They had beer logos next to each door which I assumed were men and women beer icons according to manager's design. Went in used it, had to go a second time cause I thought I left my wallet in there. The manager or whoever that guy was in the cap and glasses in his forties or something, gave me the business about how I couldn't go in there cause it was a private bathroom (even though the door wasn't locked). I got interrogated as to how I knew the bathroom was there, him whining and bitching like a skiddish little girl ready to stab me in the neck, and before I could answer anything he ended the conversation with "you can't go in there." Watch out for this guy, don't know if he's the manager or temp help but they need to fire him soon before he drives all the customers away with being too nosy and asking people if they need help too much even though they are just browsing trying to select a good quality liqour. Don't go there unless you want to get bitched at by some guy diva for who knows what. It was obviously his fault for not locking the door and having beer icons for men and women (supposedly), or just put a "private" sign on the damn door instead of blamming me for his own incompetence of not seeing me go in their the first time and stopping me accordingly. What a skiddish little meth head.

They have a good selection of the basic beer, wine and liquor selections that your friends will demand. I even found Hendricks gin, so they have a wide enough variety for most tastes. The staff is friendly, but fairly spotty in experience when it comes to recommendations. Overall, a stable liquor store to find what you need--especially if you need to do a grocery run at Publix next door.

What I love most about ABC is the availability and selection of products....not to mention the fair prices. I swear ABC has everything....ok maybe not "everything" but most of what you need/want in the "beer, wine and spirits" department. The store is always neat, clean and well stocked. The employees are friendly, helpful and down to earth. I also love that you are able to order and have items delivered through "Shipt" and they have an express option for same day pickup on online orders. ABC makes shopping convenient and this is great if shopping in bulk. TIP: ABC has a new rewards program. Sign up on the website. This is a very dangerous place…read more Not literally a dangerous place. You won't die there. Well, maybe if you get a shock after seeing your wallet. This place is dangerous for your wallet because there are way too many pretty things to buy! I've gone there twice now. On my first visit, I spent hours in there with my friend and neighbor. We were nearly there until closing time on a Sunday. We left with bags of food, alcohol, and with memberships that we signed up for with cashier Lucy's help. The second time I went, I mainly went to buy a gift card for the same friend and neighbor who accompanied me before as it was her birthday. I brought a companion, and well, we also wound up buying more food and alcohol. Admittedly this store has more than that, having furniture and what not, but the food and alcohol are what gets you. There is so much variety. You will find obscure products here, like Vegemite for the Aussies or more common stuff like different flavors of pocky for those loving Asian goodies. Heck, I found madeleines imported from France, which I repeatedly get told aren't dry like the American ones, and after having them, I must concur. You don't know what you're missing until you have it. That said, I'm shocked it took me so long to go to this place. A girlfriend of mine recommended this chain to me years ago, and well, I only recently went, and since then have been asking - where have you been all my life? Shame on me for taking forever to go!

I'm coming to the defense of Mike's Beer Barn, the venerable W. Tennessee St. landmark/institution…read morewhich has an appallingly low review count (4, prior to mine) with an outrageous 2-star average to boot. The one-star review, incidentally, was strictly due to an inexperienced clerk failing a diacritics/sentence structure exam dispensed by an apparent frequenter of the islands who took offense to the mispronunciation of "Curaçao". Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury - I move for a mistrial! The fact is that Mikes Beer Barn is to bacchanalia as Gumby's is to gourmandism. I gave Gumby's four rightfully deserved stars and now confer similar stars to the Barn. First off, a history lesson on Beer Barns. Generally, these "package store" oddities are found in rural regions of Michigan, Ohio and Texas. I'm not entirely sure the history of Mike's, but I DO know it's where I bought my first full keg in October 1987, and it had been open a good while prior to then. (It was Killian's Red, BTW). There are surely plenty of kegs and pony kegs to choose from here, in addition to liquor. I stopped by to fill up today (we were on fumes) and I popped my head in. Ctge liquor is what you'd expect so close to a large student population - it's no Market Square Liquors, nor does it purport to be. Don't count on a variety of Calvados nor a bottle of Fernet Branca. Do count on flavored vodkas, southern comfort and the like. Mike's is an integral part of two generations of FSU graduates, at least. It deserves a place in the landmark lineup! Lastly - why is Mike's not getting five stars in class (the class, naturally, being "Barn-type outlets)? - because it absolutely FLEECES you when you're seeking to purchase gas. by "Fleecing" I mean charging $2.99 per gallon when the in-town average is around $2.20 for the low octane. That is outrageous, but Mike's is doing nothing illegal. the price is posted clear as day on the pumps. Perhaps it's because this location generally prompts drivers to pay inside with an ashtray full of nickels, dimes, pennies and the occasional quarter. As such, I've labeled this "ultra-high-end" in the Price Range questionnaire section.
