These reviews had me extremely skeptical to purchase a vehicle from this dealership and honestly, I'm glad I took a chance. Blake McGhee is THE BEST EVER! He absolutely went above and beyond to ensure that we had what we needed, including ensuring that 4 tires were replaced and the scuffs were buffed out, shout out to the service department who has a bad rap here. I am an out of state buyer and had some major issues and delays shipping the car and Blake served as a liaison even after the sale was complete. I couldn't have managed without him. We got the car home and it was better than the photos and paperwork could have described. It's like we got a new vehicle. Made multiple unnecessary repairs including replacing the transmission when the only thing that needed to be done was a new catalytic converter. Will never return Previous visit they told me I needed a bunch of work to be done on the vehicle including flushing of the transmission fluid. I asked why, they couldn't give me an answer. I asked to talk to the mechanic because I had the transmission fluid changed just six weeks earlier. When I told him this the advised "the mechanic thought it would be a good idea". They don't care how hard people have to work for their money, their greed/rip-offs are all that matter. read more

I am amazed by the attitude and inability to accommodate repairs for poorly performed repairs. I had my car towed in here and repaired. Paid for routine servicing at the same time. The Audi warranty covered very little and the work performed didn't last as the car started leaking oil again within two months. I've had other dealers do a wonderful job but this place doesn't care about quality or customers. Audi USA should shut them down if they are incapable to perform basic repairs. read more

First with the positive. When I bought my car here last year,everything went well. They looked up the accident history on Carfax,and everyone in the finance department was very helpful in finding a good loan plan for me. Considering my vehicle is 8 years old,and had over 100,000 miles on it when I bought it,it has performed quite well. Now for the negative. Somewhere along the way,communication is sorely lacking among the staff,or someone somewhere is messing up in the scheduling department. Several times,my appointments have been cancelled or changed at the last minute because they underestimated how long the work would take,or my part didn't arrive(which I have been waiting 8 months for!)But the last straw came this last week,when my appointment was changed to this week because they closed early that day(which I have doubts about)Then today I get there,and the sales rep looks at the mileage sticker and tells me the synthetic oil needs changed only at 7500 miles,and to call him directly to make my next appointment,and sends me on my not so merry way. I always have gotten it changed at 5000 miles,so someone royally messed up in the scheduling department,or someone else doesn't want me there anymore(why I don't know-I'm anything but a problematic customer!) I had a terrible experience shopping with Gurly Leep. The sales guy was great, but the finance guy was pushy and didn't want to explain anything or talk about options. When we decided to change our loan provider he "couldn't find" our paperwork and it turned turned put he just hadn't finished it. He lied at first to cover.his tracks. Also, we sold our old car to Gurly Leep for a few hundred and they didn't bother transferring the title to the new owner. When the car was impounded in Chicago WE got a notice that we had to pay a fine or go to court. It was straightened out in the end, but the whole experience has ensured we'll never shop there again. read more

Most of the staff was rude and It doesn't seem like anyone here likes their job outside of the nice finance lady. We purchased a new car from here, was told the time frame was a week out which ended up being two months. We had to ask out sales guy countless times what was going on after placing a deposit on the car. Sometimes we'd never here back until we asked again. We definitely felt like a burden. Anyways, the VW finally arrived and the paint was damaged from shipping. Which isn't the dealerships fault but the process of repair is another story in itself. I bought a new Audi last week and had a terrible experience after my check was handed over. My salesman Mr. Omar was great but the rest of the employees were lazy, racist, sexist and rude. My new car, off the lot, was handed over to me without the proper washing and prep. No one to do it. My front license plate couldn't be attached, no one to do it. i returned 2 days later and still, no service, ignored at every turn. after an hour and a half of waiting, I decided to leave only to see a warning light on the dash. I asked my salesman about it. After another 20 minutes of no one knowing what to do I went to the service department where a service advisor named Jason said they couldn't look at it, an appt was available in 2 weeks. I asked for the name of the service manager and he told me he didnt know it, then said his first name, then finally called him. He attempted to ignore me but I persisted. The manager wouldn't even respond to my salesman, ignored him. After I finally convinced him to scan the car he said it was the sensors, nothing wrong. when I got home, I read the manual and learned that my air bags were OFF, that's why the sensors were warning me. this is a long review but seriously, go somewhere else and NEVER consider their service department. read more

