They gave me a much better deal then those overpriced places and shockingly better then Craigslist on a twin reverb in excellent new condition. I felt quite at home there and they were very very helpful . I mentioned the Doobie Brothers by chance and they jubilantly explained in deatail that their building was once a recording studio where the Doobies first started at. They had an amp the Doobies had used for pre-show warmup for sale and was labeled as such too! The shop is well organized and displayed, the inventory was drool worthy and I was given quite the tour, even into the inner sanctum, where the King's jewels were displayed. A most memorable visit and a steal of a deal! Highly recommended! I will return. And avoid the other places .

He snapped, "That's a 2k drum set," and then told us to use the "kids set" instead. Completely unprofessional. He even refused to get a manager and falsely claimed he was one. A real manager later told me he wasn't even Guitar Center staff. Joel ruined my son's first visit here. After two decades of loyalty, I'm taking my business elsewhere -- likely Starving Musician down the street.

I was in luck this day as I found both a brand new e-drum amplifier and a used Sheraton at fair prices. Looking the guitar over I noticed the nut for the instrument jack was loose and asked that it be tightened prior to purchasing. On a semi-hollow & hollow body guitars this can be a tedious task, hence why I asked for assistance. The guitar tech, Dimitri, stopped what he was doing and went above and beyond my expectations to remedy the problem. It was not a quick fix and he kept me updated throughout the process. Starving Musician is my first stop when looking for music gear. They have been around as long as I can remember and offer the best trade-in value for your used gear. Always a great experience.

I was 2 hours late to my gig and they ended up giving me their display because it was all they had of that particular speaker so I could do my gig since I paid full price for a speaker that didn't even work. Christian said he wasn't able to refund me my $650 even tho it was their mistake, so he gave me store credit of $650. I became even more upset that he didnt even give me any type of discount when I decided to use my store credit to buy the most expensive speaker he convinced me to purchase. Then the last straw was when he told me he would call me and let me know when my products arrived and are ready for pick up.... He didn't tell me until 2 weeks later but he was so persistent with calling me in the beginning to make the sale ... I told him I don't check my email and appreciate his calls but taking 2 weeks to let me know it arrived.... Smh. All good I just would be cautious when purchasing with christian he's focused on sales not our happiness. He is quick to make sales and call me daily to check if I'm ready to go back to make a purchase but not so quick to tell me my order arrived and was ready for pick up. Walked around a bit and was unsure of who worked here. An employee found me and asked if I needed any help. I responded with I was here to pick up an order. He said he would go to the back and look and see if my order was ready so I waited. I walked around a bit, hoping he would come back and get me once he had my order, but I was mistaken. As I saw him helping a customer at the register, I walked over to the register so he would be reminded that he was getting my order from the back. I was nonexistent and I waited almost 20 minutes before another employee came over to help me. I would understand if the store was packed because I know it is a few days till Christmas however, the store was pretty empty when I came in I was the only one there so I should've been able to pick up my order and leave and not have to wait more than 30 minutes. Maybe I'll have a better experience next time I come in because I did see some fun items for my grandkids.

My visit was on a Wednesday afternoon to consign an instrument. If you purchased the instrument from there, you get 75% of the selling price; if not, you get 70%. I consigned an old Yamaha in great condition with all the equipment from years ago. Craig- the manager- helped me find the previous invoice to speed up the process. Was done around 10 minutes!
