I've tried every flavor they offer, and my two favorites are easily the Buffalo and the Apple Bourbon. The Buffalo has an incredible buffalo flavor without being overly spicy, making it easy to enjoy even if you don't love heat. The Apple Bourbon is the complete opposite in the best way, bringing a subtle sweetness that makes for a great change of pace. The wings are always cooked to perfection with crispy skin and juicy meat, and they have a texture that I just can't seem to replicate at home. They're on the pricier side, but they're absolutely worth it. I've also tried both the Pepperoni Pizza and The Delicious, and both are outstanding. Sometimes a simple pepperoni pizza tells you everything you need to know about a pizza place, and Pappo's nails it. The homemade sauce, quality cheese, perfectly cooked crust, and seasoning all come together to make an exceptional pizza. The Delicious is exactly that, delicious. It's the pie contest winner for a reason. The combination of pesto sauce, shredded mozzarella, provolone, blackened chicken, caramelized onions, and fresh minced garlic creates one of the most flavorful pizzas I've had. Every ingredient tastes fresh, and you can really tell they don't cut corners on quality. I also have to mention the cookies because they are genuinely some of the best I've ever had. The fact that they're made with brown butter immediately sets them apart from your average chocolate chip cookie. They have the perfect outer structure, but the second you bite into one, the warm chocolate just oozes out. The brown butter adds a rich, nutty depth of flavor, and they're finished with just the right amount of flaky sea salt to balance the sweetness. Every bite is a literal party in your mouth. If you leave Pappo's without getting a cookie, you're seriously missing out. While Pappo's is definitely on the pricier side (which is why its 4 and not 5 stars), though I've never once left feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. The consistency, quality, service, and atmosphere keep me coming back, and it's easily one of my favorite pizza spots around.

We also ordered garlic bread. The garlic bread came out first and it was all right. It was soft which is important to me but it could have had a little more cheese or garlic on it. The Masterpiece was delicious. Pizza doesn't love me as much as I use to love pizza. But I had no trouble throwing down 4 slices with the sweet taste of extra sauce that I asked for. Definitely nostalgic and definitely great pizza and somewhere you should go in Columbia.

Kicker is they weren't that busy as there was zero foot traffic for the last 15 minutes of that half hour and only 5 walk-in orders total in the full 30 minutes. We all used to enjoy MOD and were shocked to hear of the locations closing. Now, I hope the rest of them shutdown before they go from a fond memory to a good riddance for every former fan.

If you want pizza fast, hot, and delicious, then you're hitting up the right place. I've eaten at Gumby's for years, both in store and delivery, and I've yet to be disappointed. They deliver as fast, if not faster, than other restaurants during the late nights on Friday and Saturday, and the staff has always been extremely helpful and kind, even during the rush hours! In store has an excellent bar with cheap prices, and a relaxed atmosphere with a jukebox and pool table. Food never takes more than 20 minutes when you order in store, and the only time I've had pizza delivery show up any later than 45 minutes was during the busy late night rushes (from 1am-3am), when I had been warned that the wait time was 45-hour. Gumby's is a tradition with some people in town, especially college students, and it's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place that doesn't get enough recognition. Get some pizza in your pie hole. Especially the Uncle Jesse. It's the best. read more

Gumby's has the best gluten free pizza in town. Good crust, flavorful toppings. Shakespeare's crust is pretty good but their toppings are totally bland....Pizza Tree has amazing toppings but the gluten free crust has been hit and miss. Gumby's is the best of both worlds - they have tasty toppings (slightly less creative than Pizza Tree but 4.5 stars for excellent execution!) and yummy crust every time. I'm surprised that they don't have better reviews on here. My only complaint is that Gumby's could work on their delivery/carryout system. When you order in, it's perfect, but if you order ahead of time or have it delivered, they don't do a good job of keeping the pizza hot. read more
