I have visited Guffey's a few times; however, my last experience was not so pleasant. Ok. I ordered takeout over the phone. That went smoothly enough. Upon walking in to pick up my order, I was greeted very nicely and pleasantly, by an older woman. There was a young girl at the register, who rang me up and proceeded to tell me to choose one of the options and then sign. The options were the tipping options. I chose the 20% tip, which was $7.50. Fair enough. Upon asking for some dipping sauce (my Brother asked), the young girl asked if he placed an order. He did not, so she said there was a charge for the sauce. He politely declined. I had already placed the order. Needless to say, one of the pizzas were definitely not up to par. The cheese was very chincy and quite brown. Not burnt, but not appetizing at all. We could not enjoy nor eat it. I may not ever return to Guffey's Pizza. read more

If my rating were only for the pizza, I would easily give it 5/5. I grew up eating Imos and I have said Guffey's is even better. I tried their dry rub wings tonight for the first time. Prices were ok--slightly higher than what I wanted to pay but not so high that I wouldn't order it again. I give this place 4 Stars on Quality and Location. It's just a hop off of the interstate. I expected to have to go into Pacific but it's just the plaza down from the gas station. The staff was very friendly and polite. They acknowledged me as soon as a came in, even though the cashier was on the phone taking another order. I ordered the Supreme Pizza. It had Sausage, Mushrooms, Onion, Black Olive, Green Pepper, Hamburger and Pepperoni. All of the ingredients were fresh except the Mushrooms, which were canned. This was why they lost a Star. The sausage was good sized hunks of regular pork, no fennel that I could taste, which is of course what St.Louisans expect, but was of very good quality. I did not care for the crust, not as thin as Imo's and not as thick as hand tossed. It was pretty blah, but if you are one that the crust is the least of it, it was fine. Again, good quality, just nothing special and it's plainness did showcase the toppings. I would just maybe add some garlic butter or something. I would definitely try this place again, their Sandwich menu looks pretty awesome as well as their appetizers. The things about the pizza that I didn't care for were personal choices and not anything lacking in quality or inventiveness. I would up the game with fresh mushrooms instead of canned. Canned are why people don't like mushrooms. My order was ready very quickly and they brought it out to the car with a smile. I recommend that you try this place. Well, not only did our food make it here in under 45 minutes on a busy Friday, but my son ran a train on the mozzarella sticks. The pizza is good. Everytime I go there to pick up our pizza nobody are wearing mask or gloves. We are in the middle of the worst pandemic in our lifetime and they won't where mask or gloves. Also the last time I was there a patron standing at the counter chatting it up with an employee looked over at me with my mask on and started coughing and then laughing with the employee. Pizza is just as good as it was at old location. One time I was so baked and ordered it over phone for pickup... ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom. Went to pick it up and it smelled delicious. Asked them for some paper towels so I could eat some on way home. Ate over half of it in the car. When I got home, my roommate asked me why I got a meatless pizza. Ordered a pizza to be delivered, it showed up a big mess due to driver had to slam on his brakes. It was impossible to eat, all topping had slid off and was smeared all over the box. We tried Guffey's Pizza for the first time tonight for a family event. Pizza was fantastic & all of the family (9 people) raved about how good it was. Ingredients were fresh, toppings were generous, ordered ahead and was coming out of the oven as we arrived. Ordering was easy and every staff member we worked with was friendly, helpful & so nice.
