This is such a hidden gem!!! My husband heard about this food stand/truck from a friend and decided…read moreto try it! We were craving authentic Mexican food and so glad we gave this place a try! It's tucked behind the 76 gas station on Blanding Blvd and has an outdoor area for dining. Super cute area with colorful decorations in the dining area! They even have a hand wash station to clean your hands too! Parking wasn't an issue when we went around 11am on a Sunday. The ladies working there were super sweet, happy, and made sure we were taken care of! We had the following: Birria tacos: 9/10 - I've had plenty of Birria tacos and these were one of the best ones I've had! I don't like soggy Birria tacos, where they don't grill the tortilla for a crispier texture. They did it just right here and the tacos came out fresh, hot, crispy, with a lime and good amount of consume (dipping sauce) on the side. As soon as I bit into one, it was game over! The consume was packed full of flavors and you can taste the heartiness of the broth and fresh herbs and the meat was so juicy!!! The lime added a fresh, acidic element to the tacos and my husband and I enjoyed them every much! I'm still dreaming about them till this day! Husband ordered a lengua (tongue) taco, al pastor (pork), and carne asada (steak) taco. He was especially excited for the lengua as a lot of places don't serve them (the ones that we have tried so far). Lengua taco: 10/10 - He devoured that taco in like two minutes! The taco was filled with lengua and generous on the veggies (cilantro, onions) and lime. Now I don't typically eat lengua tacos as the texture throws me off, but I had a bite and these were amazing! The lengua was so tender and the flavor on them was chef's kiss! I would absolutely eat this taco again! Al pastor taco: 10/10 - His favorite taco and I could see why! The pork's flavor was wow! It was like an explosion of flavors in our months and it was also devoured in 2 minutes haha. They give you so much meat for your buck too! The veggies were packed on the taco as well! Definitely getting this taco again next time! Carne Asada taco: 9/10 - Husband loved this taco and the steak was juicy, flavorful, and grilled to perfection. They give you quite a bit of meat for your taco as well! You know it's good when you're biting it and juices fall out from the steak! I had a bite and it was rich, little fatty, and overall, pretty tasty. Would have rated it higher, but the other two tacos were just a smidge better than this one. Elote: 9.5/10 - I love love Mexican street corn on the cob and oh my goodness! I took a bite and went straight to heaven! It was smothered in mayo, cotija cheese, tajin, and came with a lime. Even with all these flavors going on, you can still taste the grilled corn. The corn was slightly nutty with a hint of sweetness. They also sell it in a cup (Esquites) The prices were super reasonable (between $4-$5) for tacos. They also have other menu items like tortas, burritos, quesadillas, sopas, menudo, etc.) They even have a Birria pizza! We were a little bummed they ran out of aqua frescos though, but it's okay! Next time for sure! If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking out this place! You will not be disappointed!! They also do specials so make sure to ask them for the special of the day too.

Foot long Chili/Cheese for $10? Oh yeah, this is a hotdog/italian sausage gourmets dream! Freshly prepared on the flat top and used chili dog sauce(Not Chili). The big difference was he used melted cheese (memories of when I was kid) and not shredded cheese that always falls off and freshly chopped onions. He has combos with fries and a drink or just dogs ala carte.

Caught them just as they were setting up along Argyle Blvd near the clocktower in Oakleaf. The stand was clean, everything looked freshly prepped, and the owner was friendly and welcoming. I went with a footlong topped with spicy mustard, chili, and coleslaw. The dog had a great snap, the bun appeared to be toasted, and the chili had just the right consistency... more like a hot dog chili sauce than a full-blown chili, which worked perfectly. The slaw was crispy and added a great crunch and balance to the spice. Also grabbed an Italian sausage for my wife, topped with mustard and peppers. It looked thick and flavorful... and she said it hit the spot. I'll definitely be back the next time I see them open during the week. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth stopping by.

In addition to their own offerings, they also allow you to make your own creation by choosing the cake type and frosting flavor. Last nights choices were Red Velvet, Cookies N Cream, Chocolate Heaven, Blondest Blonde and a Churro Creation. We got Red Velvet, Chocolate Heaven and Blondest Blonde...so here's the thing - they were all good, but there was nothing special about them. Honestly could have made them at home using a box so that was a bit disappointing. Tiffylee was on the truck and was super nice and like I mentioned, fun selections so if you want something sweet and don't want to bake it, this is a perfect solution.

Right…read morenow, it doesn't seem like they are doing too much in town other than the subdivision food truck rallies and the Jax Food Truck Food Court, so I waited until they came back to the Food Court and checked them out. This was my first time getting cake/cupcakes from a dessert truck as before it's only been popsicles. Their menu gives lots of options and I'm pretty sure their most popular would be the build-your-own cupcake in a cup. Two layers of cake and two layers of frosting? Pretty cool. I didn't go for this option though as a menu item had already caught my eye, the Breakfast in a Cup cupcake: Blueberry cake with layers of maple buttercream frosting topped with bacon. Yup, I couldn't pass that up. I almost got two of that kind but I wanted something else so instead I went for the Chocolate Strawberry Bliss: Dark Chocolate cake with strawberry buttercream. Gaaaaah! These cup-cupcakes are super-duper moist! The Breakfast one tastes just like homemade blueberry waffles with syrup and the bacon is a perfect pairing! The chocolate one was divine as well but I should have stuck with two breakfast cups. You gotta try this truck!
