8 oz. coffee and Breakfast au Gratin
Alan M.

The food tasted good, but was cooked or reheated unevenly. The coffee tastes great, it's not too potent with caffeine like some Starbucks. Breakfast is an odd time for this place because they are a bar. If I came back, I'd just get the bagel w/cream cheese and a coffee. Mine was decent for $10, but I'd rather save $6. The coffee though is great for $2. I've been here for a beer before. It's like $8 for a 12oz IPA, and it's a great space for friends to converse. Definitely competing with places like The brass tap. This location is great, North Tally is nice.

Good spot to study and catch up with friends! Would come again. Wifi connection is really stable. The pastries are good, would suggest the chocolate croissant over the butter croissant. Locally crafted drinks and delectable coffee selections for the morning. Definitely a hidden gem for study dates with friends!

Passed by one night while in town to celebrate a couple of things with some drinks. I am the non-beer drinker of us two, so of course I asked the bartender for a suggestion given my preferences. Opted to try their Crispr Knockout and it indeed knocked it out of the park. I was quite pleased with this drink. It was dry but not overly so. It ran smooth, quenched my thirst, and most of all, considering the weather, it kept me warm. Tallahassee is ridiculously cold this time of year! He decided to join me with the same drink and so we cheered and enjoyed our evening. He also told me that apparently they also serve coffee in the morning, and a very obvious sign behind me confirmed it. I probably would have tried their coffee one morning as this was within walking distance of where I stayed, but I simply didn't have the time. Maybe next time?

Yes they have spirits too!

Ology was the last official stop on my recent brewery tour de Florida, and it did not disappoint. This small taproom was everything you could want in a beer joint. They had a few basics on the menu (I loved the vienna lager!) as well as some more out-of-the-box varieties - like the green berlinner weisse I finished the evening with. It was DELISH. The taproom has a cozy vibe, with a slightly-science twist in the decor (thus the "ology"). They also had an impressive selection of house-distilled spirits, and cool schwag too!

Indescribably Delicious - half pour because it's 11%!

We had some Ology beers last year at the Tampa Bay Beer Fest last year riiiiight before Covid hit so knew of this brewery along with other Tallahassee breweries. They are what inspired the trip even. Ology has two locations in Tallahassee and there are some slight differences between the two and what they offer. The Midtown location offers their Sour Cellar beers which are bottled beers that process differently than the rest. The other location offers slushies. They both get the same beers but depending on demand may not have the same on tap at the same time. We were told that they are opening a 3rd location soon and that the goal is to have each location offer something a little different from the others. They had 13 options to choose from the tap and several canned options in 4 packs with some that were also offered as singles. I do have say, their beer prices were high. One of the single cans to go was $7.50 alone and without trying it first, we just can't justify it. It may be worth it but it very well may not be. There is nothing worse than buying a beer or a 4 pack of unknown beer on the pricey side it is not being good and disliking it to the point of pouring it out. Unfortunately, that has happened.

The guy behind the bar was super nice! Gave us some great recommendations based on what our preferences are but let us have a small sample beforehand. He took the time to describe each sample, helping us to decide on the perfect brew. The space is small yet perfect for their business. Love the wine/whiskey barrel tables.

Couple of beers from Ology.

Good beers and good atmosphere! What more do you need in a craft brewery? We visit Tally pretty frequently, and we will probably return to Ology... and Proof and Deep :)

Me and 3 friends went here last night and it was great. We told the bar tender what kind of beers we like and dislike and then he recommended things for us. And all the recommendations where great. The inside is very cute and trendy, probably not good for a group larger than 4. It is open so the temperature is similar to outside temperature but it adds to the atmosphere. While we were there on Friday night there was a food truck outside which we ordered from. I had the pork sandwich which was great as well as the key lime pie which was even better. Only thing that would make this better is another group brought a game with them and we were jealous we hadn't done the same.

I'm close to the front of the line for the Dynamic Fermentum.

Nice little brewery bar that got my attention with their Dynamic Fermentum release party. I have been a fan of "sours" since I tried my first last spring in Colorado. The interior is simple with a bar with stools on the left when you go in and a few comfortable tables and two person keg tables on the right. A very relaxing setup for quaffing a few beers with friends. For my visit there was the added bonus that they were currently featuring an elderberry, raspberry and blood orange sour on tap that was just plain delicious and refreshing. I can foresee dropping in for a little taste in the future.

