I came on local's night in the summer for €15 which was a good deal. I enjoyed myself, but it was completely packed! I don't know if there are more people there on local's night or if that's how it always is. It felt challenging to get a drink at the gravity bar, and then there was lnowhere to sit. I wasn't sure if I could take my drink down to another floor, but that would've been the better option. The views are cool at the gravity bar though. I also did the self guided tour and it was interesting, but this isn't a must see to me.
Is it too commercialized? Yes. Another tourist trap you could say... but if you never had a brewery tour, then it's worth visiting. The highlight was at the end, where you go up to their observation lounge for a drink and the view. The view of the city was nice, sit down, relax and enjoy a drink while taking in on the view. If you do go up to the top for the view and the drink, try to book your tour early, as around 11:30am, the place was packed.
I have been here twice and love it! It's such a fun experience especially if you actually want to learn about the delicious beer! We got a hot dog at the little restaraunt inside which was good. The vibes are just cool! Whether you go in the daytime or at night it's still such a cool vibe and amassing views! Staff is always so nice and helpful :)
I know that people have said that this place is "touristy" and "overdone" and, yeah, it totally is and I absolutely LOVED it. I admit I am a total nerd for science museums, fermentation, vintage advertising, contemporary art, historic architecture, and panoramic city views. So yeah - I could have stayed here all day. And we were not even doing the longer tours with the Tasting or the Pour Class. My traveling companions were not as intrigued by ALL the things and we stayed for probably 2 and a half hours including a too-fast imbibing of a pint of the most Guinnessy Guinness I ever did have. I could have easily spent an additional hour or two there if I had had the time. Pro tip: The Gravity Bar is on the seventh floor, and I'm guessing it has that name because you are extremely aware of gravity as you climb the stairs from the fifth floor. There are lifts available, but they are quite full. The entire Gravity Bar is packed, in fact. The view is absolutely stunning...but when trying to consume the second half of the included pint I realized there was probably a better option than standing in a hot crowd, so we did walk down to the fifth floor, where some seating was available. I think a bonus benefit of doing this is that it leaves fewer flights of stairs to wind down to the exit and the gift shop after you have consumed that pint. An even better pro tip might be to just get a half pint. We had talked with some friends from the UK before we came to Dublin. They had said it was amusing to see all the half-finished pints of stout there that the tourists had been unable to finish. So I took that as a challenge, even though of course literally no one was judging me or even cared one bit about this.
Honestly, it feels more like stepping into an immersive experience than a typical brewery tour. It reminded me of a polished, high-quality simulation you'd find at EPCOT. The tour is interactive, thoughtfully designed, and engaging at every level. Each floor builds on the last, blending history, and hands-on elements to understand the brewing processes. The experience is impressive, even if you're not a beer drinker. You must visit the Gravity Bar. The views are absolutely stunning. Sipping a perfectly poured pint while taking in panoramic views of Dublin is the kind of moment that sticks with you. Highly recommended!
Summary: Highly recommend. If you enjoy Guinness Beer and products or how Arthur Guinness positively impacted the economy and families of Dublin, the tour is worthwhile. Schedule a few hours to get the full effect. When my family and I planned our trip to Ireland and scheduled a stay in Dublin for a few nights, we reserved tickets for the Guinness Storehouse tour. On the day of the tour, we walked past the horse and buggy rides on Bellevue and posed for pictures by the iconic large Guinness Gates, I could feel the anticipation building. Walking inside the main entrance and through the ticket area was relatively sterile and quiet. Once inside the Storehouse, however, sights and sounds abounded. Tours begin at the center and bottom floor of the seven floor, pint-shaped (as in a pint glass) atrium. Although a tour guide kicked off our experience with interesting facts and history, most of the tour was self-guided. A quick summary of the 7 floors: Picture an immersive infomercial (but one you chose), with some cool displays along the way. And, several opportunities to drink the world-famous Guinness Stout. If you like to drink Guinness, all the ticket packages include the drinking room where you are taught how to enjoy a Guinness with a smaller glass and given a coupon for a free pint or non-alcoholic beverage choice on the top floor at the Gravity Bar. We chose the Academy package where we learned how to pour the "Perfect Pint", receive a certificate (of proof of completion), and then enjoyed our beer, complete with a foam mustache. We enjoyed the view and another brew at the Gravity Bar. Food options are available along the way and the big merch area is located on the bottom floor.
So, the Storehouse drew more people than the Eiffel Tower last year. The day we were there, 7,500 people were expected. It's wild. So if you're going to go, book the Connoisseur experience as soon as you've decide that you're going to Dublin. You get the full public experience plus 2 hours or so in a pub setting with a Guinness expert. It's quiet and fun: 16 people maximum. Several different beers to drink, plus s/he answers all your questions. Yes, it's crazy expensive but so much better than the crowds. While a factory tour would be better, this was a fun afternoon.
Guinness storehouse is well worth the price of admission. There's all the marketing piece, but when you arrive on the tasting room floor, there is a large hall, where if you stay for a while, there is a 40 minute show. Ours started with a drum lesson (bodran), and then had a live band complete with Irish dancers and and electric harp player. It was great and felt like an Irish experience. Upstairs, the views were fantastic and the food was quite good with ample portions. I felt like it was an excellent experience and I'm surprised they haven't opened one in Las Vegas and Orlando!
If you're a Guinness lover like me then it's only proper you visit the Storehouse in Dublin. I've been twice. It's seven stories of history, nostalgia, and well, beer! This was once the fermentation plant but now it's got the Guinness Academy where you learn to do a proper pour, an experimental pub, gravity bar, food, a gift shop...of course. The first time I went it took me about two hours or so to get through the whole place. Took about an hour the second time because I knew what I wanted to see and do. There are interactive exhibits that help provide history and education on the brewing process, how Guinness started, and so on. I highly suggest purchasing tickets in advance because they get so busy and you don't want to miss out on this extraordinary experience.
