Bowl of sesame chicken broccoli and sauce

What makes this a $19 dish?! Literally chicken broccoli and sauce. No rice. No noodles. Oh and there's a teeny tiny disclaimer at the bottom of the menu stating that the meals do not come with rice that the cashier showed me after I said something about it.

Came back with a friend who recommended trying the spicy dried eggplant. This one plate was $17. Gu's is a bit more on the expensive side in general, but this much for dried eggplant was questionable. It honestly wasn't spicy or that flavorful, just tasted like fried salty eggplant. I wouldn't try this again.

These dumplings are outrageously yummy! We have been back 3 times and only want to pork and chicken dumplings! They are incredible. I mean, just thinking about them makes my mouth water! The sauce is the perfect amount of spice and the servings are generous - 6+ dumplings in each order that totally fill you up. I love the whole Halcyon food court vibe - upscale, of course! Everyone is super friendly and we will be back soon to try...dumplings again! M

The best dumpling spot in all of Georgia. Whether you go here or the location in Chamblee you cant go wrong. Dumplings and sweet, savory, and have a bite to them that you cant get anywhere else. ALSO the green beans are a must.

The sauce that comes with the dumpling were delicious. It was sweet and spicy. The dumplings was a little hard and doughy in texture. The filling inside didn't have any flavor to it. The homemade sauce was really the star of the show. I've had way better dumplings.

I love gu's!!!! I always get one thing and one thing only. The spicy dried eggplant! Tons of cilantro & garlic on top of the delicious fried eggplant. It is a great option for vegetarians as well.

Gu's Dumplings is located inside the Halcyon food hall. I ALWAYYYYSSSS get the pork dumplings and love the sweet and spicy sauce. They're served with minced garlic, sesame seeds and green onions. Soooo good! You can order 6 dumplings for $10 or 12 dumplings for $15 which is pretty steep but they're actually worth it. The staff is friendly, and service is very quick, but can get very busy around lunch time.

This Gu's Dumplings location is in the well maintained The Market Hall (food court) at Halcyon. On a Sunday morning at 11 am, there weren't that many food options available in Halcyon at the time, and we didn't want to drive around looking for other places. We decided to try a couple of things at Gu's Dumplings. The employee at the counter was very nice and welcoming, and was quick at taking our orders: An large order of 12 pork Zhong style dumplings and an order of 2 spring rolls. While waiting for our food, we sat at one of the high top tables in the roomy indoor dining area used by all customers of the food court vendors. After 15 minutes, our order was called out and I picked up our food at the counter. The fried vegetarian spring rolls were hot, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. They had a delicious flavor that was enhanced by dipping them in the homemade sweet sauce. I didn't care much for texture or the flavor of the pork Zhong style dumplings, which were water boiled pork dumplings in homemade sweet and spicy Zhong sauce with minced garlic and sprinkled with sesame seeds and fresh green onions. To me the soft dumplings lacked any flavor, had a texture that was too mushy for my preference, and I didn't even detect a sweetness to the sauce - just a spicy heat. I also thought that, overall, the portions were small for what we paid. The spring rolls and the service were really good. I've had much better tasting dumplings elsewhere that weren't priced so high.

Absolutely disgusting. Old cold rubbery inedible! I won't not feed this to an animal. Don't know how they are still in business!

This was stop 3 of mine and my husband's drink and food crawl! We were not disappointed! These are some of the best dumplings, I've ever tasted. Please stop by and try these

I've tried a variety of dishes over the years and they've been able to maintain great cooking consistency. Their dining room service used to be high-touch. They lost a couple older, but much more service oriented wait staffers over the years. Whenever you had lobster before, they would offer a new plate in exchange of your existing plate filled with discarded shells. Today, they couldn't care less. But, the biggest detraction now is that they have significantly reduced their portion sizing. It's been a short few months since I've dined in, but I was there this week and ordered a variety of dishes and was hugely DISAPPOINTED that most dishes were HALF-SIZED compared to last year. IT WAS SHOCKING. The menu prices have always been premium pricing but it's even more so today when shrinkflation showed up this past week. It was really a let down because they have raised prices over the years but at least kept the sizing fairly consistent. I was okay paying higher prices for good portions and good service, but that equation simply doesn't add up anymore.

The first time I ate here I started to eat as soon as my food was placed in front of me, that I forgot to take photos. Our waitress Pawnie is the BEST! She's helped us both times we've been in and even remembered what appetizer my husband and I said we wanted to try on our next visit. As soon as she recognized us tonight, she was already putting the order in so we wouldn't have to wait long. Like I said, wonderful service. This restaurant offers a vast variety of dinner options. If you're in the mood for sushi, opt for "dining in," as all rolls will then be 30% off! On this visit we ordered the Roti Canai appetizer (Indian Pancake served with Curry dipping sauce), two Picasso Rolls, and a side Hot and Sour Soup. Soup is always my favorite. I've now tried two from here, and both have been so flavorful and filling. The sushi rolls are all presented beautifully, and we have yet to order an appetizer that we don't plan to try again. 10/10!

I've had Mama's Kitchen on my list for a while once it popped up on my Taiwanese cuisine radar. It looks like the menu has expanded to included non-Taiwanese dishes, maybe to suit the tastes of the other cultures in the area. However, I was going straight for the Taiwanese favorites, including the Braised Minced Pork over Rice (滷肉飯), fried chicken cutlet over rice and of course the classic beef noodle soup. Everything was a-ok! Service was friendly, even inside the H-Mart food court. My favorite was the minced pork over rice (i even ordered a second order to go LOL), but the chicken cutlet and beef noodle soup hit the spot.
