This place is a joke. The techs do NOT know how to set up a guitar. Do not let them touch it!

Maybe it's me but I'm just not a fan of an establishment where the employees aren't enthusiastic about their jobs.

This place is a fast easy way to sell your unwanted items for cash…read more That's green cash put in your hand, before you walk out the door. This is not a pawn shop, where they are loaning you money, while holding your valuables. If you default on the loan, the pawn shop gets to sell your valuables. Here, they make you an offer on the spot for your electronics, jewelry, watches, high end audio, tools, etc. That's it. You sold your items to them, and they in turn resell these items. That's how they pay their bills. Of course, you would make more money selling your stuff privately, on the web, etc. But that takes weeks, if anyone buys them at all. Plus there are a lot of horror stories about Craig's List. You won't have those problems here. This place is safe, in a nice area, right on Route #35, in a strip-type shopping plaza, in Oakhurst. I have found the people that work here to be very accomodating, and willing to work with you. They are friendly and professional. Here's a couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Don't even think about trying to sell things that are stolen. They won't take them, you need a picture ID to sell them anything, and they (rightfully) will cooperate with the police to hunt you down. 2. Bring everything that came in the box with the item you are selling. If you don't, you are going to be paid less than full boat. If you are selling a watch for example, bring the box, extra links for the watch band, and the instruction manual. If you are selling any kind of electronics, include the power cord, remote control, etc. They probably won't take your electronics without these basic items. 3. Your items will be examined and tested carefully, before an offer is made. So if you don't know the password, if you can't turn the thing on, or if it's not genuine, don't waste their time or yours. If you follow these simple steps, you will get a free, no obligation offer for your items. You are not under any obligation to sell, all or part of your inventory. If you are ok with their offer, you sign a simple form, stating that you are selling items that are actually your property, and then....you get paid. In green cash. It's really that simple. It's immediate payment, no internet listings, no meeting strangers in your home, and there are no games. While you are there, look around. There is lots of great merchandise to buy, at a very big savings.

Matt brought my guitar and ukelele from "Rustic Grime" to Masterpiece!…read more I brought my 20-year-old Walden Natura D550 and a vintage 1953 ukulele to Matt, and the results are honestly shocking. The '53 uke was in rough shape--old, rustic, and covered in decades of grime. Matt transformed it completely. He finely detailed the body until it was shining like a mantle piece, fixed the tuners, and recommended Nylgut strings that make it sound incredible. It went from a dusty relic to a daily player that I can't put down. For my Walden guitar, Matt performed "wild work." The action was high and the strings were dead, but he used a "cold clamp" technique on the neck and hand-carved a perfect unbleached bone saddle. He even recommended a spectacular cocobolo bridge to match the guitar's aesthetic and tone. Both instruments came back sounding "shockingly fantastic." If you have an instrument that has lost its "soul" or just needs expert engineering to sing again, Matt is the man to see. A true master of his craft and a total professional.

During our conversation I noted that his passion for Guitars was clearly evident. I felt confident that he would bring more musical life to this instrument. Matthew checked fret wear, the string action (and spacing) , the guitar neck, tonality, guitar bridge and stability, string groove, action, tuners, fret buzz, saddle height, intonation, pick up height, stable tuning and much more, He is meticulous and precise. My instrument now has new Life, Vibrancy and now runs on all Musical Cylinders! It is a pleasure to know Matthew and the positive aura that is felt when you are at MW Guitar Repair. You will walk in with a smile and leave with a bigger smile. Thank You friend. I truly appreciate the intense work you perform. Additonally your work is of Heart and Soul, sincerely.. Respectfully Tom E
