I attended a corporate event at Gull Meadow Farms where it was advertised that every guest would receive a free small pumpkin. My children were really excited for this, since it was supposed to be the highlight of the day. When we went to get them, the bins were already empty. No effort was made to refill them, even though we were at the very farm where the pumpkins were grown. Instead, staff only pointed people toward pumpkins for purchase, and the boxes for the free pumpkins were taken down well before the event was over. The event promised a free pumpkin for everyone, yet the farm clearly did not supply enough or make any attempt to ensure all guests received what was advertised. Families should not have to explain to their children why something guaranteed to every attendee was simply unavailable. If Landscape Forms paid for the pumpkin add on for the event, then they should be refunded because it was not fully honored. This was very disappointing and left a negative impression of the farm. read more

The supply ran out well before the event ended, and instead of making sure everyone got what was promised, the boxes were tore down and staff directed us to buy pumpkins instead when we asked about it. We did like the place except when we did rent a greenhouse for a party, they did not help with the fans as promised. Was super hot. They also had little help to make sure people didn't wonder in asking us to just use their sign so we had random people just walking in our greenhouse and picking up food asking how much. No joke. We had like 40 people do this in an hour or so. I also don't appreciate how they donate money but that's their business. read more

This place is pretty remarkable. The doughnuts are fantastic, and the market holds quite the array of country store items. There are also a ton of activity options, but they are quite expensive. The day pass is a good option for little kids, but the regular passes and season passes cost more than most similar places. Fun for the family if you want to pay the cost. read more

My boyfriend and I have gone to this family farm since we were children, as we now have our own children we decided to bring our son here for the first time to enjoy the nostalgia as we did, however when we arrived we mentioned we ONLY wanted to go to the petting zoo they agreed and we paid $15 and headed to the petting zoo and when we arrived there the workers told me the petting zoo was closed, so we paid $15 for absolutely nothing then walked over to the donut and cider mill and paid an additional amount for donuts. The fact of the matter is the farm is going downhill, the employees have a lack there of intelligence and common sense. We will not be coming back. No nostalgia to be found. So disappointed that a family farm could be so disorganized and greedy. read more

If you've never visited Gull Meadow Farms, what are you waiting for? ;-) This beautiful farm is clean, spacious, and packed with all sorts of activities suitable for kids of all ages and adults alike! I visited last year as well as this year and the experience, while a bit different due to Covid restrictions, was just as satisfying and I know my family will return again. (Side note: I personally believe Gull Meadows is doing a fantastic job adhering to Covid safety guidelines while not sacrificing a joyful guest experience) Make sure to check out the farm store while on site - there are diverse offerings to shop including a bakery, locally produced food and candles, toys, gifts and decor. The donuts are some of the freshest and softest around without any taste of mass production. The cider was also a family favorite - not overly sweet in comparison to other ciders we've sampled, but oh, so fresh! Likewise, make time to visit with the farm animals - there are many! But also don't miss out on all of the fun activities throughout the farm including a corn maze, jumping pillow, yard games, and so much more! There is also food available for purchase making it easy to spend a whole day exploring and enjoying the farm! Currently (fall 2017) one of the only U-Pick apple orchards in the area, this was our primary reason for coming by. We got I think a 1/2 peck of apples for $9.50, ended up being around 30 apples which is an awesome value. Unfortunately the weather greatly affects the crop each year, certainly not the farm's fault, but if you're picky about apples be sure to check the website/ facebook or call regarding what you can pick if it matters to you. You can also buy pre-picked apples sorted by variety in the store. They have a large store with all sorts of goodies including apples, decorations, jams/ jellies, candy, and baked goods. The donuts are not to be missed. Cake donuts are usually not my favorite but these were great and tasted extremely fresh. They also have a greenhouse and pumpkin patch, saw a lot of mums. The biggest draw seems to be all the fall fun kiddie activities. I didn't partake in this, but wow was it busy- on a Saturday in October with good weather, that's to be expected. But be aware if you're not a fan of crowds or mass amounts of wild children! I found it a bit overwhelming, but retreating to the orchard to pick our apples was more calm. The activities seemed a bit overpriced to me, but as I was not partaking I can't really vouch for that. read more