The Guinness Storehouse is absolutely worth the visit -- a newer, beautifully designed installation that's genuinely impressive from start to finish. It's a self‑guided experience that you move through at your own pace while learning about everything from how the iconic beer is made, to the evolution of its marketing and advertisements, to the history of the Guinness family and brand. It's engaging, modern, and well done. Make sure to stop at the Guinness Academy, where the staff teaches you how to pour the perfect pint (a must‑do). After that, head to the top floor for a 360° view of Dublin and the factory grounds. You also get another pint on the house -- enjoy it with friends while taking in the views. Don't forget to stop at the gift shop on the way down; they have something for everyone. Highly recommend booking a reservation, and the earlier the better. We arrived at 10am on a Wednesday and by the time we left around 12:30pm, the place was absolutely mobbed. A fun, immersive, and well‑run experience. Five stars and an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Dublin.
Super fun interactive brewery tour! Lots of information but lots of ways to consume it. They offer many languages for this self guided tour. Many restaurants (some don't open til 12). Your free pint of Guinness (or soda) at the end of the tour is really just a cherry on top to a really cool experience. And because it is self guided you can move on whenever you're ready. Even if you don't do beer go the tasting room and smell and learn about how the beer should be consumed!
The Guinness Storehouse is a must if you're in the area. I don't really care for beer, but I tried mine with black currant and it was so good! You could easily spend 30 minutes or 4 hours here. It's a beautiful "museum" and easy to navigate. Give yourself a little longer than you think you'll need.
Admitredly part of the reason I even wanted to visit Ireland+Dublin was due to my love of Guinness. Touring the storehouse did not disappoint! Despite how large the place is, it was easy to find the beginning of the tour and follow along from there. The building is several stories and covers the finest details of the Guinness production from the family to the land, ingredients, and those that work behind the scenes! I enjoyed the marketing section which showed some rather quirky ways that past Guinness advertisements were made. The bar at the end where you can finally have a pint of Guinness is a perfect finale to the rather epic tale. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend it!
A very nice stop to take in the Irish institution. We went with a simple tour. It was well organized but surprisingly busy on a weekday. Staff across the board were friendly and helpful. The food options largely shut down by 5 or 6. We were a bit surprised but ultimately it made good sense. The newer setup is pretty nice and the walking tour takes you up many floors. The gift shop is very extensive with some fairly priced option. Certainly a must when in Dublin. read more
I was pleasantly surprised this lives up to the hype. Very well designed self-guided tour, ending with drinking on top floor with a stunning 360° view of the city. For lunch we recommend the Smoked Salmon plate in the Brewers Dining Hall on floor 5. Served with 2 slices of delicious Guinness soda bread and several vegetable dishes. read more
It was a fun self tour of how Guinness Beer was made. Easy to understand for those not fully invested in beer process. At the end you do get a complimentary pint of Guinness. Wish they offered private tours with more details. Big and spacious and beautifully decorated for the holidays as well. Ticket distribution was quick and employees were friendly. I was super excited for the Guinness Storehouse experience but it was super disappointing. I preferred the Jameson tour which was guided and had more detail. The Guinness tour is very superficial and light on details. It is self-guided, which would be fine if the exhibits were more engaging and had more details. One of the first sections was the best: an area on barrel making (cooperage) that had a great video of someone making a barrel, good descriptions, and barrel-making tools on display. This section is what I wanted the whole tour to be like. Unfortunately, all of the other sections were more style than substance. There were some flashy but meh videos, a flashy but meh art installation, a very basic tasting experience. I liked seeing old Guinness factory equipment and historical Guinness advertising and promotional items, but these sections also didn't have much content or descriptions. The advertising section had tablets to show you video ads, but they were all broken; you could use them to navigate, but none of the videos actually played. Guys, you need better quality control. We booked the Guinness Academy Experience, "where a Guinness expert will teach you how to pour your own beautiful pint of Guinness." It was okay. Some people got private lessons and knowledgable instructors but we had to share our lesson with another group and our instructor was meh. I could get the same info from reading the instructions printed on the tap handle. All the printers were broken so we had to ask to get a certificate. We saw staff trying to fix them to no avail. All the upcharges for Souties and Academy are super tacky. The upstairs Gravity Bar sounds cool but is also weak in execution. They only serve two types of beer there which is super lame; there's only so much regular Guinness I want to drink, at least serve extra stout and a couple other types. The views are theoretically great, but the windows are lined with tables and people sitting down enjoying their pints (rightfully so), so if you actually want to look out the windows you have to awkwardly stand by them and peer over their heads. We didn't stay very long. This would be a 5 star experience if they added more detail, fixed obvious problems, and reduced admission prices. read more
This was actually my favorite attraction in all of Dublin, and I am not even a Guinness fan. It is basically a tour of a brewery. You will learn the history of the beer, with some information on how the company started and grew to what it is now. And at the end of the tour, you can visit their rooftop bar where you can get a pint of Guinness that is actually already included in he price of your admission. The facility is beautiful with a clear glass atrium in the middle of it all. The Guinness Storehouse is definitely a must see for visitors to Dublin. read more

