This a great place for dancing and having some fun !! They have a nice size dance floor! There are several bars around so you can get fast service! The food cart is putting out some good stuff! I had a carne asada burrito that hit the spot after dancing !! They have free lessons Thursday and Friday!

Best country bar in Ft. Worth.

This is the second time we've been to this bar from out of state. It is a blast. I highly recommend it..

Cheap drinks and 2-steppin on Bryant Irving. I don't eat the food, I don't know why that is labeled like that.

Why does the DJ suck sooo bad? The drinks are typical. Dance floor has adequate space, but the DJ is terrible.

When you walk in you are met with what appears to be a hot dog spot (which I have heard has awesome food but I haven't been so that will be another visit) but if you look to your left there is a green door that leads you to Cru. Once inside it's dark as most lounges are and there are no windows. The tables are more like lit up boxes that you would sit a drink on versus eating from. The staff were all great, they made suggestions and were friendly, told us if we wanted hookah that we needed to be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for them to get it together. So I asked about the bottomless mimosas and I was informed it's not technically bottomless. They bring a carafe and then you get two refills. You do get to choose between pineapple, oJ, and cranberry but they use brut so I decided on a cocktail. I also got the southern peach and she asked if I wanted vodka or whiskey which I greatly appreciated because I didn't want the vodka. I also ordered the fish and grits but I asked if the sauce could be put on the side. She told me no problem, however when my food arrived there was no sauce on the side. There also were no condiments (hot sauce, butter), some of us got our food on a pretty plastic plate and others got their food in to go containers (although we all were eating there). I got plastic silverware and no extra napkins. With all of that said, the grits were seasoned very well as was the fish. Sadly some of the ladies had been waiting for a long time and we were informed that there was only one person in the kitchen and that they couldn't get anyone to come in and help. So at times we did see that the waitresses were also the bartenders and the staff were being run thin. It's 2 o'clock and we are still waiting on the DJ to show up to get the karaoke started. It was almost 3 when he finally showed up and it started a little shaky. After the first song, things seemed to pick up a little, there was line dancing taking place and the singing seemed to finally work itself out. This place has SO MUCH potential so I'm hoping that they can work out the kinks and be a nice little spot to hang out with friends.

There is plenty of parking, and they are located in a little shopping center right by AMC. When you first walk in, there is a hot dog spot. This is not affiliated with Cru. There is a sign that says Cru this way. Follow the sign. When you walk in, it is a square room sitting against the walls and in the center of the room. But there is still enough room for some line dancing. On Sunday, they have karaoke, but if you do an older song, you may have to look up the words on your phone. It is supposed to start at 2, it did not start until 3. While we waited for karaoke to srart, the staff made sure we had drinks and were very attentive and friendly. If you have a party of 20 and you want to eat.. you may have more of a challenge. Unfortunately, the latter was my experience. Some of the folks from my party had to wait over an hour to eat because there was only one cook. Now the cook did his thing. The food was great and hot when it came out. This place has a lot of potential, especially if they are appropriately staffed.

We ordered a variety of different items, all of which had huge portions and pickled veggies (not every plate, but a lot of them). I will say the chili oil could have been spicier (it was probably a mild or less on the chili oil scale). Also, there was an odd thing happening between the manager and some of the employees near the bar where we were sitting; it definitely made things a bit uncomfortable. She was looking for a lost receipt and it felt like a chaotic police investigation; she was asking questions aggressively to her staff, moving things around, running back and forth from the front to the bar. It was clear that the employees were not being positively impacted by her reaction to the lost receipt. That was a dapper on the experience.

We ordered the shrimp shumai, hot oil wontons, and crispy shrimp balls for our appetizers as well which were all very good. For entrees we ordered General Tso's chicken and Mongolian beef but the Mongolian beef came out tasting unusually sweet so we informed the waitress and she replaced it with a different entree the longhorn beef and peppers which was really good, a few minutes later the manager came to the table and asked about the Mongolian beef and let us know that she had them remake it, she brought it back out to the table and this time it was done perfectly with a good amount of spice and no sweetness we were also able to keep all three entrees which was cool and she took the Mongolian beef off of our check which we very much appreciated. Overall Teddy Wong's is highly recommended by this yelper and I must try for anyone that loves great food and service! We'll definitely be back!

If you've been wanting to try this place, I'd definitely recommend arriving early. Parking was probably the most challenging part of the visit. There was a rummage sale happening nearby, so the area was busier than usual. They do have a designated parking lot, but it's very small and fills up quickly. Most people will likely need to rely on street parking, which took a little patience that day. The restaurant itself is tiny, but that's part of the charm. There's a bar area that seats around 10 to 12 people and only a handful of tables. We were a party of three and were seated right away, but I could see larger groups having a harder time finding space together. The tables are also on the smaller side, so once the food starts arriving things can get a little crowded. That said, the food completely lived up to the hype. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chicken karaage was crispy and flavorful, the marinated ribeye was tender and packed with flavor, and my favorite dish of the night was easily the beef yakisoba. We each ordered a starter, three skewers, and a side that our server recommended, and every plate disappeared quickly. The atmosphere felt lively and busy, with Japanese figurines and decorations displayed throughout the restaurant. I overheard another guest mention that it reminded them of places they had visited in Japan, which made me appreciate the attention to detail even more. One thing to note - we were told they don't split bills, which wasn't a problem for our group, but it's something to know ahead of time if you're dining with friends.

The two downsides I experienced were the bar chairs and the chicken karaage. The chicken was dry on the outside without any sort of battering, which I had not experienced outside of diet naked tenders and certainly not anywhere I ate in Japan, but the quality of the chicken itself was good and highly juicy to the point where I burned myself on my first bite with a geyser of hot water. The bar seating was a nice touch but I found myself constantly sliding back in my chair and very low to the table. The sheer number of chairs packed into the bar was also authentic, as brushing elbows does indeed happen a lot in little shops like this, even if we are not used to it here. The yaki onigiri was absolutely amazing, crunchy and sweet, and the yakisoba was delicious with the rather interesting addition of mayo on the side. I wasn't sure I'd like it but it worked well. All in all, I'd definitely come by again to scratch the itch to not drop a grand on a trip lol
