I came on local's night in the summer for €15 which was a good deal. I enjoyed myself, but it was completely packed! I don't know if there are more people there on local's night or if that's how it always is. It felt challenging to get a drink at the gravity bar, and then there was lnowhere to sit. I wasn't sure if I could take my drink down to another floor, but that would've been the better option. The views are cool at the gravity bar though. I also did the self guided tour and it was interesting, but this isn't a must see to me.
Is it too commercialized? Yes. Another tourist trap you could say... but if you never had a brewery tour, then it's worth visiting. The highlight was at the end, where you go up to their observation lounge for a drink and the view. The view of the city was nice, sit down, relax and enjoy a drink while taking in on the view. If you do go up to the top for the view and the drink, try to book your tour early, as around 11:30am, the place was packed.
I have been here twice and love it! It's such a fun experience especially if you actually want to learn about the delicious beer! We got a hot dog at the little restaraunt inside which was good. The vibes are just cool! Whether you go in the daytime or at night it's still such a cool vibe and amassing views! Staff is always so nice and helpful :)
I know that people have said that this place is "touristy" and "overdone" and, yeah, it totally is and I absolutely LOVED it. I admit I am a total nerd for science museums, fermentation, vintage advertising, contemporary art, historic architecture, and panoramic city views. So yeah - I could have stayed here all day. And we were not even doing the longer tours with the Tasting or the Pour Class. My traveling companions were not as intrigued by ALL the things and we stayed for probably 2 and a half hours including a too-fast imbibing of a pint of the most Guinnessy Guinness I ever did have. I could have easily spent an additional hour or two there if I had had the time. Pro tip: The Gravity Bar is on the seventh floor, and I'm guessing it has that name because you are extremely aware of gravity as you climb the stairs from the fifth floor. There are lifts available, but they are quite full. The entire Gravity Bar is packed, in fact. The view is absolutely stunning...but when trying to consume the second half of the included pint I realized there was probably a better option than standing in a hot crowd, so we did walk down to the fifth floor, where some seating was available. I think a bonus benefit of doing this is that it leaves fewer flights of stairs to wind down to the exit and the gift shop after you have consumed that pint. An even better pro tip might be to just get a half pint. We had talked with some friends from the UK before we came to Dublin. They had said it was amusing to see all the half-finished pints of stout there that the tourists had been unable to finish. So I took that as a challenge, even though of course literally no one was judging me or even cared one bit about this.
Honestly, it feels more like stepping into an immersive experience than a typical brewery tour. It reminded me of a polished, high-quality simulation you'd find at EPCOT. The tour is interactive, thoughtfully designed, and engaging at every level. Each floor builds on the last, blending history, and hands-on elements to understand the brewing processes. The experience is impressive, even if you're not a beer drinker. You must visit the Gravity Bar. The views are absolutely stunning. Sipping a perfectly poured pint while taking in panoramic views of Dublin is the kind of moment that sticks with you. Highly recommended!
Summary: Highly recommend. If you enjoy Guinness Beer and products or how Arthur Guinness positively impacted the economy and families of Dublin, the tour is worthwhile. Schedule a few hours to get the full effect. When my family and I planned our trip to Ireland and scheduled a stay in Dublin for a few nights, we reserved tickets for the Guinness Storehouse tour. On the day of the tour, we walked past the horse and buggy rides on Bellevue and posed for pictures by the iconic large Guinness Gates, I could feel the anticipation building. Walking inside the main entrance and through the ticket area was relatively sterile and quiet. Once inside the Storehouse, however, sights and sounds abounded. Tours begin at the center and bottom floor of the seven floor, pint-shaped (as in a pint glass) atrium. Although a tour guide kicked off our experience with interesting facts and history, most of the tour was self-guided. A quick summary of the 7 floors: Picture an immersive infomercial (but one you chose), with some cool displays along the way. And, several opportunities to drink the world-famous Guinness Stout. If you like to drink Guinness, all the ticket packages include the drinking room where you are taught how to enjoy a Guinness with a smaller glass and given a coupon for a free pint or non-alcoholic beverage choice on the top floor at the Gravity Bar. We chose the Academy package where we learned how to pour the "Perfect Pint", receive a certificate (of proof of completion), and then enjoyed our beer, complete with a foam mustache. We enjoyed the view and another brew at the Gravity Bar. Food options are available along the way and the big merch area is located on the bottom floor.
