Needed a place to stay for one night so we wouldn't have to make the long drive back to auburn after hiking rain forest trials all day. It was cozy clean and very reasonably priced for this area. We had checked another lodge nearby,which was way overpriced. They have a guest room with snacks ice and coffee. 2-3 restaurants within walking distance and a post office! I stayed here on a recent trip to Olympic National Park when the road to Forks was washed out. We were fortunate enough to get the last room on a rainy afternoon. The manager was kind enough to accommodate us last minute and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. The property is right next to the river with plenty of outdoor seating. In the end we didn't mind that we didn't make it to Forks. read more

An incredible stay on a beautiful property overlooking the Quinault River. We had our 2, 5, and 8 yr olds and it was a perfect place to rest for the night. We spent time reading in the hammocks, walked up to dinner at the local restaurant, and use the large grass area to get our before bedtime wiggles out. Affordable | Quiet | Great place to stay $$ Your best option to stay at Lake Quinault. We met up with a couple of our friends and stayed at this Inn. Mostly fisherman stay here, so it's pretty quiet and scenic facing the river. Owners are very friendly and always available if you have any questions or concerns. The rooms are equipped with a small fridge, but no microwave. To heat up food, use the resource center which is nearby. WiFi is patchy, but we didn't mind. Beds were a little stiff and pillows were a little flat, so my old neck injury came back. The room temperature is set to 68 degrees, which was rather comfortable for us. Overall, it is very clean with the exception that the tub didn't seem to be washed down when we got there. There were tons of hair. We really liked the Native American artwork and book of wisdom instead of the traditional Bible. Just a couple minutes walk is a small grocery store, Dino's Pizza, and the Internet Cafe. We never went to the Internet Cafe, but we ate pizza at Dino's a few times. Go there for food if you don't want to drive 15-20 minutes for a nicer meal. If you're meeting up with another family, ask to have your rooms next to each other because you can both open your doors to each other. I like that option. One thoughtful touch we liked was the single rose with small box of chocolates for Valentines day -- thank you! Overall, we recommend this place and would definitely book here again! read more

I highly recommend this motel! In fact, I'd love to return for a week's stay. The owner greets you personally and walks you to your room. To me that shoes pride in the property. The room was excellent with many homey touches. BEST towels ever! It must take a long time to dry them! Bed: awesome! I highly recommend the Quinault River Inn. It was immaculate! When I was a child and traveled with my parents my Mom would always check the hotel room bathroom before we decided to stay. She would have been SO impressed with this one. As I said, immaculate. The heat/cooling, TV, fridge and coffee maker seemed new and worked well. The freezer compartment actually refroze the ice pack from my cooler - something my previous night's accommodation didn't do. I stayed in the end unit (#8) and never once heard the people on the other side of the wall. The fitness building had several cardio machines, a universal gym, and free weights, as well as yoga dvds and music sources. Also included were cleaning supplies for sanitizing after using the equipment. My hosts, Jim and Angela, were warm and welcoming and have made every effort to ensure a safe stay. After a day of hiking it was so peaceful to sit at the fire pit and enjoy the river view. The second day was spent enjoying the ocean beaches, a short 45 minute drive away. Affordable, convenient, and pretty! Went here for the weekend and there were no surprises or disappointments. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated with the parking spots right outside. This is on the south end of Quinault River and on the edge of the Olympic National Park. There's a small grocery right near by. It was very cold when we went, but the chairs and views would be great to sit and view in warmer weather. The ownes are lovely and accomodating. As people mentioned before you'll have to drive for a decent food option, but I'd definitely return! read more

Stayed here in May 2023 while visiting Olympic National Park. Wonderful place with spacious comfortable room with mini fridge, beautiful view from room of grassy area in front of river. Comfy recliners on the front porch to hang out in. Owners are super friendly and even had an adorable puppy to play with. They have an exercise room and a room to heat food in, etc but never used them, too busy out hiking and exploring. Price is very reasonable, especially compared to places like Quinault Lodge. read more

My wife and I stayed in this small inn during our road trip around Olympic Peninsula in April 2008. We had not made any reservations and were just driving road 101 trying to find a place to stay. We stopped in small town called Amanda Park to look around and found the signage of Quinault River Inn. As I later learned from their web-site it used to be Amanda Park Motel & RV Park (4) years ago. And yes, there're still RV spots there. The funny thing is that the front desk operates 9am - 9pm only. We were lucky enough to arrive at 8:30pm. I don't know what should one do if arrives at 10pm having a reservation. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly. He gave us a ton of useful hints on local attractions and continuation of our trip. The suite was very nice and clean. Pretty spacious, equipped with natural wood furniture. The only thing I didn't like was the heating system. It worked, but the warm air distribution was not very good. There's free Wi-Fi in the inn, so we stayed connected. Don't be fooled by old-fashioned TV set in the suite, it is connected to the Dish Network receiver, so you have plenty of channels to watch. The inn is located in a very green and quiet place, so you'll be disturbed by birds singing only. Overall, it was a great experience. We liked it very much. I'd call the price/quality ratio we had very high. We paid around $72 (incl. taxes) and received a very good service. read more

Very clean and well run. Nice quiet location and close to all of the attractions in the Olympic Peninsula.