Went here for a simple routine check and an oil change, took 2 days and when I got it back later that night my oil was leaking. Tried our best to fix it and it eventually all leaked out. Bought a new plug tried again it ALL leaked out overnight bc Gurley leep damaged my oil pan by screwing my plug in too tight. They don't know what they're doing, and their customer service acted like this happens often, didn't receive an apology or even a 'we'll fix it as soon as we can' he literally just said "idk. How can I place no stars on a place that needs some serious help in regards to treating a customer right. There should be a way to place negative stars for this disappointing service. I purchased my first Mercedes Benz here and had nothing but problems since. Even before the purchase they could not even make sure the right VIN number was put on the contract. Now I'm dealing with them placing two debts on my credit for their mistake and it hit my credit hard. Also just has serious paint issues I brought up to them and it is like fighting for my right to have a sprinter that I purchased to look as it should when buying a new vehicle. I could go on forever but I won't ever recommend this unprofessional dealership to anyone. Definitely check out BBB they have an "F" rating because they neglect to fix issues at hand. read more

I had had a terrible experience with a dismissive, argumentative salesman at another Audi dealership where I bought my old Audi. Was not looking forward to buying a new car. But Jordan was professional, fun, easy to deal with, and helpful, esp. with all the new technology. I wanted to order a Mercedes G-Wagon for my wife. I asked if there was a premium over sticker price. I asked three times, and was assured there was not. I have the texts to prove it. We put together our order and sent it over. The next I here from the sales guy is the manager has decided that they should get $10,000 over sticker. Mind you, this is a vehicle the dealer doesn't get as a stock car from Mercedes. So without this order, there's nothing to sell. I was shocked. I came back later in a conciliatory move and offered $2,500 over. I was told $5,000 over was the minimum he would accept. So for $2,500 dollars the dealer didn't sell a $171,000 car + $2,500 bonus. And won't get it. And lied to a customer. I expected more from a Mercedes Benz dealer. read more

We just completed a purchase of a new Audi Q5. We traded in a SUV with the purchase of our new Audi. I then thought our old SUV might be of interest to our Son. I contacted Gurley Leap multiple times and they always said they would call us back, but they never did. After three days I finally got in touch with Mark the manager. He gave a price on our trade in SUV that I thought was very fair. I told him my son would contact them the next day to purchase our old SUV. He did and they told him it had sold. I then contacted the manager working 7/31 and he told me, "we our not in the business of holding cars but selling cars!" Who treats a customer this way, I guess integrity and ethics is not part of Gurley Leap's business plan. If they our interested in selling cars they failed to have the insight to understand they just lost all future cars sells to our extended family. read more

I did a sale of a vehicle and I was supposed to get paid over $48,000 for the sale of the vehicle. I have been waiting over two months for my payment. I keep getting the runaround. The finance manager tells me that the title clerk is handling it, the title clerk says the financing department is handling it, the title administrator does not return phone calls. No one takes responsibility for anything and how am I supposed to get my money for a valid sale? Worst customer service ever! I'm going to have to file a lawsuit or go to the district attorney's office. Don't sell your vehicle (or buy one from them). read more

Where do I start this review. My wife and I purchased a 2018 Volkswagen GTI. The day we purchased this vehicle a new salesman was instructed to remove bird poop from the hood. He proceeded to use something so abrasive with such force that he scratched the hood so deep their service department couldn't buff it out! That was day one. After several days of having my new GTI home I decided to wash and wax it. It was then I discovered all these strange spots all over the car. It looked like water spots but they wouldn't come off no matter what I did. I called sales supervisor Mike and my saleswoman and explained this to them. I brought the car the next day and showed them. They made me an appointment with their body shop to have the car buffed. And buff it they did! Swirl marks galore! I was concerned about the clear coat before they even attempted any buffing. I knew they'd have to be very aggressive to remove whatever was on this car. I'm not sure if it's concrete dust from the renovations they are doing or if they have an incompetent porter. So now I have a 2 week old $33000 car with deep swirl marks all over it. I'm paying Zeibart try to fix the finish so I hopefully can enjoy my new car finally. I called the dealership one last time. I neve received a return call. I can't recommend this dealer or any Gurley Leep dealership after this terrible experience. read more

