Though the website list a "kitchen" in which to cook meals and all needed cooking instruments, our room had no stove or grilling utensils or pans to take our meals to use the grills. No places to hang bathing suits or towels. Again, for what we paid, we were a bit disappointed. Overall, we had a nice escape from the heat, humidity, and rat race of Houston. Certainly a much better experience than the negative reviews.

While sleeping, sheets looked clean until i started feeling the sand particles all around the bed, that means housekeeping does not clean out replaces the sheets and you are sleeping on sheet that is still mixed with dozens and possibly hundreds of prior guests, god knows who those would be old fart, dirty, sweat, saliva, piss, and cum who know what else. This place if a joke. Beach nearby you can walk is too crowded visitor from small town may be ok woth overcrowdness but there are plenty secluded beaches for those escaping concrete jungle nearby, with that therefore really adv. of being near beaches / easy access kinda disappears and i ended up driving to other beaches nerby.

For the price we paid $483 per night we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, upkeep, and functionality. I did send an email to management with pictures of rusted dirty air conditioning vent, mold/mildew in corners of the living area floors and walls, etc.. They did respond promptly "thank you for bringing to their attention" and they would have someone look into it. Which made me laugh...when you entire the unit a piece of paper states, who cleaned and who inspected. These were clearly visible and an inspector should have caught these. To add further frustration, I have 4xs tried to leave a review on their website on that particular unit. None of them will submit. They even sent me a link and that would not submit. The apartment was infested with cockroaches--so many that they were even crawling on the bunk bed where my child was sleeping. He developed a rash from the insects crawling on his legs. Management attempted to "treat" the unit, but never informed me that this meant we needed to vacate for four hours. Even after the treatment, the roaches remained everywhere. When I asked for another unit, they told me nothing was available. Instead, they offered only $50 toward a future stay, which is completely unacceptable given the circumstances. A place that cannot ensure basic cleanliness, safety, and transparency with guests should not be renting accommodations. I would strongly caution others against staying here.

The unit was pristine and amenities for an overnight stay were provided. The bed was super comfy and the living room seating very relaxing. The shower was a lovely temperature and water pressure. This company only manages a portion of this property as many are owned or long term rentals. It is an aging property with road repair and exterior updates on the horizon. But the short term rental I had was so relaxing, and manager Deana Lara was a consummate professional as well as warm and welcoming. I am very pleased with my stay!

I spoke to the manager of the property and it was taken care of rather quickly. Noticed while unpacking, the up stairs bedrooms were warm. Lower floor stayed cool. They provide pedestal fans to use in both bedrooms to help circulate the cool air coming from downstairs. The sliding doors were difficult to open, they were off track and need repair/replaced. First time I showered I noticed mold growing behind the caulking on the shower floor. We did notice one roach in the living room, it was in the process of dying as it was on its back shaking. The TV on the top floor did not have sound. Tried to get it to work, unsuccessful. Overall, the location was great and I met some real cool people while fishing. Stay was alright. I frequent North Padre several times each year. I will always return to the island but probably not to this unit again.