So, the Storehouse drew more people than the Eiffel Tower last year. The day we were there, 7,500 people were expected. It's wild. So if you're going to go, book the Connoisseur experience as soon as you've decide that you're going to Dublin. You get the full public experience plus 2 hours or so in a pub setting with a Guinness expert. It's quiet and fun: 16 people maximum. Several different beers to drink, plus s/he answers all your questions. Yes, it's crazy expensive but so much better than the crowds. While a factory tour would be better, this was a fun afternoon.
Guinness storehouse is well worth the price of admission. There's all the marketing piece, but when you arrive on the tasting room floor, there is a large hall, where if you stay for a while, there is a 40 minute show. Ours started with a drum lesson (bodran), and then had a live band complete with Irish dancers and and electric harp player. It was great and felt like an Irish experience. Upstairs, the views were fantastic and the food was quite good with ample portions. I felt like it was an excellent experience and I'm surprised they haven't opened one in Las Vegas and Orlando!
If you're a Guinness lover like me then it's only proper you visit the Storehouse in Dublin. I've been twice. It's seven stories of history, nostalgia, and well, beer! This was once the fermentation plant but now it's got the Guinness Academy where you learn to do a proper pour, an experimental pub, gravity bar, food, a gift shop...of course. The first time I went it took me about two hours or so to get through the whole place. Took about an hour the second time because I knew what I wanted to see and do. There are interactive exhibits that help provide history and education on the brewing process, how Guinness started, and so on. I highly suggest purchasing tickets in advance because they get so busy and you don't want to miss out on this extraordinary experience.
The Guinness Storehouse is absolutely worth the visit -- a newer, beautifully designed installation that's genuinely impressive from start to finish. It's a self‑guided experience that you move through at your own pace while learning about everything from how the iconic beer is made, to the evolution of its marketing and advertisements, to the history of the Guinness family and brand. It's engaging, modern, and well done. Make sure to stop at the Guinness Academy, where the staff teaches you how to pour the perfect pint (a must‑do). After that, head to the top floor for a 360° view of Dublin and the factory grounds. You also get another pint on the house -- enjoy it with friends while taking in the views. Don't forget to stop at the gift shop on the way down; they have something for everyone. Highly recommend booking a reservation, and the earlier the better. We arrived at 10am on a Wednesday and by the time we left around 12:30pm, the place was absolutely mobbed. A fun, immersive, and well‑run experience. Five stars and an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Dublin.
Super fun interactive brewery tour! Lots of information but lots of ways to consume it. They offer many languages for this self guided tour. Many restaurants (some don't open til 12). Your free pint of Guinness (or soda) at the end of the tour is really just a cherry on top to a really cool experience. And because it is self guided you can move on whenever you're ready. Even if you don't do beer go the tasting room and smell and learn about how the beer should be consumed!
The Guinness Storehouse is a must if you're in the area. I don't really care for beer, but I tried mine with black currant and it was so good! You could easily spend 30 minutes or 4 hours here. It's a beautiful "museum" and easy to navigate. Give yourself a little longer than you think you'll need.
Admitredly part of the reason I even wanted to visit Ireland+Dublin was due to my love of Guinness. Touring the storehouse did not disappoint! Despite how large the place is, it was easy to find the beginning of the tour and follow along from there. The building is several stories and covers the finest details of the Guinness production from the family to the land, ingredients, and those that work behind the scenes! I enjoyed the marketing section which showed some rather quirky ways that past Guinness advertisements were made. The bar at the end where you can finally have a pint of Guinness is a perfect finale to the rather epic tale. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend it!