Worst place to buy a car but a Mercedes' benz C class and it was supposed to be certified and it wasn't biggest scam in the area stay away.

Made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation for 9:15 am. When I scheduled online, the website said that I could not wait there. I had to take an Uber somewhere or have someone pick me up. I live an hour away in Warsaw. I decided to go across the street to Rise N'Roll to wait for my car. When I arrived, an unfriendly woman with glasses and reddish blond hair told me that I had a drop off appointment and that my car would be ready early afternoon. I said I wasn't going to walk up and down Grape Road for hours waiting for my car. She said I could reschedule and choose a wait appointment. I told her to cancel my appointment. She said, "Ok, you can back up." This is the 3rd time going there and this is the first time I was made aware that they had wait vs. drop off appointments and when you choose drop off, they work you in between the wait customers despite having a specific appointment time. If they were interested in my business, after she explained the appointment system, she would say, "In the future, look for a wait appointment but we will try to get your car done as soon as we can." Again, I had to drive and hour each way to get to this dealership. I believe strongly in going to a VW dealership for my VW care. As I write this, I am sitting and waiting for my car at Team VW in Merriville. It is an added 30 min each way but I have always been treated well here. Also, will add, I have had problems getting into Vorderman in Fort Wayne which is an hour away as well. Appointment are hard to get unless you plan to schedule far into the future. read more

Was visiting in the Mishawaka area -needed a windshield wiper but decided to get an oil change too. They told me of three serious repairs that needed to be performed immediately. Kinda freaked me out (surprise) -so, I chose to do the one that sounded most critical (having to do with the brakes), then waited until I got back to my regular car-fix-it-guy in Chicago. CUSTOMERS ARE NOT A PRIORITY. I scheduled an appointment for my VW's battery issues and brought my car in at 9am and Ryan, my contact, promised to call me and update me. He never did. I called at the end of the day and they had "just started working on it." They kept it overnight and promised to call the next day to update me. They never did. I called at the end of the second day and they had not figured out the issue, but they told me that they noticed the windshield wiper fluid was leaking (it took these guys 2 DAYS to notice that). I expressed my frustration from their lack of communication, keeping my car for 2 nights with no loaner provided, and for not making my car a priority. The next day they quickly found the issue and fixed it. But when I arrived to pick up my car, it wasn't ready and needed a car wash. I patiently waited in their lobby for over 30 minutes and NOBODY came to tell me when the car was ready. My husband and I purchased our 2017 Yukon XL almost 2 years ago. From Gurley leep. Ever since purchasing our vehicle we've had nothing but issues. Within the first 3 months of having this new vehicle the brake blower went out. Causing dangerous breaking situations with with my young daughter in the car constantly. After not one but two visits to the service department they were able to finally figure out what was wrong. But I had to take it to a different location for them to properly fix it. A couple months later my park assist stopped working due to a dysfunctional sensor. Fast forward to having my truck a year and a half we took the vehicle in to voice our concerns about the transmission. And how the vehicle was shifting hard. Once again it took multiple times being brought to the service center for them to tell us that it was in fact the transmission. Each time we've taken this vehicle to said service centers at Gurley leep to have things looked at due to our warranty. We've had to pay a $75+ service fee over and over. I haven't even had this vehicle back a month and now my ABS light is on, my traction control light is on, my park assist is no longer working, and my service trailer brake system light is on as well. When we purchase this vehicle it was only 2 years old and has had routine maintenance but has caused us nothing but problems and we poured endless hours and money into it. This truck has literally spent more hours at the service center than on the road with me driving it. read more