I was actually a bit disappointed in this tour. I know it is a staple, which is the reason for 2 stars instead of 1, but it was very impersonal, and I felt very rushed. I do not recommend being the last tour of the night. Everything closes down as you're walking through it, and it really changes how the whole tour is. Even though they tell you to plan 90 minutes, I felt like we needed to get out of there within 30 to 45. The gravity bar is very cool, but the service was very short with us (we couldn't ask questions about the beers they had), and kind of rude. This was such a disappointment as we've had incredible experiences going to the distillery tours. I don't recommend this tour. read more

A visit to Dublin would not be complete without a visit to the Guinness factory. When you go, you will most likely get hungry from all the beer tasting and walking around. The Guinness storehouse is what they call the factory itself. It is a very interesting tour if you care about beer at all. Guinness continues to be a world class brand with insane marketing power. The Dublin airport should be named the Dublin /Guinness airport because of the aggressive advertising conducted there. The tour is a must if you are in Dublin. Go on the tour whatever you do in Dublin it should be on the top of that list of things to do there. read more
This tour was AMAZING! This was the first ever beer tour I've ever done, and now my expectations are set high. First of, make sure to book online. We got the 11am on a Wednesday and sooo glad we did! It wasn't super busy and we didn't feel overwhelmed by people. When we left at 1pm, it was PACKED! We also got an Airbnb that was in walking distance, so we didn't have to worry about taxis or buses. The website said it would be about 90mins. We were there for almost 2 hrs. That is because there is a tasting room where they teach you how to drink Guinness and then the gravity bar is Just spectacular. The gravity bar is at the very top, where you have views of Dublin and seating areas. If you come here hungry, there are a few cafes and bistros on your way up. There are also elevators for those that need them. Every staff member was welcoming and friendly and you learn so much about the beer and it's history! read more
First floor you come to is meet and greet. Take selfies. Shop in their gift shop. 2nd floor starts self guided tour. It also has a cafeteria. 3rd floor has the tasting room and it tends to fill up. They will leave you in a queue until there is space. At some point, you just loose track. But there are like 7 floors. We did the academy tour. Which included pouring the perfect pint! Kat was our bartender. They were amazing and made us completely comfortable and cheered us on. There was no pressure but they found it funny how much stress we put on ourselves. You will find lots of interesting info here. And a must know, the original color of Guiness is Ruby Red. read more
This is a quintessential tourist attraction for Dublin and I gotta say, I wasn't disappointed. Very informative and honestly, just fun. I loved the fact that you can get your photo printed on the beer itself, I've never seen that before. The top floor has a giant bar with panoramic views of the city. Totally worth it! read more