Tour is self guided and takes about 45 minutes to walk through. It was very crowded so I recommend buying tickets in advance. If you already know how beer is made you probably won't learn anything new. Admission price does include a pint which you can get at the bar at the top. They do have fun extras you can pay for along the way like getting your selfie imprinted on your beer. If you're really enthusiastic about being in Dublin go ahead and do it but you can can easily save your $ and get a pint at a pub. read more

Now, this is a great great tour! If you haven't done it yet and you are a fan of Guinness you should def do it. Before you go in, a tour guide does a really really cool introduction of the deed of the place. Really cool stuff, the tour guide was very clear and concise with that cool Irish accent all of us Americans love lol. So the whole tour is in levels, you start at the lower levels and the start of the process of making Guinness which is really cool. As you walk up the levels, the further into the process you get. History, marketing and making everything. Once you get to the top there are a couple bars and restaurants. We ended up with the "Stoutie" onto the foam of the beer, kind of like they do with Starbucks but with beer! We also missed Steph Curry and his wife by like 4 days! I was pissed! But it's a really cool experience, the machine messed up my picture at first, so the guy gave me TWO beers! On top of the first one. Then you can head up to the top where there is a gravity bar and you can see views of the city! Beware the "clear" Guiness ;-). They also have other beers on tap as well. Awesome experience and good to know all of this stuff about one of the most iconic beers in the world. Good stuff! Great staff!! ;-) There's also one of the coolest gift shops I've seen. Only thing they didn't have is the classic Southeast Asia beer tank tops! But the quality of the t-shirts are dope. read more
A must-see in Dublin! We paid a little extra to have our selfies on the Guiness foam- although gimick-y, we thought it was worth it! The self guided tour was informative but the real highlight was the freshly poured Guiness and the views at the top of the storehouse overlooking the city. Would recommend to anyone visiting for a beer (or three!) read more

This was NOT as touristy as I was expecting- rather it was almost museum like and similar to a brewery tour. We took our time, toured ourselves and the views from Gravity Bar were perfect. I strongly recommend taking time to visit the Guinness Storehouse! read more
You can't visit Dublin and not stop into the Guinness Storehouse. You can take walk through the storehouse and view their exhibits. The very top floor of the Storehouse, you can get a pour of your favorite Guinness. My friends and I each had a pint and I was curious of the 00. It actually didn't taste bad. For those who don't like the regular Guinness, the 00 would be a good option - to hang with the crowd and not feel left out! read more
Reserve your tickets in advance!! Time slots gets booked quickly. We got two free pints with our tickets, one that you pour yourself and another at the bar on the top floor. We also bought an engraved pint glass that we picked up when we were there. Absolutely loved the experience! I did have a certain amount of expectations coming here and it met my expectations. I must say going to this place was a great idea! I had a good experience. If you're ever in Dublin, visit and have a taste of Guinness. I learned a lot and spent more than two hours at this place. There's a lot to see and do here. It may not be for kids, so use your discretion for that one. More for adults as there's drinking and tons or reading + walking around. I really enjoyed the tasting room. Don't miss that part as it comes with your ticket. read more
We booked the the self guided experience, which includes a Guinness beer. There are seven floors to explore. We went from floor to floor using the escalators. There are only escalators going up though. In order to go down, you either had to take the stairs or wait a long time for one of the two elevators. While we were there we also ate at 1837 Bar & Brasserie on the 5th floor. The 7th floor is where the Gravity Bar is and where you get your pint of Guinness. The bar has great views of Dublin, but it may be hard to find a seat. I'm not a beer person, but these are one of those things that you just go and do while in Dublin. read more
"I'm gonna run to you, run to you, run to you - woman be still" - U2 In my efforts to throw my arms around the world, I visited the Emerald Isle and one cannot come here and skip Guinness. You just simply can't do that. That would be like going to London and not stopping by Big Ben or coming to Chicago and not having a Chicago style dog or slice of deep dish. And my love affair with Guinness stout started while I was a teenager and our bar, at the time, was the Chicago lakefront. A friend brought a six pack of Guinness stout and we had it at room temperature and it felt more like having a meal - it was that thick and good. Fast forward to adulthood and I was able to visit this monument/brewery which is full of so many things to read and admire and ponder. It's just a wonderful experience, not to mention the delight of having a beer or two as you stare out and soak in Dublin. I was in love with the Irish before I came here and visiting Guinness just further solidified my future visits. Wouldn't it be great if Guinness was our vaccine?! read more

