I'm not exactly sure why this location has not received higher stars in the past. I went last night and they were absolutely amazing. The nurse was wonderful I called this morning and they told me her name was Cynthia. She was amazing and, so very kind. I had blood work taken, and they were incredibly professional and fast. And I could not recommend the doctor I saw more. As I said I called back this morning and they told me the doctor's name was Dr Yosef. He was absolutely professional, meticulous, and asked lots and lots of questions. I understand that during this season immediate care facilities get very busy and sometimes that can be stressful for customers. I just want to be sure that it is noted what an incredible experience I had. Thank you all so very much! read more

At this place, it really doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not. The wait time is entirely too long. My daughter and I came in for her sports physical and waited for 2.5hrs. However, the front desk staff was very kind and cordial. read more

This practice is absolutely incompetent. My wife was sent there for bloodwork after a needle stick injury at work and they made her wait in the lobby 30 mins and then exam room for 30 mins and could not draw blood. They told her since they tried twice to draw blood she would have to go elsewhere, (they were closing), and after a heated discussion they drew blood from the other arm but they did not get the required 3 viles and told her she'd have to come back again. She went to a separate LabCorp facility to get the additional blood drawn, (no issue drawing blood), but today told her that the CBC panels were never done on the initial blood draws, after she waited an hour today to see them, and have now written orders for new blood draws. She left their office and thankfully is NEVER GOING BACK. (We will pay to have our primary care practice do the new tests). We would not recommend this practice. read more

Unable to get records of my treatment despite repeated attempts and filing all the appropriate paperwork.

No one in the waiting room and waited an hour for an EKG to clear my son for combat sports. That was with an appointment. He has no prior health issues. The nurse practitioner, A. Abiri, refused to do the EKG because she does not agree with combat sports. They refunded my money and front desk apologized and didn't agree with the NP's decision. Waste of time! read more

As an Emory employee I'm actually embarrassed to be associated to this place. The first time that I came here the wait was unnecessarily long. The second time that I came I was turned away because I got there at 7:50 pm. Literally just wanted a Covid test. I'm a registered nurse so I know how quick they could've did it but the receptionist looked like she was already mentally checked out and prepared to leave even though on the website it says they close at 8:00 pm and take walk ins. Wellstreet urgent care is so much better save yourself the hassle and go there. read more

I made an appointment for 9:15. I arrived early and there was only one person ahead of me. It states it opens at 8 but I don't think the doctor arrived until after 9. There were no patients coming in and out and it was so quiet. They took the one person in after 9. It was after 10 when the doctor came in. She tells me she is waiting for a specific room because that is where the eye care exam needs to be done. Well why would you not put me there in the first place??? You know I have an eye problem. It's now 10:46 and I'm still waiting to be taken to the room. I know the patient that was in that room left already but here I am. It has been well over 2 hours. They have 1 doctor and a few assistants. It's not even that busy. People after me have come and gone but here I am. What is the point of an appointment? I get moved over to the "eye room"and basically it's no different. Everything in there could have been moved to my room. There was no heavy or special equipment. I think they were literally trying to make time. I don't normally write reviews but I want to make sure others don't make the same mistake. Also make sure not to read Google reviews, it's clearly incorrect. My mistake and my last. So I hear the doctor go into another room and I still wait. Finally she arrives. She gets two assistants to help keep my eyes open. She aggressively places the drops in my eye and checks with light. Then she flushed my eye with a ridiculous amount of water. So unnecessary and uncomfortable. Gave me a Rx for antibiotics even though I'm sure that wasn't the problem. Sure enough it wasn't. But honestly I don't even fault her with the misdiagnoses since they don't have all the equipment. It was the length of time I was there, which was over 3 hours with an appointment and being the 2nd person there. Get your act together!!! Run from here! read more

