    Veggie dumpling

Came back with a friend who recommended trying the spicy dried eggplant. This one plate was $17. Gu's is a bit more on the expensive side in general, but this much for dried eggplant was questionable. It honestly wasn't spicy or that flavorful, just tasted like fried salty eggplant. I wouldn't try this again.

These dumplings are outrageously yummy! We have been back 3 times and only want to pork and chicken dumplings! They are incredible. I mean, just thinking about them makes my mouth water! The sauce is the perfect amount of spice and the servings are generous - 6+ dumplings in each order that totally fill you up. I love the whole Halcyon food court vibe - upscale, of course! Everyone is super friendly and we will be back soon to try...dumplings again! M

The best dumpling spot in all of Georgia. Whether you go here or the location in Chamblee you cant go wrong. Dumplings and sweet, savory, and have a bite to them that you cant get anywhere else. ALSO the green beans are a must.

The sauce that comes with the dumpling were delicious. It was sweet and spicy. The dumplings was a little hard and doughy in texture. The filling inside didn't have any flavor to it. The homemade sauce was really the star of the show. I've had way better dumplings.

Gu's Dumplings is located inside the Halcyon food hall. I ALWAYYYYSSSS get the pork dumplings and love the sweet and spicy sauce. They're served with minced garlic, sesame seeds and green onions. Soooo good! You can order 6 dumplings for $10 or 12 dumplings for $15 which is pretty steep but they're actually worth it. The staff is friendly, and service is very quick, but can get very busy around lunch time.

    Spicy Dried Eggplant

I love gu's!!!! I always get one thing and one thing only. The spicy dried eggplant! Tons of cilantro & garlic on top of the delicious fried eggplant. It is a great option for vegetarians as well.

This Gu's Dumplings location is in the well maintained The Market Hall (food court) at Halcyon. On a Sunday morning at 11 am, there weren't that many food options available in Halcyon at the time, and we didn't want to drive around looking for other places. We decided to try a couple of things at Gu's Dumplings. The employee at the counter was very nice and welcoming, and was quick at taking our orders: An large order of 12 pork Zhong style dumplings and an order of 2 spring rolls. While waiting for our food, we sat at one of the high top tables in the roomy indoor dining area used by all customers of the food court vendors. After 15 minutes, our order was called out and I picked up our food at the counter. The fried vegetarian spring rolls were hot, crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. They had a delicious flavor that was enhanced by dipping them in the homemade sweet sauce. I didn't care much for texture or the flavor of the pork Zhong style dumplings, which were water boiled pork dumplings in homemade sweet and spicy Zhong sauce with minced garlic and sprinkled with sesame seeds and fresh green onions. To me the soft dumplings lacked any flavor, had a texture that was too mushy for my preference, and I didn't even detect a sweetness to the sauce - just a spicy heat. I also thought that, overall, the portions were small for what we paid. The spring rolls and the service were really good. I've had much better tasting dumplings elsewhere that weren't priced so high.

This was stop 3 of mine and my husband's drink and food crawl! We were not disappointed! These are some of the best dumplings, I've ever tasted. Please stop by and try these

I love Gu's Dumplings. It's one of the best I've ever had. Their handmade noodles are also fantastic. Great flavor and consistency. However, I agree with other Yelpers about the price. Having tried several different items from here, I can say it's a bit expensive. A full order of dumplings is $14, handmade sweet & spicy thick noodles are $14, a 16oz. hot & sour soup is $6.5, an order of mapo tofu is $15, etc. The meat entrees also don't come with rice. It's an additional $1.5 for white rice. I can't complain too much. The food is always delicious and the portions are good. We always leave full and satisfied. We're lucky to have a Gu's location up here. I just can't frequent it as much as I'd like to.

This was a very popular location at the food hall. There was always ongoing customers at this spot. The person up front was very helpful and nice as this was my first time at the food hall since it opened. I opted for the 6 steamed pork dumplings. You can choose from 6 or 10 quantity wise for the number of dumplings as well as if you want pork, chicken, or vegetable. It was very filling and tasty except I would next time opt for light sauce as it was a lot of sauce and it was very oily. Also, it's kind of pricey, as it costs $10 for half an order of dumplings. I do recommend this place as it was good and worth trying.

Got the Handmade Sweet and Spicy Thick Noodles. They were good, and gets spicier as you eat them but also gets pretty salty after a while. Unfortunately, I paid $15 for these noodles and wouldn't say that I'm full after eating them. You can tell that the noodles are handmade and are definitely doughy (which was great!), but again, it's more so a little more than a snack kind of portions. Overall, service was good and pretty quick despite the food hall becoming busy for the dinner rush.

Most of the dishes had good flavor but were not quite the flavor profile that I prefer for each dish. I was really excited about the Mapo Tofu, but it wasn't quite to my liking, though everyone else liked it! I think my flavor preferences are just a little different than what the restaurant serves. Their green beans were good, though a little wilty, but comparable flavor to what I like Service was good in the beginning as we seemed to be greeted and placed our order with the manager/chef. But the employee we flagged down in the end to ask for to-go boxes seemed a bit unaware of our needs (ex. giving us a small styrofoam box for a soupy/saucy dish as opposed to a plastic container). She did seem pretty young though.
