I did not try the food here, so no comment from that side of the equation. Service was amazing at the bar. I loved the 3 oz size option in addition the 6 oz and more "normal" pours. The beer is great. Certainly above average for a brewery. The Juice Lab: Passionfruit, Blood Orange, Raspberry (PBR) was particularly amazing. Maybe the best part about this place is (other than it does serve food that I didn't try) is that it covers three areas of interest: Beer (of course), distilled spirits (I took home a bourbon and a rum), and coffee. So, even if you have a designated driver, they should be able to find something here to their liking. The place overall feels modern, clean, and comfortable. Outside of Tallahassee I know they have a location in the Tampa area just north of Ybor that is a lot closer to where I am from so I will have to check that one out too. read more

The cocktails here are consistently delicious. I love coming here. The bartenders are always super nice and helpful in making a decision. The music isn't so loud you can't hear your thoughts. And if you're a beer drinker, Ology beer never disappoints. read more

Ology Brewing - Northside - The Busy Beezzzzz - Breweries Near Me - Tallahassee, Florida

If their first week open is any indication, Ology Northside will be a huge hit. And a much needed tenant for the mall on the corner of Kerry Forest Parkway and Thomasville Road. I went during their opening week and was blown away. First, the physical space is fantastic. Open, airy, gastropub-y. Long bar on the right as you walk in, lots of high top and table seating, big party room, second bar for special events, retail area with beer, booze and merchandise to go, food pickup window, outdoor patio. What's not to like? Their beer list is color coded to help you focus on what you are looking for. They don't do flights, but they do do small pours, and you can taste anything. I tasted a few and all were good, but the fruit sours were exceptional. They are also a distillery and, as a result, have a lot of cocktails. Colin is their cocktail master and he's got some great drinks. I tried the old fashioned and it was perfectly mixed (while they don't make their own bourbon yet, as it needs to distill for years, the bourbon they source is quite good). I also tried the Indigo Wings, with infused vodka, and it was fantastic and refreshing. I also had a taste of the mocktail version of the Sage Francis and it was outstanding. The food menu was limited to give the kitchen time to ramp up. They had a few choices and I went with the chicken sandwich served with a cup of tomato soup. The chicken sandwich was delicious, and the Gorgonzola slaw offered the perfect contrast to the Buffalo chicken. The soup was amazing, and let me wanting more. Lots more. The full menu was posted, and it looks to be delicious. Plus I love that they will be serving breakfast food! There is plenty of parking, and plenty of room inside so come give them a shot. Hard to believe this place tries to do coffee, food, bear, and distilling! I was able to go to this spot twice while visiting and I was impressed that they seem to do all 4 pretty well! The beer was decent and the food was creative and enjoyable! The food is less of a full meal and more snack-like but everything I tried was nice. Growing up near Tallahassee, I'm excited to see a place like this exist and get some traction, I hope they continue to improve and remain creative. I haven't been able to try coffee and any of their regular spirits yet, so I'll have to come back and give those a chance. read more

Ology now has curbside pick up of their offerings on the northeast side of town. I would not have known, but received a flyer in the mail announcing their latest location. I decided to give them a try tonight and picked up a four pack of the nearest thing to Yuengling I could find for my husband ("Good Idea" German style ale). I bought their peach apricot sour (Dynamic Fermentum). I loved the sour (definitely more sour than sweet) and in a nice 550 ml bottle. My husband said his was a bit bitter. My only suggestion would be to have a contact phone number so I could call to get information about their offerings prior to pick up. This was my first time to Ology Brewing and it was a fun time. They have a fantastic selection of beers, that was frankly overwhelming for me, but seemed to be a good range. I tried a sour, which really wasn't for me, but was nice to try. I ended getting a cocktail. The cocktail was really tasty. Great presentation and pretty affordable. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I also got some fries. They were really tasty with a great dipping sauce. They came out quickly too! Overall, it's a nice facility, fun atmosphere and some good music. Beer really isn't my thing but I would still go again. read more

I dropped in to fill a growler, but they don't fill growlers. Friendly folks, but it seems like a miss for a brewery.

Service is great and the beer is all really solid. What's disappointing is the food. The first time we were there we had the worst reuben we've ever tried and recently we went back to try their new flatbreads and they're a very odd experience. They're kind of like thin crust pizza, if the crust was soggy and limp. Not an inviting dish. And the pimento cheese dip...it was run of the mill, but what drives me crazy that it came with about 8 individually wrapped saltine packets. That's wasteful, lazy, and relatively low quality crackers in the first place. read more

Best lunch special in town! Excellent food and craft beer. Just $7 for half flatbread, plus a cup of soup or salad, and a half pour of any beer on tap. You can get a full flatbread for $4 more. Seriously good, house-made food. Plus, plenty of seating inside and out so you can actually enjoy a good bar experience without feeling crowded. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Great concept. Still some growing pains. Last two visits on Friday nights they were basically out of food although the French Fries were great. Crisp, with cheddar shreds and a drizzled Aioli mayo. Keynote items are the bespoke liquor drinks and fermented selections. Mostly Ology products but very unique and tasty. Pretty loud atmosphere but a nice patio deck that is more mellow. Be prepared to go to the bar for food and drink I don't think they have servers on staff. Lots of potential and a needed option in the North Thomasville area. read more