We bought our tickets online in advance and were glad we did! Even in the somewhat off season, it was crowded. The self guided tour was really interesting and walked visitors through the whole brewing process including the sourcing of all the ingredients. The exhibits on advertising were fun; there is even a short video in the cinema area with television ads from over the years. We went up to the Gravity Bar for the view but then went down to the 5th floor to Arthur's for our pints and a nice place to sit. The view is amazing on the 7th floor, but it was standing room only even on a weekday afternoon. If you're not into standing with your drink, I recommend this option. You can also get food at Arthur's which is nice as well! Yes, Guinness here is definitely different and better than what we get in the US even if they have it on draught. Definitely worth doing if you're in Dublin! read more

Absolute must while in Dublin! There are several different tours to choose from at different price points. The store is filled with fun merchandise and the bar on the top floor has a beautiful view of the city. The Guinness draft beer is to die for! Loved spending every minute here! read more

Great family activity with many sights to take in. I took a self guided tour that is organized and takes you in sequence through the brewing process. Large, modern space with escalators and lifts for different physical needs. Sensory safe areas and warnings for sensory overload areas posted throughout. I was impressed by that. Finish your tour with a trip to the gravity bar and take in the 360 degree views of Dublin. Very impressive while a DJ spun some tunes. Loaded merchandise shop on the ground floor. read more

Great tour, totally recommend if you love Guinness. It was very informative and the best thing is, it's a self guided tour after a short introduction of what to expect. There are Sevenfloors in this place, it's great. The top floor is all windows so you can see the whole city of Dublin. Pretty neat. read more

Are you looking for something to do while visiting Dublin? I'd highly recommend the Guinness Storehouse. There's about 7 floors to explore and immerse yourself in the Guinness experience. Some of their displays are visually intriguing, such as their waterfall exhibit, which drops water into shapes and letters. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Some of the exhibits have an interactive element as well, such as photo backdrops and a touchless harp. I really appreciate the space being accessible with elevators to every floor and wide enough pathways for crowd control and for wheelchair users. Even though it was clearly busy, the museum never felt overly crowded. We could walk through, taking our leisurely time. While you can skip around floors, especially if you're using the elevators, the museum is modeled to travel through the floors and everything displayed on the floors in order. We each received a voucher for a free Guinness drink of our choice with our tickets, which can be redeemed on the top floor. That was probably the best part overall! read more
The Guinness storehouse has plenty to observe and learn about the history of the "black stuff." The view at the top floor was very cool. You can get your picture stamped onto the foam of your beer. I was surprised at how detailed it came out! Lots of photo ops and quirky fun stuff. If you don't like Guinness, they have a couple alternatives as well, like Carlsberg. It is pretty touristy but I think that is a given. Gift shop is cool, too! Lots of fun items for folks back at home. read more

