The last two times I have picked up breadsticks after work ( around 4:30) they have been burnt, dry and old. Not sure why ...maybe they are leftover from lunch. TERRIBLE. Also, big price increase in bottles of ranch dressing. $6.99 plus tax for a small bottle. Go across the street to Jets....get the same dressing...in a plastic reusable squirt bottle for $3.99 plus tax ( $4.25 total). I've lived in Brighton for a good number of years now, and didn't even know this place existed until my wife's friend asked her what she thought of Gus's. She was told the bread sticks were heavenly, so we ordered some carry out the other day. I wanted to try the pizza too and was told by the lady there that mediums were on special for $4. So $4 for a dozen bread sticks, and $4 for a pizza. How is this place making money? The bread sticks...yeah. I don't think much else needs to be said that hasn't already. They are ridiculously good. I guarantee at some point this week we're getting just the bread sticks as a dinner entree. Warm, buttery, just the right amount of cheese on top, they're purdy damn good. The pizza was a nice surprise too. It looked like a hot mess but tasted way better. They really pile on the cheese which adds significantly to its deliciousness. Always great food, amazing bread sticks and friendly service! Whatever Gus's is doing to keep their staff happy and friendly, please keep encouraging that! Usually when I see teenagers working the counter in any food spot I get concerned because typically teens just want their pay check. But for whatever reason, whenever I call to order, they are awesome in the phone, and prompt nice and have a great sense of humor in person when I pick up! Ordered a pizza, bread, and a salad and told us it was going to be 15mins. So at 15mins we are there and they forgot to make our pizza. So we wait another 30mins for the pizza and we get home and it was the wrong pizza. Also we got a full order of bread and there was only 7 bread sticks in the bag. Gus's is my all time favorite place to go to in Brighton or Hartland. Their salads and garlic bread sticks are amazing! You can grab a bag of fresh bread sticks and some cream cheese garlic dip and you are set. There pizzas are good but a little pricey, I guess you get what you pay for! I tried the Brighton location after bad service at the Howell location. I was hesitant but it ended up being a great decision. The service here was oodles better than the experience I had previously elsewhere. My food was prepared as it was requested. The staff was polite and did a great job processing folks in and out of the business. As soon as as the counter became congested the person running it asked for help and the crowd was dispersed. Covid being a thing it is worth mentioning that the staff was all masked and there was adequate spacing clearly marked on the floor. Each person was allotted a two square foot of space with 6 feet between them. Everything about the service and the food was better than the other location I visited. I will be a returning customer here and have 0 gripes about driving out of my way to this location. Well done folks! read more

This place *could be* good...unfortunately, everything is poorly executed. I've ordered carry out a few times from this location. Today, the man I spoke to when ordering sounded like I was bothering him placing an order. The pizza is mediocre at best especially when you have several great pizza shops in the area. There is something off with the cheese to sauce ratio. The bread sticks are as people have said, great when they are fresh but for some reason they are always burnt and OLD. The Greek salad is 99% lettuce with 1% toppings. The dressing is pretty good but pointless when all you have is lettuce. Every salad we've had from here is old with brown lettuce and/or old vegetables. I love to support local businesses but we won't bother going here ever again. read more

When I order fried chicken, I only really want the dark meat. Gus's only allows one to buy pieces relative to whole chickens, meaning that if you buy 8 pieces, there should be two legs, two thighs, two breasts, and to wings. Tonight, I received three legs, one thigh, two wings, and two breasts. If it were just a matter of being off on the types of pieces, I wouldn't write the review. However, every piece was anemic. The legs were scrawny, as were the other pieces. Their chicken used to be very good, but no longer. I don't plan on getting chicken from Gus's again. Gus's is NOT a hole in the wall. Their inside order area is clean, bright & nicely designed. I ordered the Lasagna Dinner. It came with a fresh, delicious Greek side salad, hot bread sticks , and nicely prepared Lasagna. I will definitely be back to order the Ribs & Chicken combo. The dressing here is my absolute favorite dressing by far out of any place you can think to find a quality Greek salad dressing at honestly! The breadsticks and garlic cream cheese dip is a must as well to pair with your salad!!! Family can't get enough of that dip I swear! Cajun chicken salad is very recommendable as well! Terrific! I ordered the 4-pc fried chicken dinner and the huge bag they gave me to tote it all home was a shocker, as there was a LOT of food in that bag! I'm set for dinner tomorrow too with the leftovers. Chicken was wonderful -not over spiced and not in the least bit greasy. I also had their broasted potatoes and cole slaw, and while these aren't usually side dishes to get worked up over, they were just as good as the chicken! We've lived in Brighton for 30 years and Gus's is a STAPLE for us. I called for an 'earlier than usual pickup' on a Sunday......and it was NO PROBLEM!! Whatever they could do....and couldn't have been nicer. Other breadstix just will NOT DO!!! These are (and always have been) awesome. so glad they have survived over the years for the greek salad and ribs and bread sticks are the best! Highly recommend. And they do awesome catering too! I had a craving for BBQ ribs last night and I'm glad that I picked Gus's to satisfy my crave. I ordered a full slab, 12 bones, to share with my family. They were "fall off the bone". I am quite picky when it comes to ribs, but I can honestly say that if you're looking for ones with a unique taste, go to Gus's. I'm no expert when it comes to the price of great tasting ribs, but I feel that the price was a little high, especially when all you get is ribs-no sides. Gus' catered my daughters graduation party. It was fantastic! People raved about the food! Fried chicken was seasoned well and crisp. Mostaccioli and macaroni & cheese were both really good - should have ordered more (people were taking big heaping servings). Apple orchard salad was loaded with delicious chicken, and the greek salad was full of veggies and cheese. Had to get the breadsticks too! They gave plenty of dressing and serving utensils with our order. Made our day much easier! read more

Bought their fried chicken, it was so greasy I couldn't even eat it. There was so much grease in it it was soggy.

Ordered Pasta tray, bread stick and Greek salad. The pasta tray had no flavor. Waste of money!