An absolute must visit if you're in Dublin. I walked here from my hotel (it's totally walkable from most anywhere in the city, get out and explore!) and picked up a ticket and tour upon arrival. I like that the tour is self led and you go at your own pace. There's a feeling that comes over you as you approach all of the surrounding streets and gates of Guinness, I can't quite explain it but there's an energy in the air and you know you're in Ireland. The space and floors dedicated to the tour are all very nice, I'd expect nothing less from Guinness. Concluding the tour with a fresh pint at Gravity Bar is really nice. I can see where this would be a really fun experience for large and small groups alike. I went solo and enjoyed every minute of it. Each area of the tour will leave you in awe, from the barley to hops and yeast, water, casks creation, transportation to advertising - this is a full tour that one will gain a thorough understanding of this company from. Now that I'm back in the states and St Patrick's Day is approaching I'm seeing large displays of Guinness in my local grocery stores and it's bringing back the fond moments of being here where the magic happens. Not sure a Guinness taste as great as it does in Ireland, so take a trip and have one here! I think I'll forever be entranced by the correct way to pour a Guinness on draught and the science behind the nitro bubbles, forming beautiful layers of creamy smoothness on the head. The Guinness Storehouse is the perfect rainy or free day attraction to visit in Dublin. The masses descend upon it, so it can get crowded at times, but the layout is intuitive, with plenty of spots to grab a bite, sample some Guinness, or take a break. I've been here twice now, and they have done a wonderful job of maintaining and updating the facilities to keeps things fresh and modern for visitors. Apart from the tasting rooms, each ticket also includes a complimentary pint of Guinness on the top floor bar which offers some of the most impressive views of the city of Dublin. I particularly liked the exhibits on the advertisements they've done over the years. The gift shop has quite a bit of overpriced Guinness branded merchandise, but it didn't deter the swarms of tourists from purchasing souvenirs. The Guinness Storehouse might not be for everyone, but it's a fun experience to kill a few hours while touring Dublin. read more
The Guinness Storehouse is nice but not really what I expected. I would have loved to see more authentic fixtures and materials. Everything was nicely put together, but I wish it had more of a factory vibe. I feel like the most interesting part of the experience was learning how to pour a pint of Guinness, but even that was underwhelming. The gravity bar on the top floor was also very packed and busy. It was hard to really enjoy the views with all the people. I think for the price of this extraction, it's not really worth the money to me. read more
Never have I ever had a Guinness beer but when in Ireland, make sure you try one. First time trying the beer and the experience was enjoyable. Loved learning about the history and the making of this unique beer. The walk through is fun and allows you to go through it at your own pace. My favorite was the blue waterfall on one of the floors. Make sure to take pictures there. The sound of the waterfall is incredible. I loved the view at the end. The enclosed rooftop allowed us to end our site seeing with a wonderful drink and a spectacular view. Not many people around to help around the walking touring area however it's pretty basic and easy to walk through. Great and lovely experience to enjoy with friends or a loved one. read more