First time in Dublin! Read some reviews about the Guinness storehouse and everyone said to skip it! But honestly I think it was very much worth your money! It was a self guided tour, doesn't really mention that but it's nice to go at your own pace. We did the stoutie and a free taste test. The taste test was really cool because you got to go into this whole room which was filled with the aromas for the the beers. It was delicious and we got a little history of Guinness. The stoutie was great as well we got to take a picture and after 30 seconds later we were drinking our faces!!! Super cool concept. Very much enjoyed it. When we went to the top it was very pretty and you can get a few different beer as well as NA beer too! Overall had a great time and I would recommend it, you get a little history and a few brews! read more

This may be one of the coolest attractions in Dublin. Even if you are not a beer drinker or don't appreciate the smooth taste of a fresh cold Guinness you have to check out this storefront, attraction, and 360 degree view of Dublin. I'm a sucker for a great view and the Gravity Bar at the top of the storehouse is the best way to see Dublin. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand because it was a very busy place. Although there were lines forming in the front of the building, the wonderful layout and the accommodating staff keep the flow of people moving gracefully. This is a self guided walking tour through the history of Guinness. They also have audio guides available, and QR code information. You learn how Guinness is made, how the company started, the masterful marketing, and how it has evolved throughout the years. There is so much interactive info where you truly experience the smell, taste, sound, and feel of a Guinness in the making. As you make your way around and up the building you reach the rooftop bar where you can get an included pint of draft Guinness. The Storehouse also has several restaurants and lots of shopping. You can easily spend several hours here. It is like Disneyland! read more
Now I understand why this is the #1 Tourist Attraction in all of Ireland. (#2 are The Cliffs of Moher which we also loved). Even if you don't like beer, this is a very interesting history of the frothy brew famous round the world -- and a history of early Irish factories. Place is HUGE with 7 floors to explore. Lots of interactive stuff, and TWO beer tasting areas with the best being on the top floor with AMAZING views of the entire city. I never much cared for the taste of Guinness here in the states -- but getting a proper pour of FRESH beer made all the difference. Allow a few hours as there is lots to see and you can relax at the top floor enjoying your free pint. Oh, there are several places to eat as you wind your way up to the top -- food not bad at all for a museum. read more
My family and I went to tour the Guiness Storehouse. We were able to book our tickets online and were assigned a time to show up. We arrived a little early but got in right away. There are several choices and we opted for the tour that ends at the Gravity Bar which is on the top floor with a 360 degree view of Dublin. There are a number of displays with information about the history of Guiness as well as how the beer is made. One floor has hops growing which I found interesting as I had no idea what hops were. One floor has information about the coopers-the people that built the kegs and the skills required. I especially enjoyed the floor with the advertising history which information about the characters chosen and examples of past advertisements. There was also information about the ships that carried the kegs of beer. The last and top floor was the Gravity Bar where you are given a glass of Guiness and have a great 360 degree of the city of Dublin. There is a gift shop on the first floor with many kinds of memorabilia available. We really enjoyed the tour and were glad to have done it. read more
I visited the storehouse on my last trip to Dublin. The tickets are fairly priced and I opted to purchase the option to have a selfie placed on top of my drink, which must be done beforehand and is an additional €5 (but it gets you an extra drink ticket, your regular ticket includes one drink, the €5 is separate and is a completely other pint). I arrived about 20 minutes early to the storehouse and thought I would need to wait but the check in time is more of a suggestion and there were no formal tours that I could see, it was more of a "go at your own pace", which is fine because every room tells you all of the information you need to know. Now, I found out pretty quickly that Guinness wasn't for me. I don't normally like beer anyway so this wasn't a surprise but still, I was a little sad and disappointed in my own tastebuds, but when in Dublin... But, the Storehouse is lovely. They have many many many floors of information and they even have a taste testing room where they teach you how to properly taste Guinness (swirl it, let it sit in your mouth for a moment before swallowing and then breath in through your mouth after). Even though I didn't like Guinness, the view afterward from the Skybar is amazing. Best view in Dublin(even if it is a little crowded). As for the selfie pint, I thought it was a cute idea but as I was by myself, the novelty didn't seem as worth it afterward, so I'd recommend doing this mainly with a group. read more

