We were not regular clients, but they welcomed us in on the same day without hesitation and treated us as if we had been with their practice for years. Their kindness, professionalism, and love for animals were evident in every interaction. Dr. Gross herself called us (not a staff member), took her time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and never once made us feel rushed. She even sat on the floor with Copper and showed him such gentle care--it was the most compassionate veterinary experience I've had in over 30 years of dog ownership. The team was also very mindful of expenses, kept in close contact with us throughout the process, and even reached out to our out-of-state vet to get Copper's background information. They went above and beyond in every way. I truly cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Their genuine care and dedication made a stressful time so much easier, and I am beyond grateful. The emergency vet is what happens when the day breaks open. This was my third visit to an emergency vet. I have a small frame of reference. It is not a frame of reference anyone should want. Newburgh was the best of the three, and not by a little. The staff were calm without being clinical, caring, attentive. They moved like people who understood that the dog on the table was, to me at that moment, the whole point of everything. I am grateful they were open. I am grateful they were good. I hope I never see them again, in those circumstances anyway.
