I called GBP and asked if they worked on water heaters because mine was making odd noises The plumber came without tools and it took me about 3 minutes to realize he didn't have a clue He said we could start changing Pipes and dials but he didn't know if that would help After guessing a few more times I said since he didn't know what the problem was we would take more action I asked him to turn the temperature down and he said he would have to go to his truck to get a screw driver( I'm in a high rise) He finally came back, made a 2 minute adjustment and gave me a bill for $148. My hot water heater was making noises so I called GBP and asked if they worked on hot water heaters. They said they did and it would be a$48 service call plus labor. The young man who came listened to the noise and stared at the water heater for several minutes. I lost confidence in him after about 5 minutes and he finally admitted he had no clue.After looking at YouTube, I discovered there were several courses of action he could have taken. He made some suggestions but said he didn't know if they would do any good. Based on his lack of knowledge we decided to take no action. Before he left I asked him if he could turn the w h temp down and said he would have to go down to his truck to get a screw driver( we are in a high rise) I was surprised he would make a service call without tools. When he came back it took about 3 minutes to adjust the temp and 1 minute to give me a bill for $148 to be paid in cash or pay a service fee for using a credit card.(another service fee and $100 for a 2 minute turn of the screw driver. The plumber was very knowledgeable and pleasant an great attitude. He was very professional, and answered all our questions. He finished his project in a timely manner. He provided quotes on other future projects. He graciously added a small project, after he was done with his appointment. The price was acceptable and I got the additional project done. BEWARE!! These idiots tried to BLOW UP MY HOUSE by connecting the house gas line to a high pressure gas line WITH NO REGULATOR!! Thank God the Inspector caught it!! Then, when I put a hold on my check for final payment pending Inspection approval (after 3 more inspections), they threatened me for non-payment!! AVOID THESE JERKS !!! read more