Expensive to walk through a touristy promotional beer museum. You get one pint of beer at the end, which helps ease the pain a tiny bit. Very crowded on weekends. Not a factory tour. Parking is a challenge and traffic is terrible. read more
Very unique experience for a brewery visit - there was clearly a TON of effort put into the educational displays for the process of making the iconic Guinness beer. Learned a lot, appreciated the insight into the evolution of the brand, and enjoyed the tasting included in the ticket! I tried their non-alcoholic draft too and it was quite good! As others have mentioned, the tour takes you from ground story up to the viewing deck with a nice panorama of the city, but be prepared that it is quite crowded up there. Agree about calling this the "Guinness Experience" - more than just a tour! read more
Omg all I did in Dublin was drink! What an outstanding customer experience tour. There are so many levels to explore and so much Guinness history and photo ops. It's self guided so you go at your own pace. Very well done! The highlight at the end is the Skybar with 360 degree views. Loved the Guinness Clear (ha ha). Make sure you ask for one as it goes well with anything! We got the Stoutie which allowed a selfie to be imprinted on the head of your freshly poured pint. Great for memories. Wonderful staff and you see and learn a lot here. I would've stayed longer if I wasn't doing the Jameson Whiskey tour the same day! Definitely worth a stop here. read more

What an amazing experience this was! I lived learning all about the history of how Guinness was made and how it has evolved to the beer it is today. I actually appreciate that this is a self-guided tour and they have some really incredible effects throughout the experience. At the end you get to go up to the Gravity bar and have a pint of Guinness. The bar has wonderful views of Dublin and it's a pretty cool experience. I do feel that they should limit the number of people that can be up there at one time though. It was so busy upstairs I saw people fighting over tables and it was really difficult to get even a few nice pictures because there are just too many people in there. Overall though I definitely think this experience is worth it and a must if you are visiting Dublin. read more

I'm always apprehensive in booking tours like this one, and it just kind of reinforced my opinion of them. Yes Guinness is a world renowned global Irish brand and of course no visit to Ireland is complete without at least having a pint. Because of Covid, this was a self-guided tour which was fine. As you enter and proceed up the escalator you were kind of bombarded by large flashing lights and a gift shop before you enter the actual exhibit area. Well we did spend some time looking and learning about the brewing process, the experience overall was just average. Once we completed walking through the brew process, we went up several stairs to get to the floor where we could enjoy a pint. I'm not sure where the elevators were but if you are an older customer or have mobility issues you would have to find the elevator to get to this level. We were seated along the window which gave a great view of the city overall. However it wasn't that busy and we waited close to 10 minutes. No one came to us to take our pint order so we got up and left. We support the hospitality industry and understand that there may be limited or shortage of staff and we brought our patience but we just couldn't wait any longer. The floor below this one also had where you could pay €6.50 To have a photo placed on the foam of the Guinness pint. We opted not to do this and just left. Our time there was brief and I'm not sure I would recommend this. Yes it might be worth visiting once but overall the price is not a good value. We enjoyed ourselves more at the Jameson distillery. We also pre-booked our tickets ahead of time before leaving on our vacation which I highly recommend. We took a cab from the Merriman Park area But it looks like some public transportation is nearby. There was also a cab stand right out front. There's tons of retail shops around the city as well as airport to pick up Guinness branded merchandise if you decide that you aren't going to visit. I think a better experience would just be pub hopping. read more

We arrived in Dublin for the day, and my husband made a bee-line to this brewery. One of the things we enjoy doing, is going to each place and getting a magnet. Well, you cannot enter this facilities gift shop without purchasing the tour. We were so bummed! We were actually told to go to a local chain souvenir shop to purchase "the same" things they had. Even Christ's Church Catherdral will let you into the gift shop to purchase a rosary without a ticket! I would recommend changing this policy, because we would have likely dropped at least 100 euro in that gift shop if given the opportunity, but didn't have time to take the tour. I hope you consider changing this policy. We came in from Texas, so it would have been really neat to have actually purchased from the Guinness brewery. We did take pictures of the outside, and it was amazing! read more

Busy place, interesting history and everyone says you have to take the Guinness tour if you are in Dublin. Self guided tour so you can see as much as you want, but it is commercialized so you get a slick marketing presentation and not a true behind the scenes tour of them actually brewing the beer. A pint at the end with great views of the Wicklow mountains. Yes, if you're in Dublin you should go. read more

Plan to give yourself enough time to do everything here. This is a self-guided tour that I would say could've easily taken 2 hours if you go through everything! We came here from the Jameson tour and so it was a little disappointing with it not being as immersive as the first one. They did give you a sample but there was no info in the sample room, and the staff just told us all to chug it lol. If you're going to go here, spend the extra 12€ and pour your own pint. This was the interactive portion I was missing! This made the experience worth it for me, and you get a print out certificate for this! read more