We got the wristbands and had lots of fun with all the activities that have appeared since our last visit. My daughter had a great time and we did pick apples and visited the pumpkin patch. Better late than never! I totally had to go to Gull Meadow Farms for some apple picking and donuts. Never have I ever had such a hard time picking food. Until it's apple picking season of course. There's such a great variety of apples to choose from. The experience and thee delicious fruit is well worth the time and money. It's just something about picking it yourself that makes the apples taste sweeter. When you're all apples out check out the indoor store and pick up some donuts or other goodies. Even though the season has changed and it's colder. An icy wonderland it becomes and there's even a chance to meet Santa, princesses, superheroes, and much more. Shame on you, Gull Meadow Farms! You advertised that your Christmas light display followed restrictions mandated by The Health Department, your signs and advertising stated masks were required, you gladly collected $8/person BUT you allowed guests to not wear masks while inside the greenhouses. My family visited your Holiday Lights Display this evening only to discover after entry that approximately 50% of visitors were MASKLESS! When I asked an employee about enforcement of your published policy, I was told only the manager could enforce it. Well, where was the manager??!!!! How irresponsible to collect money yet not have staff to enforce health mandates. I guess it's all about making money but not working to protect your customers. I am writing this 5-star review as a culmination of years of Gull Meadows experiences. I think this particular year (2014) has turned out to be a bit of a bust for U-Pick apples, but on the whole this place is exactly what you are looking for to fill a fall weekend afternoon. Wear your scrubby shoes, go out with some friends and pick some apples. They often have a bunch of different varieties, and many you rarely see on store shelves. Not sure what a Jonamac tastes like? Don't tell them I said this, but maybe an apple *accidentally* finds it's way onto the ground. Well you can't let bruised produce just go to waste, can you? Maybe just one...Anyway, if you find a variety you like, go out and buy a peck and support your area farmers. I don't want to reiterate too much of other reviews, but suffice to say that G.M.F. is a must-visit for families in the area, and lovers of local/seasonal produce. **I should note that they also have an active greenhouse selling a lot of great flowers during the summer months** The atmosphere of Gull Meadows conjures up everything I can't get enough of in Michigan in the fall. My friends and I make it a point to plan an outing to Gull Meadow Farms each year. This is a fantastic fall destination for families or friends. Many of the activities are aimed at children, but there are plenty of things for adults to do as well. The store has a selection of autumnal goods such as gourds, apples and Halloween decorations. The donuts which are made on site are fantastic. Enjoy outdoor activities such as apple picking, wagon rides and a giant corn maze. Expensive as all heck for what you get. I'm from Canada originally and use to a petting zoo, maze and play items not costing extra. I was completely shocked to pay almost $9.00 a person for the activities. Seems like a total rip off for a family of 4 with 1 teen, 2 adults and a 7 year old to cost almost $40 for activities most of of us didn't do. Went here to pick out pumpkins for the kids. Almost all of them had terrible shapes and looked like they were tangled in the vines when growing. At .39 cents a pound they are a little pricy for bad pumpkins. Went to the greenhouse for cider and doughnuts. Always a good thing this time of year. Full Meadows has changed dramatically since the first time I visited some years ago. They have since added a big slide, an inclosed area filled with several big games stations like Janga, and have included more kids games in the kids area, they have still kept the little farm, and expanded their inside farm purchase area. The barn now offers stations to had pick apples if people didn't want to go apple picking on the orchard. Their bakery also offers a variety of bakes but there's always a line, worth it though. If you chose to go apple picking you can walk or you get a ride on the tractor. The tractor picks people up at the entrance and has several stops. The apple picking, the corn maze, the slide, the adult game area (jenga area), and the entrence again. Most of these items are included in the purchase of the bracket at the entrance. You do need to buy a bag from them for the apples you decide to pick. Overall fun experience and several things to do besides just picking apples. read more

