Neighborhood gem for lunch specials (I've not been for dinner). The price is extremely reasonable for today's economy. For $11.00 I got a hot and sour soup, beef stir fry with rice and egg roll. The wonton crisps are the best I've ever had cause they're so crispy and crunchy. The hot and sour soup has such a nice kick (not for those who can't do spicy) and it's a bit sweeter than other places but really delicious. Probably the best hot and sour soup I've ever had. I've tried the Mongolian beef and mandarin beef and they're both delicious. My date tried the basil noodle and pad see ew and they're both good as well. Ask for the house chili oil on the side, it's great for those that enjoy spicy. So I can say their Chinese and Thai menu are both good. We also got the sushi lunch special once but they currently do not serve it because there's no sushi chef at the moment. Service is also great and very friendly. Came here for lunch w the fam! Service was great, we constantly had someone coming to refill our water and check on us. Ambience was good too. Food was pretty delicious and fresh! However, last Friday I placed an order from here and I probably won't eat there again. I got: house fried rice, lemon pepper wings, and steamed pot stickers. The good: the dumplings were delicious. The terrible: the lemon pepper wings were inedible. Salty doesn't begin to describe it. Literally inedible, tried to wipe off the caked on salt but it was a futile mission. Went straight to the garbage. The House Fried Rice was a horror show. There were egg shells all throughout the rice. Not just a piece of shell, shells all through the rice. Straight to the trash. I had not been to Simon's and went with family members their recommendation. I enjoy oriental food and found dinner excellent. We ordered an appetizer to share: chicken lettuce wraps. The lettuce was crisp and the chicken mixture was tasty. Plenty of chicken and great flavor. I ordered Shrimp with Vegetables and asked for it spicy. It was perfect! Plenty of large, excellently cooked shrimp, the vegetables nicely crisp and the sauce a good compliment to it all. The other entries were also well received. All portions were plentiful. The take-out service was quick - faster than they estimated, and the staff was courteous. We tried this restaurant for the first time when takeout or delivery was the only options. The food was simply delicious! We called and the gentleman on the phone was very helpful in making recommendations. We ordered the Massaman Curry Chicken and Mongolian Beef. Both dishes came in nice sized portions and sturdy containers. The prices were average for Chinese food but they have Thai food as well. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant was the pickup situation. We had to go into the restaurant to pickup the food was was ready to go. I think they can make a quick pickup station in the front of the restaurant instead of having multiple people come in at the same time. Went to Simon's on Christmas Day with a group of 10 friends. We had a reservation. At first they tried to sit us in a 4 top booth with a table pushed next to it. We were 10 adults and this did not work. The manager set up another long table for us. They did have an abbreviated Holiday menu but everyone loved their food. Once we were seated. Quiet little shopping center Chinese place. The meal started out on a low note, their Hot & Sour soup was possibly the worst I have ever had. It was definitely the first time I have ever not finished a serving of my favorite Chinese dIsh. The spring roll came out with the soup, and it too lacked any sort of excitement. The table mustard & sweet sauces were above par. At this point I expect this meal to nose dive down to 1 star; but I must admit that the entree sesame chicken was very good and saved the whole thing. Excellent sauce and lightly steamed broccoli were both fantastic. The dish was unfortunately made with white meat chicken instead of the traditional dark meat. Also the amount of broccoli seemed suspiciously heavy, almost as to act as a filler to reduce the amount of chicken served. The hot tea I had with the meal was good; but not quite worth the $2.50.