Amazing beer and friendly staff. The atmosphere is really calming. I would recommend going there after a long day at work to relax. They just opened a coffee bar . If you are in the area I would check it out for a morning coffee

Ology is brewing the most exciting beers in Tallahassee right now. I say that definitively. There's a reason they won "best brewery" at Hunahpu's day. If you haven't been yet, drop everything, or else clear your Sunday afternoon so that you can sample one of their Juice Labs if you're into fruity beer. Heliocentric Distortion Hazy IPA is a standout. I was hooked after the first smooth sip. The bartenders know their craft and can point you in the right direction so that you find something you like. They offer small pours. I shamelessly ordered one ounce of a spectacular mead during my last visit. They typically have a kombucha on draft as well, and pretzels with spicy brown mustard at the end of the bar which I always end up snacking on. They have a decent amount of cans and bottles to grab and go if you're looking to take something other than a growler home. If you really want to impress your friends, grab a bottle of the Trace Element barrel aged sour out of the fridge (the peach was my favorite), add it to your tab at the counter, and pour your friends a wild beer in stemmed glasses!

Frozen juice lab. Not always available, but as truly unique experience.

Ology Brewing is not even two years old but has already made a name for itself nationwide, and is one of the best breweries in the southeast. The brewers are consistently on the forefront of beer trends while also brewing traditional beer very, very well. They recently won Best Brewery and 2nd Best Beer at Cigar City's Hunahpu's Festival where breweries from across the world come to pour beer. Occasionally, Ology will have guest kegs from Garagiste Meadery which is one of the best meaderies in the country. Kegs such as these rarely leave the Tampa area and I highly recommend trying one if it's available when you stop by. For those that may not nerd out about beer, the staff are super knowledgeable and friendly and will have no problem helping you select beer that you will enjoy. The eclectic tap list includes something that everyone would enjoy, from hazy IPAs and wild fermented barrel aged sours to blonde ales and stouts. Multiple pour sizes are available and they also do crowlers to go. This is one of the must see places in Tallahassee.

Short visit, nice vibe! Some merch for sale. Service was friendly! Didn't seem to be a great deal of parking, but it's downtown.

If I get amazing service I find the on duty manager and tell them immediately so they can feel good about their team. I've spent over 40yrs in the hospitality industry along with wine, beer & spirits distribution. I've run restaurants and nightclubs as well as working for a national chain as a corporate front of the house trainer. I try to always eat local, drink local beer and independent coffee shops. With that being said, I feel I'm qualified to leave this review. I went in there on Father's Day with my family, all adults and one young child. We arrived just as one of the FIFA matches just started, so I know these time quotes are accurate. We watched multiple servers, managers (I'm guessing based on what they were doing) & server assistants. We sat for a good 15 minutes before we had to stop someone, because one of the people was getting hot, and needed some water. It wasn't until after that, we were given menu's and asked what we would like to drink. That took almost 15-18 minutes until those arrived. They were not complicated, Diet Coke a house special drink and their flagship beer. Once the other 3 people joined us, we ordered food and another round. Again, that took 15+ minutes to get that . Albeit they were busy, full house, but it appeared that they ample personal to accommodate the guests. We came specifically for the Chicago Hot Dogs, because they have all the proper ingredients. But, when we ordered... they were out. Then when another sandwich s was ordered, we were told they were out of fries. My pregnant daughter was craving one of their signature doughnuts... they were out. And when I mean out, all signature donuts were outThen there was another side dish that was out, but at this point we were glazing over the menu again. Once food came, it was delicious. The beer and drinks were 5 star, all the way. The last disappointment was when we were ready to check out, our server was nowhere to be found. We waited expecting her to check on us, considering I had ordered one last beer (another 15 minutes went by, and she had to come back to confirm my order). This is in no way a complaint but should be taken as a possible retraining opportunity, or at the absolute least, a good pre-shift discussion on service steps. I tipped well above the normal (30%), because I know how hard things can be. Any other person would have tipped 10% or less. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

I have tried Lake Tribe beers before at the Tally Beer Fest and enjoyed them, so I was excited to try a wider array of their selection. I truly enjoyed their gluten-free seltzer, pineapple brew, and a piña colada version as well. They do not have their own food on site, so make sure to check out which food truck will be there before arriving. Seating is limited, but you can bring your own foldoutout chair and there are picnic tables available outside with some high tops inside. I can see how this space would be refreshing during cooler months and will circle back in fall for sure. As the heat begins encroaching upon Tallahassee, make sure to dress appropriately and wear or bring bug spray, as the area is a bit woodsy near the back of the warehouse where the brewery is housed. The service there is polite and they do their best to make sure there isn't a ton of foam on each pour.

Mind you, we had a shaded table, but nevertheless, it's the principle of the matter that's important. They had a food truck by Pineappetit outside. We ordered their chicken dish and split it two ways because honestly their gimmicky pineapple with all of their rice, beans, and toppings was humongous. We just barely finished it. There was a musician playing covers of I don't know how many 80s and 90s songs. He was on tune and the entire experience was pleasant. I think the only gripe I have about this brewery is where it's located. It's kind of hidden and parking isn't per se clearly labeled.

They had 12 beers on tap the night I visited and I tried a flight of four. I really didn't care for their beer. Overall, not a fan of the beers I tried (but I did try only four), didn't like the atmosphere, or the location.
