    Garlic Naan

Gosh, we inhaled this.... I didn't even get a chance to take a photo of the chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, and buttered chicken.... A group of 7 of us stopped by, one person was a vegetarian so she ordered some noodle soup and the veggie momos. The rest of us each ordered a Guru Non-Vegetarian meal deal w 2x the dishes and a naan bread. We all ordered the garlic naan by adding an extra $1. We got mostly chicken dishes with one shrimp dish. Everything was so amazing, frankly we were shocked! We walked by here all the time when we come through Grand Junction staying in downtown GJ but this is the first time we actually stopped by. The service was amazing and attentive. Restaurant is clean. What a gem on Main Street! They've been around forever too so that speaks volumes!

We grab takeout from here pretty frequently, with the usual saag paneer and chicken dishes. We recently tried the Tandoori chicken wings, and I really enjoyed them, as well. They were juicy, flavorful, and surrounded by seasoned onions and veggies. Paired with their estimates creamy saag, it made for a fantastic meal!

Convenient location for takeout while staying at a hotel downtown. Really delicious food! Very flavorful but not too spicy.

Really great flavors and super fresh Indian food. A great little atmosphere with very kind staff! The menu is dense and worth going back to try all the different types of dishes! Great job to this team ! Well done !

Not the friendliest of places. They do a robust to-go business here, though. I was so craving some saag so I was excited to try this place down from the conference center. I ordered medium spicy- it was inedible for me. Server brought yogurt sauce when I told her it was waaay too hot and I couldn't eat it. But no offer to remake or replace for me so I could enjoy my meal. So...$25 for a beer and a bowl of rice. Unbelievable. Not impressed by their lack of customer service and just visible disdain for their customers. I cannot recommend to you.

Excellent first visit while visiting for son's graduation. He loved the food but as per other comments found the reception/server frosty. SERVICE 5/5 Oomish happily booked our table earlier that day and was our server and as we arrived on opening had our choice of table or booth. Chose booth, somewhat compact, it's 20° out and we love each other haha! He was all smiles, helped to advise on dishes to try and qty of food for 4. He explained delivery timing of dishes, and so switched naan out with curry, and not as bread course, etc, checked on us several times asking if we wanted more rice (no further charge btw, we just asked for a little more). Our service and food were excellent. A masked runner brought dishes out and a waitress ran our bill and got us take home boxes and bag. Service all good here on our visit! 4/5 Curries have definite spice profiles and thicker consistency and all equally dilicious. Didn't think to specify heat levels but knew that Vindaloos are spicier and it sure was! Combo had 1-2 pcs chix lamb 1 shrimp and lg pc of beef I think, $18.99. While we had enough to eat, portions are on the smaller side but the heat made a small curry go even further lol. Chicken Tikka Masala $16.99 is a mild dish, 4+ pcs chix, bit sweet, creamy tomato base and goes down a treat. Lamb Saag was also mild and delicious, about 4+ pc meat also. 4/5 Naan are thinner with very crisp bottom $4.99 Garlic a piece, very good. 5/5 Tandoori Wings $13.99 are wet and had fiery hot spots of spice coating, softer vs deep fried, stir fried with just crisp green bells and onions that were quite burny from under cooking and I love them this way. Mouth on fire job for sure though :D 5/5 Lastly, the Chicken Momo $13.99 (10pcs) steamed came out last, taking longest, 20ins to prepare. Thicker skin, densely wrapped, lovely and firm, ginger is prominent and delicious served with a mild thicker rust colored gravy style tomato chutney, ginger onion. Full Bar, wine, local and Indian suds available and only $5.99 for Indian 12oz--malty bit sweet and akin to Japanese Kirin. Just $6.99 18 Road IPA 22oz local from Fruita by Copper Club Brewing Co. Great hop ,medium body coppery gold ale, fruit and pine with big creamy head was very satisfying. Most definitely the Guru of spice in the Kitchen. Fab dinner, just what the cold climate called for, and leftover Momo's and Wings to keep us warmed for another night. Dhan'yavāda Guru's Kitchen!

My go to Indian place. It's amazing. Truly stop here you will not be disappointed Whenever I travel to Grand Junction, I make sure to stop at this amazing place to eat good service, good food and it's pretty busy which is the sign of a good food restaurant if you don't know what to order, get the chicken tikka masala order at mild order, garlic naan with it and cure for dessert he will not be let down

This felt like a hidden gem, which it isn't because it has such high ratings already! We stopped here for lunch after a morning hike and wow are we so glad that we did! The restaurant is right off of the Main Street in Grand Junction, easy to park and walk to. The food was delicious, the garlic naan coming with a yogurt sauce we have never been served with naan before but was delicious. I want to come back to grand junction just so I can come back to order more from gurus! The prices were great for the amount of food you got and the staff were kind and quick.

I had my dog with me and needed to sit outside, and they were so kind and accommodating about it. What really stuck with me though was watching how the staff interacted with a customer with special needs--they were patient, genuine, and incredibly kind. You don't always see that level of understanding at restaurants! I'll be back!

They had the robot back server that seriously motored to our table with our server in tow to remove the food from the robot to give to us. I really wanted this review to be about the food and not the gimmick but----So we started with the MoMo's. Fried, (or you can have them steamed) kind of delicate, half moon, dumplings filled with your choice of filling (chicken for us) with a flavorful dipping sauce. Every bite of the appetizer and lunch special (chicken masala and chicken vindaloo) was better than the last. The flavors opened up as we ate and we spoke about trying more Nepalese restaurants. I will say as much as I enjoyed this meal, as much as I loved its authenticity, the place itself was not memorable. Decent. Kind of weird. Will go back but also grateful that the food was so good it makes me want to investigate further this delicious food!
