This restaurant is still the BEST in Starke! The food is delicious, fresh and made-to-order. Their menu is extensive and there's something for everyone! Expect a little wait time especially during lunch and dinner hours because there's a lot of locals that order take out. It's definitely worth the wait though...family owned and operated. The ambiance is fast casual with a few tables and chairs if you want to enjoy your food immediately. I usually eat-in with my mom. The service is great with at least 1-2 people taking your order and giving you recommendations if you are wondering what to order. I always get the tofu with either brown, garlic or General Tso's sauce. It's available with white rice, but you can ask for fried rice as a sub. No matter what sauce you choose, they are all very tasty so try all of them. My mom loves their shrimp in lobster sauce and she chose the combo plate. She says it's the best and we always stop here on our way back from Gainesville. If I honestly could I would leave no stars, my family has been ordering here for years ,their food is good but the attitude received when a problem with your order comes about is ridiculous. I had 2 separate orders one was missing a dinner and the other was missing egg rolls. I went inside and told the girl that usually works there I called and made an order and one of my family members called and placed an order and what I was missing she proceeded to be smart mouthed and say it's easy for the meals to be mistaken when that wasn't the case and then told me "well I only rang you up for two plates so your going to have to pay for another" and says there's one the same plates already made in the back ready? Pick up order two items missing had to drive back to get the white rice and sweet and sour sauce for the sweet and sour chicken. General TOS chicken was dry very stringy lacked taste. I always get food from them at least 2 times a month. This last time the food was bland. I got Szechuan beef. The meat was tender but the only flavor was the hot peppers. No garlic or and sauces with flavor. The crab rangoons were just cream cheese no flavor either. Egg rolls were soggy and again no flavor. I won't be going back to them sorry. After 7 years of going there. I finally got nasty food. After so many good meals. I went back to ask them to recook three of the six dishes. I was treated like crap. They refused to help me. If I could leave no stars I 100% would. I decided to get take out for me and my daughter and ordered sweet and sour chicken (just the chicken) for my daughter and a general Tso's chicken combination dinner for myself and some krab rangoons. I did notice the prices were not the same as they were on line which she informed me were because a customer posted those and not them. I paid and left. When I got home I noticed there was only 10 pieces of sweet and sour chicken in the box that I paid $7.29 for. When I opened the general Tso's there was 25 pieces of chicken which comes with a side and egg roll for $9.99. I immediately called and asked the reasoning and they said because I ordered a small and I asked them to explain how that made sense when I paid $2 more for 25 pieces of chicken, a side, and an egg roll? It made no sense. So I took it back up to the store for a refund and she said where is the sauce and I said I'm sorry I had left it at home and she said that that would be a $1.50 off the refund because I did not bring the sauce. I started to reason with her asking her to explain why the portions were such a big difference, why she did not tell me to bring the sauce with the chicken, why she couldn't just refund me the full amount for the chicken I had brought back? She argued back and forth for a min then did not give me the full refund after wasting my time and gas. She proceeded to talk about me to other customers as I was leaving and then when I got home and read the menu some more I realized that they did not give me the white rice that was included in the charge with the sweet and sour chicken and she said there would be not difference in charge because that was free with the purchase of the chicken? Why was any of this not made clear? We can give free rice with a meal but can not give me a refund for the sauce I clearly did not know I needed to bring back with the chicken? My family has been ordering from Gui Lin/ Lin Gui for years. On any given day, I'll call and order my usual ( an entrée of mogolian beef and an entrée of sesame seed chicken to-go), one worker will reply "Ok, 15 minute." About 15 minutes later, I'll grab my hot meal which easily feeds a family of four. Now, don't be expecting miracles from the food. It's a cheap chinese joint, and you get what you pay for quality-wise, but the potions are always generous. And, unlike many other chinese joints I've tried, I've never gotten sick. I ordered take out and got general Tso chicken and began eating it normally. At about half way through my meal. I noticed something weird in my food I thought to be a bone it was not. What a lovely little Chinese restaurant. It's family operated I know this because the girl who took my order couldn't have been over 10 years old. They were very prompt and seem to do quite a bang up job of to go food. I sat and ate with them and I tell you my order of kung pao chicken with a little bit of rice and up egg roll was a huge portion. The important thing about this kung pao chicken was how many items were in it I mean there was the celery, the water chestnut, the baby corn, the onion, the chicken, the bell pepper, and a couple other things I can't even call up on my memory right now but all of it cooked together very well and made for a delicious dish. You would think that the only Chinese take-out available in this small town would be sub-par at best, but this restaurant dishes out large portions of high quality New York-style Chinese food. Ive tried an array of menu options.. I normally order the shrimp mei fun and my fiancé either orders the bourbon chicken or general so's. We love the steamed dumplings as an appetizer or chicken teriyaki sticks or crab Rangoon. It's all superb! The lo mein is the best I've had. The only complaint I have is we always ask for "easy on the sauce" for my fiancé's chicken dishes and even though they repeat it, he never gets less sauce. It's turned into a joke really.. The staff is super friendly and you'll normally see one of their children quietly playing a game within the restaurant. We love this place! read more

Totally disappointed. I ordered hot and sour soup, fried dumplings, house special lo mein, and two dinners (egg roll plus rice): sweet and sour pork and beef and broccoli. ~$35. Pretty much my standard order at any Chinese takeout anywhere. The hot and sour soup actually tasted good but only had tofu/veg. (Better soups have lots of meat and shrimp). The fried dumplings were practically inedible; hard tough dough around an unseasoned piece of meat. No sauce came with the sweet and sour pork (forgotten?). The rice that came with the dinners was gross (yellow coloring and tasted like it came out of a packet). The beef and broccoli was ... unappetizing to look at and tasted equally subpar - tacky breading on beef strips, no color, sauce was light and nothing like any beef with broccoli I've ever had and didn't taste good at all. A sign on the wall says "our food is ethnic. No refunds if you don't like it." Pretty sure the food just sucks. Won't be back. read more

Love everything I get from here. Chicken noodle soup is to die for. Shrimp lo mein is awesome. It has big juicy shrimp with lots of noodles and awesome flavors. Their krab rangoons are crunchy on the outside, but super flavorful on the inside. read more