Amazing opportunity to learn the history of Guinea's. It's a self guided tour that takes you through its history, origins, culture, brewing process, and much more. At the very end you get an amazing view of Dublin and the hills around. The staff was friendly and helpful along the tour but would highly recommend a personalized tour where they walk you through the whole thing. Food was good on the second floor but looked better on the fifth. The view on the top floor makes it all worth it but try and snag a table as soon as you can. Cheers! read more
Eh, it's OK I guess. It's obviously very touristy, but something you have to check off on your list of places to see in Ireland. The place is quite large (six stories tall), and you can easily spend a good part of the day here. It took us about 3 hours to get through the whole thing, It's €18.50 per adult to get in (if you purchase them online), and it's a self guided tour. There's a spot in the middle of the ground floor that has the original lease from 1759. This is where you start your orientation tour. A guide comes out every 5 minutes or so, and greets everyone, and then explains how to start and where to go. After that, you are on your own. You don't get to see the actual brewery, but you get to see a lot of history about Guinness, the brewing process, and an entire floor dedicated to the history of Guinness advertising. This floor was quite interesting. There's an open air cafeteria on one floor where you can have lunch and a pint or two, and a bar & brasserie on another floor for more of a sit down dining experience. Included with the price of admission is a ticket for a free pint of Guinness. You can redeem it at the Gravity bar, or at the Guinness Academy, where they teach you how to pour a perfect pint of Guinness - yes, there's actually an art to it. If you want to check out the Gravity Bar with a 360 degree view of Dublin from six stories in the air, go up there early and do it first. When we got to the top, it was wall to wall people and you can't get views of the outside, let alone get a draft. It was CRAZY packed and I could only handle a few minutes of that business. Once you return to the ground floor, there is a HUUUUGGGE gift shop with any Guinness paraphernalia you could imagine for sale. ***Buy the Dublin City Pass to get free admission. read more
I absolutely HAD to visit the Guinness Storehouse (Brewery) when in Ireland. It's what Ireland is known for in the rest of the world, besides great whiskey. It's billed as Dublin's number 1 tourist attraction. The price was 25 euros = $27.44. Not too bad for everything that's included on this tour. Each of the 7 floors on this tour has something new to reveal about Guinness. The gift shop has everything you could ever dream of buying related to Guinness. I learned how Guinness is made using the simplest ingredients: roasted barley (at 449 degrees Fahrenheit), hops, water, and yeast. They used to deliver Guinness in wooden barrels they made on-site (at the Guinness cooperage) and send them out on ships. Although it appears black, Guinness is actually ruby red when you hold it up to the light. I really enjoyed the advertising floor. They had all the sketches and drawings created by John Gilroy from 1930 until 1965. These advertisements were known worldwide. They even had some statues of his art and the iconic Guinness harp, which is displayed on every can and bottle of Guinness. We entered a tasting room on 5th floor and sampled some Guinness from a pint shaped, shot sized glass. The spokeswoman showed us how to smell it and then drink it quickly to avoid the bitter head that negatively changes the flavor profile. She encouraged us NOT to keep these miniature shot pints. On the sixth floor, they show you how to pour your own pint from live taps. It is a two part process to get it right and you have to let it rest a bit after the first pour. No one discouraged us, so we went in for a second pour. This was the freshest possible Guinness I will EVER have and I savored every last drop. Finally, the tour culminated on the seventh floor at the gravity bar. There was a 360 degree view of Dublin and it was breathtaking. We drank a third pint up here and then rushed out for a tour of the nearby prison, Kilmainham Gao, where many Irish Revolutionaries were executed. read more

If you like beer or just want to experience how it's made, I would recommend cooking here. You'll spend a few hours or more through the self guided tour. There is so much to see. The gift shop has many nice items to choose from. There is also chance to sample the beers they offer. Definitely a place to check out! read more