Go anywhere else. What a joke to call yourself "urgent care" when you don't even stay open as late as you advertise. Emory should be embarrassed! I went in tonight to get a Strep Test. Arrived at 7:35. They close at 8PM. There was literally NO ONE inside waiting. I walk in and the girl asks me if I have an appointment and I get the vibe immediately that she and the other employee are ready to go home. I said "your website says you take walk ins and you close at 8PM". She was nice and said she would have to see if the system would allow me to be seen. Typed a few clicks on the computer and said "oh you will have to come back when we open tomorrow at 8:15, the system won't allow us to see you tonight". Yet they were open for another 30 minutes. This was a case of employees wanting to go home. Period. There is a Piedmont Urgent Care less than 5 min away- she said I could try them but it would prob be a massive wait. Well I took her suggestion and drove 3 min away to their competitor and Piedmont Urgent Care took me immediately and said "we are open until 8pm and take walk in's." Took Piedmont Urgent Care (next to Golden Corral) less than 10 min to check me in, test me and send me on my way with my positive result for strep and a prescription! So good job to the employees at Emory for sending me to Piedmont. At least I was seen during active business hours. Pro tip. Work until your normal business hours and don't pretend the computer won't allow someone to be seen. Shameful work ethic. read more

I had a doctors appointment at 11:30 I arrived and checked in at 11:15. After I checked in a young man came in as a walk-in they told him about a 30 minute wait. At 11:30 they call the young man in which was my appointment time. I questioned the receptionist while he was taken back first when my appointment was at 11:30 and she informed me that there are two nurses and I will be called back soon. at 12 o'clock I asked to speak to the office manager she went and told the office manager I wanted to speak with her and five minutes later the nurse came to get me. I told the nurse I was waiting for the office manager and she told me she would be in the room to speak with me, she never came to speak with me, I ended up finally getting out of there at 1:15. The doctor there is great, but the office is poorly managed. read more

Came to get tested for strep throat, 1st the front lady charged me $45 when my insurance says $35 for urgent care. When asked she said," oh with anthem we are allowed to charge for specialty visits. Then after I was swabbed, the nurse said that it would be 15 mins, and hour later she comes back and says everything is negative and that they are going to send it off to the microbiologist . And i asked if they tested for viral or bacterial strep. And she said there is only bacterial strep. Which made me realize how bad this place was. I later called back to ask why they charged me $10 extra and shes like let me redirect you because we dont handle any money on site. read more

From the receptionist to the Medical Assistant Yonne to the Nurse Practioner Michelle Reed! they also sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy immediately. Arrived just as they were opening for the day. Was called back before the new patient paperwork had time to even be filled out. I was seen by the PA she was kind, caring and very efficient. I was prescribed medication for my symptoms and was out the door within 30 mins. I even called the next day regarding an issue and the PA called in a new medication with no problem. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I came in here suffering with cyclic vomiting and needed an IV. They seemed nice at first but had trouble placing the IV. They tried in both arms and were unsuccessful. It was about 7:50 and I asked if I could wait for my ride to pick me up. I figured they wouldn't mind waiting because if the IV were successful I would have been there until 8:30+ anyways. They said I could wait and about 5mins later asked me if I could wait outside because of the cleaning crew but I truly believe it's just because they wanted to go home. I even informed them that my ride was only 10mins away. Never come here. They lack the skill to provide quality treatment and the compassion to be dealing with humans on any level...especially healthcare. read more

"Follow up with your primary care provider." AKA find a real doctor because there are none here. That should be the name of this clinic. All you need to do is keep reading the 1 star ratings to see how you will be treated. My experience was no different. No help for an infection except we need to run tests and to be told to wait 1-2 days to find out. They called with results and they tested for strep which I told them it has never been strep. I have had this infection 15-20 before I got my tonsils out. It's never strep but they tested for strep anyway and said follow up with your primary care provider. I wasted $70 on a co pay so I could get the medicine I needed to get well. Won't make that mistake twice. read more

