Very cool atmosphere. Friendly staff. Liked the frozen whiskey coke. Definitely recommend.

The basement bar is easy to pass by walking down the strip. It's advertised as the worlds smallest honky tonk but it was not as small as it sounds. Basement bar has a great atmosphere with people just dancing, drinking and having a great time. The dollar bills lining the whole place is awesome and fun to just read what they all say. Friday and Saturday nights really shine here and is packed with people while Sunday nights has a dozen regulars watching bull riding on the TVs and drinking a shiner.

Look close or you'll miss the entrance; it is below street-level!

According to the dictionary, the term 'dive-bar' originally referenced disreputable places to drink. They were usually in a cellar or basement, so the inebriated denizens could dive out of sight - if unsympathetic callers arrived. Based on that; this is the perfect 'dive-bar' - right in the midst of the Ft. Worth Stockyards! Smaller and darker than the street-level bars, this was the perfect place for me to hide while my wife shopped on the touristy street! It sports a friendly and casual bartender, an adequate variety of liquor, and even features a bit of western flair. I liked the cave-like no-frills interior, and hope to return! Thumbs way up!

    Moldy rags

Heavy set blonde bartender is rude. Shoved her drink at me and my group and blamed us for her spilling liquor on us. Also there's moldy rags wrapped around pipes coming out of the ceiling. First time here not wasting my time coming back. This app won't let me give 0 stars either

Great little "dive bar" that is literally in a basement. They're on the corner of W Main and N Exchange. If you walk too fast you'll miss it. We were there in the early evening, so I don't know what the late night vibe is. Bartenders were friendly and welcoming and they pour a nice strong drink. There's a small dance floor and stage. (Not sure if they have live music), they do play country through a sound system. There are TVs that were streaming the football game. Great people watching witch is my favorite sport. While we were there it appeared to be 4:1 ratio of single women to men...if that helps. All in all an enjoyable time.

Lol got kicked out for sitting down because my feet hurt....(was sitting there for barely a song, mom and bday girl went to dance for neon moon, the guy lied and said I was there for 20 mins for a 3 min song) celebrating a birthday and would have spent a decent amount of money due to the celebration but they had to be d**ks ‍my future step father (family event) attempted to stand up for me. ladies do not where heels cause they will tell u to leave for no reason when they are a packed house. Tiny pp energy as guy had to bring someone else to tell us the news (after moving) that we had to leave because he was scared. We cooperated but it was the most bizarre thing. One drink was purchased after getting to the stockyards maybe 1hour prior(dinner was had prior and no drinks purchased) I work in the industry and this is actually ridiculous, maybe pay attention to folks who are actually breaking major rules/laws not a cutesy girl in foot pain and her step dad 8pm ish medium/tall height (I'm 5'8 in heels) skinny guy wearing staff shirt on a power trip (I think he was drunk as no normal employee should get that frazzled to politely ask a girl to move (especially when u are the only one sitting) Definitely minors in this bar so for 2 of age payu guests be asked to leave for sitting is crazy...I'm 24 and he is 48 lol. When we go out we spend a good amount as celebrating should be. Missed out on sales and tips. This was my 2nd time here and I probably won't be back as my 1st experience was not great due to environment being a under expectation (service/bad music).

Horrible service, even worse drinks. Do not bother wasting your money. I'd rather go out to eat in a cattle trough

Not worth the digital space to write an awful review. Management and bouncers are pathetic.

Bartenders steal credit card info. The facility won't answer their phone either. Bring cash or don't go.

Dim lights, worn wood, history in the walls, and live music filling the room like it's always belonged there. There's a small dance floor, just enough space to two-step without overthinking it, and that's exactly what we came for. This was our last stop of the night, meant to be a quick finish before heading elsewhere in the Stockyards. Funny how plans change. The music hit right, the energy was right, and this place delivered exactly what it promised. Before we knew it, last call rolled around and we were closing the place down. One of those nights where time slips by, boots are tired, and that old saying rings true -- you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. Classic, gritty, full of character, and absolutely worth ending the night at. If you're in the Stockyards and want a real Fort Worth experience, not something polished or pretend, this saloon is it.

The staff gave plenty of attention to regulars, but that same effort didn't extend to us "newbies." I'm not a bartender, but the difference in hand pours between locals and non-locals was noticeable. We sat at the bar so I could hear the orders being placed. We each had one drink and decided to leave. The lively atmosphere fits the Fort Worth vibe, and the bathrooms were fun with a classic western theme, which was a nice touch. Overall, this feels like a place best enjoyed if you're already part of the regular crowd -- otherwise, the experience is pretty underwhelming.

The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. The bar was clean and semi-busy. All drinks were pretty standard. Nothing extravagant or different. Please open your pool tables and dart board, it will double business and give your patrons more reasons to come out and play. Other guests were also complaining about the pool tables and dart board being unavailable. We would have stayed a lot longer if it was available. We would definitely return and highly suggest everyone to try this place. Especially if you are looking for a casual, no-nonsense bar. The music is good, but not too loud. You can still talk to the person next to you.

No greeting, no eye contact, just came off annoyed that we were even there. When we tried to order, she was already snapping at us and then started cussing at our group. It wasn't just us either, she was talking like that to other people around the bar too. It made the whole vibe uncomfortable. We tried to play pool and didn't realize she was holding the white cue ball. We moved the table a little thinking it was fine and she immediately shut it down and said we couldn't play at all instead of just explaining it. Felt like an overreaction. Then I asked for a bucket of beer and she said aggressively she'd give me six beers but not a bucket... for no real reason. At that point it just felt like she didn't want to serve us at all. Not sure what she has going on, but that kind of service is not it. Definitely not a good look for the bar. I wouldn't come back and I'd rather spend my money somewhere else