The husband and wife who operate this inn are so nice and lovely people. We talked to them over the phone (Terri and Dave) and both were so helpful and nice. I asked them for the special AAA rate and our room came out to about $99 total including tax. This place is pretty affordable and faces this little stream/river so in the morning, you wake up to a beautiful setting. They have a special guest room where you can microwave food and find popcorn bowls. Our room was pretty nice and spacious. Everything was pretty clean inside. I had no complaints about the cleanliness of the room. They have wi-fi and cable as well. We stayed at Sol Duc the night before and there was absolutely no wi-fi offered or even cell reception. Thank goodness our cell phones worked out here. Since we were checking in late, they were so nice to accommodate. We also had to check in early too and they again accommodated to our schedule. Lastly, they have plenty of parking outside the room. read more

I stayed here for New Years with my husband and some friends and had a really good experience. The hosts were really accommodating putting us and our friends in adjacent rooms and even gave us some firewood for their fire pit. The room was clean and updated. Everything was in good condition. The deck was a selling point for us since it was going to be rainy and we wanted to hang with our friends outside. The tables and chairs made that a great space and the view of the river was lovely. There was little traffic on the highway so that was not loud. The only thing that was unpleasant was that we could hear the folks in the room next to us but it wasn't a big deal. I stay here whenever I'm in the area. Rooms are clean and the owners appreciate their guests. Once I called to let them know that I wouldn't be able to check in until after hours because I got hung up at work. There is not a 24 hour front desk staff so I wasn't sure how this was going to work. They said they would just leave the room unlocked and put the key on the table. Upon arrival, not only was the key on the table, they put dinner on the table as well. Little did they know I had went through everything I had to eat that day and there was nothing open at all. Nice place. Rooms are clean. Some rooms are joined and noise travels easily through the flimsy doors. The lake outside is nice. There is wifi! Which is increasingly rare in this area. There is a pizza place right outside which is convenient. Rooms were clean, water pressure in the showers are strong. The toiletries such as shampoo are plastic one time use packets. They give you two bar soaps, one for face and one for body. read more

This was a great experience. The front desk was hey helpful and hospitable. The rooms are cool with native art work in a room theme i.e. Wolf. The rooms all face the river and are on;y about 100' away from it. The fire ring was our favorite part. Two other couples came out to join us and we had a great visit sharing stories. We stayed here on our most recent adventure as we made our way up the Washington Coast. Our stay was one of the most comfortable stays on our trip! The property managers were so kind and helpful and most of all... welcoming! The best was super comfortable, the view of the river from our room was beautiful and the night was so quiet! We had booked a fishing trip with a local guide who ended up cancelling (we were really sad), but we had booked the weekend around two special family events, so we moved forward with our trip and we were very happy we did! The rooms were nice, service was great and the folks went above and beyond to offer hiking trails, restaurants and other items of interest. This is not an RV park as the website states, unless having the ability to plug in to an electric outlet qualifies you as such. Behind the inn, there were five parking spaces with electric hook up. THERE WAS NO BATHROOM FACILITY. since we were staying in a small travel trailer without a bathroom, this served to be rather problematic. I did not appreciate the fact that we were not told about this when we called the main office ahead of time, nor at the time we checked in. We came into the park later in the evening and didn't realize they did not have a bathroom (not even an outhouse) until 930 at night, when the office was closed. Thank goodness the coffee shop up the street was still open for me to use the restroom there. We also explicitly asked if they had WIFI and were told that they did and that it worked great....we never successfully loaded the browser page, it was SO SLOW. We complained to one of the employees about our frustration with the lack of bathrooms and were told that people keep complaining about that, he was sorry. He said he kept passing complaints on to the owner but he wasn't doing anything about it. He said we could talk to the owner when he arrived later that morning. We did not stay to talk with him because we wanted to move on with our trip, but we were refunded half of our money by the one of the employees who apologized for not letting us know sooner. Furthermore, the facilities available to the inn customers, including a fitness room, were NOT available to RV customers. In the end, we basically paid fifteen dollars to squat at a coffee shop parking lot. I will not be staying here again. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights on a rainy weekend in early May, 2011. Extremely good value in comparison to other nearby options such as Kalaloch or Quinault or Pacific Beach. Great location, close to the rain forest trails and the pacific ocean beaches. The Inn is surprisingly very nice and quiet for something mere steps away from hwy 101. This is an older-time, "park in front of your room" cement block motel with a beautiful "face" - a fabulous deck stretching across the front of the building with plenty of chairs and tables - and enough overhead awning to allow visitors to sit outside and enjoy the river view even though it's practically pouring outside. The walls between units were a little thin and it took awhile for the hot water to reach our unit in the morning. Room was very clean! Fridge, coffee maker were a welcome touch. There is an exercise facility, but we didn't even look inside, so I can't say anything about that other than the building looked well kept. There's an unrelated? restaurant and internet cafe within walking distance - we ate there twice, but it's nothing special to recommend. (Eggs were cold by the time they were served because there was only one waitstaff for the entire place.) If you go a few more miles, you'll find some really wonderful restaurants, such as Quinalt Lodge, Salmon River Inn, and a handful more at Pacific Beach. Beach access is not too far and there were a lot of people digging for clams when we were there. It rained so much that we even headed down to Ocean Beach one afternoon, wandered in and out of a few shops and ended up in the local casino! Would definitely go back as the price is less than half of the other places we've stayed at in the area. read more