My daughter had an appointment for a physical at 330pm we arrived at 3pm. while approaching the front desk to sign in we reaching a stand off attitude from the front desk worker. While waiting we noticed a lot of people that came in after us being called back before us and getting taken care of before us and leaving to continue their day. I waited 1 hour and 30 mins before approaching the front desk and asked how many people are before us and i received more attitude from workers. It felt like they did not like their job or just didn't want to be at work. I then asked why did they take my payment before we were even seen. It seems as though they take your payment before you get called back in order to keep you there to wait. It was 2 hours and 10 mins before we were actually called back for a very quick physical for my daughters high school. I would not recommend this place to anyone on any circumstance. read more

The dr and staff, great! The process, ridiculous! I don't understand why the name business name has immediate in it when there is no urgency in the process! Had an appointment for 2:45. Arrived at 2:28 and signed in. No one was at the counter. 20 minutes later, my daughter walked to the back to find the receptionist in the break room. She logged us in and went back to the break room. Went back to room again to ask her and she said we have only been here for 18 minutes. That was the time she went to the front , not what time we were here. Had to wait an hour and we had an appoint.ent. there was 1 lady in the waiting room when we got there and 1 car in the parking lot, which was probably hers. They have exceeded the uprofessional destination today. Extremely upsetting. About time to find a new location for services. read more

They also said there were lots of patients for the drive up Covid testing. There were hardly any cars in the parking lot and not a single person has gone in or out in the last hour. This place is terrible- even for the most routine visits they are bumbling with incompetency and take much longer than reasonably necessary. This place is of such more quality that they had to change the name because before doing so they had a 1.6 out of 5 stars which is you do the math that is a 32 out of 100 which is failing badly. I have met two wonderful doctors here. I feel awful bc I forgot the one docs name. He has grey hair and is a lil husky, but so funny and sweet. Dr London, knew exactly what was wrong with me and I had no clue! The only reason I knocked off a star is bc the receptionist has the personality of a doormat! Different members of our family have been to Hiram location several times over the years. The doctor / medical care is okay when you got to have a place to go. The office / reception staff needs customer service training, often unfriendly and very limited in their ability to explain things. The billing system and related staff is worse, compounded greatly by evolving insurance coverage changes and poorly formatted billing documents. Recent billing nightmare means we will never go back. They would benefit greatly from new billing software that makes it easier for their people and customers to read bills. Talking to our pharmacy staff about them reveals additional examples of concerns. Recent trip for bad sore throat- right at $300. including shot and strep test. Insurance paid $63. read more

Horrible. Brought two sick children. After being told a 45 minute wait, was ushered to "Triage" after almost a hour and a half. The children were treated poorly and the triage nurse was very impatient and very frustrated with them because they were cranky (hint lady.. they are SICK). Took every ounce of energy to not freak out on this woman. After triage, was moved to an exam room, where we waited another 45 minutes. When we inquired about any further delays, we were told it could be another 30-45 minutes. We cut our losses and left. Waste of time, waste of energy. Save yourself the pain and go to another place. There are plenty more around that actually care. read more

I went to visit the Dr. for a prescription, that I thought I needed.... after googling my symptoms of course. When he examined me, he started asking a lot of questions. His point, was that he didn't just want to treat the symptoms, he wanted to get to the root of the problem. Well, to make a long story short, Dr. Pelishev, did get to the root of the problem. Sure, I got the prescription for the symptom, but no don't, have the symptom any longer, and I don't need the medicine either! Went here because it was he only place open on a Sunday. Was seen by a "nurse practitioner" who couldn't have been over 20. Literally didn't even touch my infected toe, told me it looks fine then wrote me a prescription for an antibiotic that "could give me kidney stones". Just received and email 3 weeks later for a bill of $75!!!! I called to dispute and they said they had a card on file and it was going to be charged within a week, apparently one of the forms has fine print giving them "consent". Then I was offered 5% off the bill. I will never, EVER go back here, never recommend to anyone, and I laughed out loud that they have such low ratings.
