Stayed in room 402. Clean but outdated. Beds are hard, cheap mattresses. I would stick with VRBO. At least with VRBO you typically have all the condiments you will need, and will be more modern. This place is not what it used to be. Don't waste your money on a beach view during the Summer time. You will only be able to see trucks jeeps and tents. read more

The room online and the room purchased was totally different, the pull out sofa is all peeled apart, missing 3 chairs at the bar area, chipped floors all throughout the kitchen, all art off the walls in the bedroom and living room, the sliding doors are missing multiple areas of paint, one of the doors in the kitchen is broken, no other rooms available and when addressed on FB I was blocked. read more

We booked a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo with balcony on the 6th floor. We called the day before arrival to confirm & was told that all confirmed. When we arrived on Tuesday, we were informed that the elevators were not working. We were told they hadn't been working since Friday. We are older & didn't want to climb up & down 6 flights of stairs for our 2 day stay. Asked for refund as we were not informed of elevator issue. Was told no that they can't give refunds. We asked for a ground floor condo & since it was mid week we were able to get a ground floor suite. We believe that we should have been informed when we confirmed reservations on the day before. (The previous year we booked a hotel on North Padre that had the same issue. But they called us two days before & happily gave us a refund.) Anyway we stayed as we were able to get a ground floor condo. The condo was extremely nice & the customer service was really good. We had 2 small issues in the condo & the minor problems were solved within 10 minutes by the friendly maintenance crew. This is a nice place to stay with a friendly staff on North Padre. We removed one star as we felt that we should have been notified of elevator issue. Nice condos on the beach for your family with swimming pool on site. Many restaurants & gift shops nearby too. My family comes here every year for a week. This is a great place to stay. The beach front condos on the first floor are bliss to stay in. The beach is a two-minute walk from the patio. Our particular room had an up-to-date kitchen with granite countertops and a stainless steel fridge and sink. The pool is spacious, and the deep end is 14 feet deep. The living room has a flat screen, and the beds have memory foam pillows. This is truly a luxury experience in Corpus Christi. They think of every amenity. Something I hope to see improved upon are the water pressure across the bathrooms in the condos, the availability of towels by the pool, and the customer service. The sink in our guest bathroom had very weak water pressure. The shower, on the other hand, is a dial that gives more pressure as it gets hotter. There's no way to have a luke-warm or cool shower with high pressure. The towel rack by the pool seems to run out of clean towels frequently. The ice machine on our fridge stopped making ice on the last day. We told the receptionist who said we could only get more ice by buying a pack from the ReddyIce machine. She didn't seem interested in getting the ice box in our freezer fixed. Most frustrating was an episode with the manager that I experienced. I noticed one day that my key card worked on my condo's door, but not for the gate to the beach. I tried my key a few times on that gate. It didn't work and someone else behind me opened it for me with their key. I told the manager about this. He didn't believe me and said that there's no way for my key card to not work on the beach gate. I talked to one of my roommates about this, and she said that she had the same problem with her key card (and with the manager not believing her). It was a minor inconvenience, but it shows a lot of arrogance on his part. read more

Spacious sized condos provide enough room for 6 adults to roam around without feeling cluttered. Pool area is very nice as well. Property is well-kept and landscaping has never seemed to be a problem here. My family has been coming here for years. This rental was everything and more than we imagined! Mark was accessible and accommodating our entire stay. We needed to extend a day with last minute notice and he made it happen for us. The beach is right outside the rooms and has wonderful views of the ocean and sunrises. It was super clean, bright, and inviting. It is spacious and the kitchen had everything but a toaster. Conveniently located to golf cart rentals, full size grocers, and excellent dining choices. Gas grills make it easy to grill. read more