Been here twice and still not impressed with cost and activities. They charge by height not age. Even though geared for kids charge same price for everyone. To me the pricing could be worked differently. As adults we are supervising them while they ride the rides and play. Yet getting charged same price. read more

You have not lived until you've had a fresh iced pumpkin donut from Gull Meadow Farms. They are crispy on the outside, but moist and fluffy on the inside. Fabulous! A lot of people have slammed Gull Meadows for not making their own cider, but they cider that they do sell is the best in Michigan and if you love cider, you WILL appreciate it. They have an adorable little petting zoo with all sorts of farm animals. Don't expect something you'd see at a zoo because this isn't a zoo. What this is is a fabulous opportunity for the entire family to get out of the house and away from the tv and enjoy the outdoors. read more

We visited this evening (around 5:30pm) and it was lovely!! The perfect little family Christmas excursion especially now with COVID restrictions. There were several greenhouses to walk through each with their own theme. Kids loved the hot chocolate and the goats too!! I was hesitant at first to visit after reading a previous review about people not wearing masks but everyone was very distanced. Also every single person was wearing a mask even outside! I felt very safe the entire time and would love to go back again sometime in the summer or fall. I had messaged the owner prior to visiting and they were very reassuring about following precautions and wanted to make sure we had a pleasant experience. I stopped by Gull Meadow in the hopes of doing some fruit/vege picking after meeting some friends in Kzoo. I am sad to say that I was very disappointed by my visit. When we arrived, we were excited by the outside decor, but the inside was thread bear. We may have caught them on a transition day, but the selection was nonexistent. There were a few bags of apples, some crafty goods and that was was about it. When we were leaving we saw a girl shucking some fresh corn and we got excited again, but were told that they were for another employee's private use. Why would you have a barrel of corn in a market, if you weren't going to put them up for sale? In looking at the pictures, it looks like we caught them on an off day, but after this first impression, I see no reason to make the effort to try this place again. read more

One of the better pumpkin farms I've been to. Its very big and so much you can do. There's fresh donuts and cider and baked goods, a decent size merchandise store, apple cannons to shoot apples at targets, a pumpkin cannon to watch them shoot pumpkins at a target, petting zoo, corn hole, a giant slide, a jump area for the kids, many picture opportunities, hay ride, and lots of parking. Definitely recommend taking the family here. The kiddos will love it and have fun. read more

When I asked to try a cup, I was told by the sales associate that they don't give out samples but that they have had people so angry that they have asked to speak to the manager and they were thinking of changing it. VERY RUDE!!!! SHAME ON YOU GULL MEADOW FARM!!! I waited in line in their store to purchase wristbands for my two kids. I said to the cashier, I will have 2 wristbands please. At no time did the employee mention that I also needed a wristband. so I assumed I could just go inside the gated area and supervise my children as long as I wasn't jumping on their bouncy thing or playing with the ducky water races. Also there's no signage that I saw that indicates that either. I walked all the way out to the "back forty" with my kids and was stopped and told that I couldn't come in. What am I going to do, just let my kids go in and play by themselves unsupervised? So I just walked in! I told her I promise I'm not planning on sliding on the giant slide lol so here comes the tough security guard riding on a Gator to kick out a mom and her two kids (he should have walked out to the "back forty", he would have benefited from the exercise, if you know what I mean!) He said if I didn't like their policy I could open my own business and run it how ever I want! Real classy, Gull Meadow Farms! I told him that I'd have to get my money back because my kids can't play by themselves unsupervised and I asked him to give me a ride back to the store which is a long walk and he said "I'm not giving you a ride back!" Again, real classy, Gull Meadow Farms! I wonder if the owner trains their employees to treat their customers this way? I get the feeling it's all about money anyways. Plan on dropping a lot of money if you take your kids there. Between all the wristbands for parents and kids and pumpkins that are about $15 a piece and the cider and the donuts, and the kids attractions that cost extra, like the Apple Cannon. Bring about $100. There's other nicer apple orchards in town that treat their customers better. I would recommend Verhage Apple Orchard in Mattawan. We will be going there from now on. read more
