Color me surprised. Gave him the information on the leaking water heater, he told me to expect a call from the office manager regarding when they could fit me in. The phone was probably on the table for 10 minutes when I receive a all from the office manager and was told that they would fit me in probably after lunch. I received a call from Jordan that he was in route, at 11am. Jordan did a fantastic job installing the new water heater and explaining that the leaking one was installed backwards--cold into hot fitting and hot into the cold side. Jordan cleaned up the water on the floor and vacuumed the remaining water. He installed the water heater the correct way with all new fittings and was done with the job at 1pm.. Great job Jordan and the entire Hefner team!!! You have a customer for life.

My wife and I were considering adding a whole house surge protector to our Central FL house,…read moresimilar to what we had installed in our TX house. In doing some research, I found out Duke Energy installs whole house surge protectors, waiving the installation fee, but you pay a monthly fee of $10-$15. Whenever I can buy a device (like buying a modem vice paying monthly to an ISP to rent one), I would rather buy than rent. Another thing I learned is that most install a surge protector rated at 65kA or 80kA. While anything between 40kA and 80kA is sufficient protection, I opted for a 108kA device similar to what we had in TX. I called around for quotes. One guy quoted that he charges $40 an hour which is more than fair...but in speaking with him, I didn't get the feeling he's a master of his craft. He told me to research what I wanted instead of recommending what he has installed in previous jobs. Pass! Another electrician, used by our next door neighbor, who knew about the Eaton 108kA surge protector and its requirement for a 50A dual pole circuit breaker for installation, was charging $250. When I contacted Gallagher Electric, Andrea was responsive and provided a very competitive quote. They typically install 80kA surge protectors but I told them I prefer the Eaton 108kA surge protectors that I will purchase from Home Depot. We agreed on a price and they even provided the Square D 50A breaker as part of the installation. Installation was a breeze as Kary did quick and efficient work. I was even able to ask him additional questions about some electrical work I'm looking into doing myself. Great professional service from a small business at a good price!

This review is about Sunshine A/C near Leesburg. They installed my brand new unit. no problem…read more about a year and a couple months later it just quit. Called them. They came out in about 4 days. No a/c in Florida July heat is rough! The repairman fixed it easily. He stated...."a loose wire splice was not securely tightened when initially installed". Ok, but then the company charged me almost $100 to come out to fix their faulty work! I called and left a message regarding this, but NO ONE called me back. They would get the 5 stars, but not the way they handled this issue.