I grew up staying at the Gulfstream Condos annually. I came in to inquire about a front gulf view room on July 20th with my accompanied service animal. She's a small 15 LB pug. Denise was very professional and gave me a brochure. I asked her about the service animal policy and she informed me that they are allowed with proof. I have a badge for my pug. Denise was courteous and I said thank you. As I was about to leave, CHRIS chimed in asking me if I was staying there and started asking me for my service animal proof. I do have a badge for her but forgot my wallet in my condo Nextdoor.(El Constante) As I was looking for the screen shot on my phone, Chris rudely told me my pug needed to stay in the room and not with me. I then explained I needed to have my service dog with me and then he rudely said, "Well then you need to stay in-doors with her." I won't be back to revisit the Gulfstream EVER again. I'll hold onto my family childhood memories when CHRIS wasn't working there. I also strongly believe he had a problem with me the moment he looked at me. I could see him staring me down with my peripheral vision and making jokes with another maintenance guy. The very lovely Denise exhibited true professionalism in response to my questions. The view was fantastic, We could wake up to the ocean view every morning and eat our meals with an ocean view. Our condo was on the fifth floor and was very nice. Pros: CLEAN of course i had to wipe everything down again but there was no dust or dirt anywhere. View was fantastic, just what I came for. Kitchen had satisfactory supply of utensils, dishes and appliances I am not a Keurig fan so we always take a "old" coffee pot with us. There were plenty of linens provided and all you had to do was ask for more if you needed Our door lock didn't always function correctly but maintenance was there in no time to install new locks and all was good All the employees greeted you when they saw you and all were wearing masks, which I appreciated (COVID) The condo location is easy to get too and there is adequate parking Carts were available to help us get our items to the room, which saved many trips. Cons: The mattress needs to be replaced Not only did it sink in the middle but every time you sat on the edge or rolled over it creaked-loudly. The kitchen stove is electric The elements did not sit level and it was hard to cook anything evenly We tried propping the skillet up on a cup but that didn't work well either The elements need to be replaced or buy heavier kitchen pans to weigh them down. Totally worth the money when you go thru the reg vacay struggles! Easy load carts and sprayer to rinse sand out of all your stuff in parking lot..large boardwalk to bike or walk, right on beach! My family I booked a room on the first floor that looked very nice and remodeled. We were looking forward to staying there since it was on the first floor and could walk out the back door straight to the beach without worrying about stairs or an elevator. A couple of weeks after we booked I got an email saying the whole first floor would be getting concrete work done and the room was no longer available. They automatically decided to put us in another room which was no where the condition of our original choice. We looked at other rooms but the nicer ones where on the 5th and 6th floors so that was a deal breaker. I asked to cancel our reservation and they decided they would keep my $20 booking fee. I don't think this is right since we were confirmed our room at booking. If I would have known prior that the first floor was going to be under construction we would not have booked the room therefore no need to cancel. So due to their incompetence I am out my $20 booking fee because they decided not to disclose that the 1st floor would be under construction during the time we would be there. I would like my $20 back. read more

Just came back from a wonderful vacation with family at Gulfstream Condos. It is truly a great place to stay for families with kids. It's all about the kids here. Our grandson had a blast here (7 yr. old) making pools friends etc. Everything you need is right here. Every room has a great view of the Gulf. We overlooked the sand dunes and partial view of the Gulf. You always get a great breeze coming off the Gulf so it never really felt very hot. I was anticipating horrible humidity. Being a desert rat from Arizona I have pretty good tolerance for heat. Living in Arizona summertime is like your body is in a 350 degree oven. The condo itself was a split bedroom so you did have privacy. We had a newer kitchen with all Stainless Steel Appliances. Lots of room to spread out. BBQ pits around the pool to cook if you wish. They are out of the way so it doesn't interfere with the pool activity. The kids stay in the pool until about 9.00 PM. They all just have a blast. I was totally impressed by this place. It's pretty old (probably from the 60's) but kept very clean. Good management company running the place. read more

Also after staying there 3 times I found out that property management charges a lot to the condo owners. I started booking the place from Airbnb. We really enjoyed staying at the condos. we booked two rooms and both were great. there was plenty of space and the rooms were kept extremely clean. you can literally walk out from the pool area out to the beach. the ONLY negative feedback i could come up with is that the furniture was a bit outdated in both of our rooms and that the free wifi did not get a very good signal - but neither of these were enough of a problem to stop us from booking again next time we go to corpus. read more

My family has vacationed at the Gulf Stream every year since my mom was little. Now I take my kids and it's still just as fun as it was 20-40 years ago. The rooms are cleaned daily, the condos are on the beach, the pool area is beautiful, and it's close enough to all the food, fun and shopping without all the crowd. There's also a hotel down the walkway with a bar and music so you don't have to worry about driving or loud music keeping you awake :) Just stop at a grocery store on your way and you will have everything you need for a fun and relaxing vacation. read more

We've had great experiences with The Gulfstream in the past, but this year has been a little different. We requested a low floor because a member of our party recently had hip surgery and is using a cane to walk. Instead, we got the highest floor possible. We also were not given the correct beds in our room. Also, last night we had 3 expensive coolers stolen from trucks in the parking lot with the thieves cutting the locks to get them. After we told the office and filed a police report, the office told us, "oh yeah, we've had a lot of stuff stolen lately." Just really disappointed this year. Hopefully the rest of the trip is better. read more

We've been coming to Gulfstream for years, probably 20 years or more and love it. I personally love the pool area! It's right on the beach so you don't have to do much more than step outside your door and you're on the water. There are grills and picnic tables in the pool area, plenty of chairs and chaise loungers to relax on, the hot tub is nice and big and there are laundry facilities as well. Our family books as many as 6 units when we come for a family reunion every October and the staff is always accommodating and friendly. Our group ranges from infants to seniors and everyone has a good time! read more
