...especially as this is the first time I've ever stayed in any motel anywhere and called for being too loud--I assume it has to do with thin walls and not for simply being loud. Embarrassed and that is my only complaint...don't know how anyone could be expected to be any quieter than we are and don't expect anything can be done about the thin walls and all. Looking forward to the continental breakfast in the lobby. Almost forgot to mention there is a large building right beside the motel that appears to be available for those needing space for a large group get together or even business meetings or that sort of thing. Oh, goodness, the guest(s) in the room above me on the second floor are walking and that alone seems loud...might consider that if you have little ones and stay here. Wow...where do I start?! So I'm disabled and have a hard time on hard beds. When I laid down I knew...bad news! So this morning I went to cancel next three nights. Hosed because I didn't give 24 hour notice. I am out 110.00 dollars two nights I got back one night,no. Asked for management. Guy at front desk said he was. I nicely explained about my back. He wouldn't budge on the 24 hour notice. So as for the room...clean and very sparse. No microwave, no fridge, one bar of soap for four people. The one miniature shampoo bottle couldn't wash my right leg. Had conditioner and lotion same size one of each. So over all I would not recommend this place. Way over priced! I have stayed at motel 6 and had better experience for less than half the price. We made the reservation on Priceline and it seemed this was the only hotel to stay in Elma. And after arriving there and cruising around town it still seemed that this was the prime, if not only place to book in Elma. This is a good "halfway point" between the coast, Aberdeen and I-5 in either direction. What I liked about this hotel was that the air conditioning was cold and the hot water was hot and plentiful. The room was very basic but had all you needed: a queen bed, a hairdryer, iron, enough towels and all the amenities There was free internet and a small breakfast in the morning and they have one of those wafflemakers which puts the logo of the hotel embossed on the waffle. Something else we noticed was that there is a place in the back (back yard) where there are picnic tables and they will let you use a barbque if you need to and there is a place where pets can run, like if you bring a dog along. read more
