They could not give a damn about genuinely helping you out, most of the staff is absolutely arrogant and unconcerned with helping their patients, they barely apply the minimum of attention needed at a visit and will write it off as the first thing they can think of just to get it over and done with. They speak to their patients in such a condescending manner that it is nearly impossible to voice concerns that don't fit the description of whatever they "THINK" is wrong with you, instead of doing their job and looking in to the problem with just a little more thought. They had me then they lost me. Highly recommend to avoid at this point. A couple of years ago, had good experience with a COVID test--they were quick in getting me results from the lab. This week I also came down ill; the experience started off well with the receptionist of May 21 PM getting all of my information and checking me in. They did the test to send off, and indeed reported back my results Wednesday morning but positive for a cold, but that is where it started to head downhill. Whoever called (evidently without looking at my record) advised me to "take medicines like Motrin and Sudafed". Whoever called evidently didn't know that these are no good for diabetics--one even increases blood sugar. The DOCTOR recommended I follow up the test May 24 as I reported a loss of smell, but when I arrived that afternoon, a different receptionist was dismissive and didn't even look at my insurance and medicare cards--nor did she even ask my name. This was different from Tuesday. She demanded I pay 150.00 for the office visit and 120.00 for the test and stated "insurance won't cover this visit", without even looking at my insurance policy. This, for following the Doctor's suggestion for a follow up test. Will never go here again--nor would I urge others to go. I see a lot of reviewers have had a similar experience. How can you know insurance won't pay for it if they don't even look up my insurance? Hoping others take this as a WARNING, or a supervisor at GUILFORD will remind all receptionists to be more knowledgeable about who the patient is, and all who call about results also to be knowledgable about the patient they are calling. read more

stay away... stay away. stay away!! this is a cash cow. all they are interested in i$ your $$$$. so i walk in in severe back pain. i get a script. after 18 hrs , and no change in my back pain, i call jessica and she says she will talk to the dr about changing script. she doesnt call me back, and when i do call ...she tells me to go in and talk to dr. i go back in. she says the dr. will not change my script unless i go next door where the dr. is now a primary dr. and they want me to wait a week and spend another $110 just to start all over again? i thought drs were supposed to take care of their patients!! sad sad sad...stay away...go to gainesville or braselton ..just stay away from oakwood. bunch of clowns here! read more

Do NOT bother going here! I went in with a migraine and because I have a history of seizures, Dr. Julie Crities refused to see me. She wanted to call the ambulance or make me go to ER. I did NOT go because of seizures. I explained seizure protocol and she was horrible. It is a violation of my patient rights and horrible service. I have already filed a grievance with Aetna and will also report her to the medical board. Thanks to the staff for being so rude and making me feel like a freak just because I have seizures! People with seizures get normal sicknesses too!! Amy, answering anyone is a violation of HIPAA regulations by acknowledging they are a patient (or were). You may want to update your compliance manuals. The OIG clearly put out guidelines regarding social media. Don't worry. I'm a medical auditor and have turned this in. As for contacting you, I did and didn't hear back. But I did launch a formal complaint with the medical board and OIG. Your job is the well being of your patients, hence, prevention of a seizure triggered by a migraine that could cause SUDEP. Contradiction. Thanks anyways! read more

I visited Guilford Immediate Care in Oakwood on Saturday, December 14, first thing in the morning. The intake was quick and efficient and the wait time was brief. The care providers were professional, personal and were able to easily diagnose me. My treatment plan has proven excellent and the results were fast. I had a flu with no other symptoms but horrible coughing and I am so glad I went in. Had I not, I would be very ill today. read more

Staff needs a pep talk. They all seemed grumpy. It wouldn't hurt to smile, even if it was a fake smile. The Doctor was the worst. For being a professional he showed no manners or sympathy. I was seen in less than 5 minutes of my arrival. Total visit was about 45 minutes. Dr. Julie was extremely helpful!

Worst immediate care I've ever been to. I went in for some slight chest pain I started having a few hours prior to this experience (which they said was no problem for them to take care of). Waited 4 hours to get seen, and when the doctor came in, she started yelling at me and telling me off without even listening to my problem telling me I should have come "days earlier" when I only started having the problem that day. Every person there was rude and inconsiderate and acted as if they didn't want to be there or want me to be there. Would rate 0 stars if possible. NEVER GO HERE!!! read more
