It's a beautiful condo. Everything worked great. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the beach and everyone getting stuck in the sand was pretty entertaining. If I had to give advice, bring sleeping masks. You have beautiful views but lots of light comes through. Bring a fan. It gets stuffy. And bring basic cooking supplies if you plan on cooking. There are plenty of cooking items but no salt, pepper, or basic staples. Not a big deal, just to be aware. We'd absolutely go back! You cannot beat the location for ease to and from town. The pier and jetty are right outside your door. The beach does get very crowded here but we expected that and adjusted for our needs.

The room lacked any appeal. Decorations on the wall were hanging lopsided, bathroom door was damaged and very hard to shut. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It had a waterproof mattress cover that made horrible sounds anytime you moved on the bed and the sheets seemed to not fit properly and kept coming off. The noise around us from other guest was horrendous. The people above us made loud noises all through the night and even next day. The pool hours were to shut down at 10pm but that was not enforced. We heard children horse playing and screaming way into the morning hours. We ended up checking out 2 nights early. We called to speak with the manager as she was not available when we checked out - we were told to call back after 3:30PM that day. When we called and spoke with her she told us there was nothing she could do.

And the broken fridge smelled awful. Will never understand why they left the nonworking fridge in its place in the kitchen and thought sticking a fridge in the dining room was a good idea. Also both bedroom dressers had clothes in them when we came in. So gross. After all these years, I honestly don't know if I will be back. I expect more when paying $400 per night.

We and several family members stayed in a 3 BR 3 BA unit at Grand Caribbean. The experience you…read morehave in a condo is somewhat dependent on which specific unit you rent and who is managing that unit. Our unit was owned by someone in Austin, and managed by Sand Key Realty; there are several other units in the building under the same management. Grand Caribbean was damaged during Hurricane Harvey (August 2017), and some of the units are still being repaired...including the one we rented for 4 days in July 2021. The 3 bedroom condos (and likely the 2 bedroom ones) are spacious as vacation rentals go. All of the units have outdoor entries from the side facing the parking lot, and balconies or patios on the gulf side. Our first floor unit was exceptionally well equipped in the kitchen...making it obvious that the owners spent at fair amount of time there at one time or another. However, much about our rental was old and/or outdated, and the mattresses were obviously old and saggy...not to mention all the noise when one got in and out of bed. People who rent condos on vacation sometimes don't follow all the rules about noise and smoking, and our stay certainly brought out these concerns. We had fire alarms go off around 11 pm for 2 of the 4 nights we were there, and the folks staying above us sounded like they were running across the living room Saturday and Sunday. We really enjoyed the pool and proximity to the beach via a boardwalk...but our times at the pool were marred by smokers puffing away. We do not feel our stay was a good value, given what we paid per night, plus the high taxes and fees associated with renting through VRBO. Since the condos are owned by different people, rates and fees will vary. Do be careful in looking at these, as well as terms and conditions, before you rent.
