We ordered 3 full subs (Steak, Chicken Brest, Chicago Steak ~$58). Subs were delicious... especially the bread, it was crunchy, and soft and light at the same time. The dining area and bathrooms were very clean. Plenty of seats and plenty of parking. *Everything came out on paper/styrofoam plates -- Utensils were metal -- we cut through our plates when we were cutting the subs in quarters. I just got back home with my large pizza. I was excited because Mancino's is my favorite pizza place in the whole town. This time, my pizza was so dry. There must of been about half the pizza sauce on it than what they usually put on there. With crust that thick and almost no sauce, it was so dry could barely eat it. Please do better. I'm still gonna go back because this is not the usual, but please retrain whoever made my pizza. read more

Ordered a full size Italian grinder, no mayo with extra lettuce and cheese to go. Got in car and while driving home noticed that the no mayo box wasn't checked off on box. I called the to verify that they didn't put mayo on it since its hard to tell if they put it on under the cheese. The gal that answered the phone couldn't verify if they made it right or not. If they did I could come back and order another. The whole point of to go is to actually eat it somewhere else and should be made right to start. Got home, still couldn't tell if they put mayo under the cheese. The Italian grinder had NO onions, NO peppers and barely any tomatoes and mushrooms. I will not be returning here again. Food is always hot and ready reasonably quick. Fountain drinks are self-serve. A big plus is the pizza always reheats very well the next day. We were celebrating my sons 4th birthday in Brighton yesterday and we were trying to decide between Jets (that we always order) or Mancino's. I called to place a large order of 3 different pizzas, along with orders of bread and dipping sauces. The staff was super friendly, order was perfect. The pizza was delicious! So very good. Today I have been craving pizza I wanted something unique that Mancino's does not have on their menu. I simply wanted a deep dish cheese pizza. Nothing more, nothing less. I asked the owner if he would not mind having his cook reverse the order of the cheese pizza, with double cheese on bottom and some tomato sauce on top. I do don't want the pizza covered in sauce so I had him ladle it as best he could. 15 minutes later my taste buds went crazy. It is so delicious. The exciting thing is that if my family hates it, I get more pizza!!!! Yes, Yes, Yes !!!!!!! Why did I suggest this. Most of their grinders have mayo covered in cheese on one side of the sandwich so I wanted my pizza to be similar without the mayo. It was great! Go here occasionally because we love the sandwiches, but they are never ready for pickup at the time they quote. I was told 15 minutes so I got there and waited in the parking lot until 20 min. Went in and they hadn't started the food. Waited another 30 min and they brought it up. I looked at it, and it was missing an order of cheesy bread. So it all goes back under the heat lamps and I watched as he makes another couple of sandwiches, then makes my bread. I watch another cheesy bread come out and rather than give me that one, it goes under the lamp while the rest of that order comes up. So I watch a half dozen more orders come up, some for people who walked in and ordered AFTER me. Finally my bread came out and he brought my food out again. I had a salad, 3 big grinders, 2 orders of cheesy bread. The paper bags they use are the poorest possible quality and frequently they rip. No offer to help carry the order out, no apology, nothing. I've come to Mancino's for years now; off and on, and driving from the Lansing area to come visit for a taste. They're pricey nowadays, but it's the best oven baked sub (or grinder, as they call it) in Brighton. There used to be one location in Howell, however, it never stood up to the quality as the Brighton location. I can also say the same regarding the Ann Arbor location. The Brighton location just nails it. The staff is usually friendly, personable. The establishment is a little hard to get into if you're handicap, save if you have an attendant present (or help in your party). Once inside, it's pretty open to sit at a table, or on an end booth. The bread is savory, crunchy, yet chewy, and is the foundation for the sandwich. Then it's smothered with hearty toppings, meat, cheese and sauce (if applicable). This applies to their low carb, and gluten free breads. There's a broad selection of sandwiches, and pizzas. You can pair up pizza by the slice, or your grinder with a soda (or water). A personal favorite is the Steak Grinder (whole). Dining in, it comes garnished with a pickle and on plates. Another tasty favorite is the Italian Grinder. They have their regular bread, low carb, and gluten free. So feel free to mix it up to your liking. Mediocre food, they skimp on items and the owner has a poor attitude towards customers and his employees. Today, had a problem recently with same menu item I ordered today. So I brought it up. So they upcharged me for the "special request". Paid without realizing it. Addressed the issue once I realized it and brought it up to employee (nice guy). Owner initially refused to correct it through same employee. Food delivered. I ate. Menu item disappoints again so I photographed it to show the owner when I talked to him. Finished and I addressed it with owner. Explained situation as polite as possible. Out of the gate the owner had arrogant attitude about "we're having too much conversation" about the issue. Yet, had time to go off about his shortcomings as a manager and running a business. For the record...I've run 2 pizza joints in the past and have owned 2 other businesses (23+ years business ownership experience) in the past. To show him an example of the "issue" I had a photo of it with today's purchase. I showed him. His response "of course you took a photo of it" . Didn't say it, but thought YEAH I TOOK A PHOTO OF IT! FOR PROOF! The owner PROPERLY refunded my improper upcharge. The only thing he got right in this whole interaction was "you're not my bro let's get that right". He's right... SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AVOID THIS PLACE. Lost my business and that of my families and as many friends as I can tell. P.S. When I called to place an order the phone rang several times and finally someone picked up and then immediately hung up on me. I called back and asked if they had just hung up, because it seemed like it, mentioning that it could have been a phone glitch. The guy on the phone was wound up, very rude and argumentative. When I picked up the order he came up to me and got in my face again. asked if i had a problem. He definitely has anger management problems. I though he was going to start wailing on me. He's in his fifties, with a beard, said it was his store. It used to be a good place, it's toxic now. I recommend you stay far away!! read more

I've been there at least 50 times for carryout orders in the last ten years and here is what you should know: The service is top notch at this location. I get the impression that Mancino's hires carefully and trains diligently. What you'll notice about the folks behind the counter is they know exactly what they're doing. They're quick, professional and pleasant every time. The quality and consistency of the ingredients at Mancino's is something to be admired. I came here for lunch on a whim with my mom. The menu has many delicious options, I asked one of the employees what people usually get. My mom got the chicken parm grinder and I couldn't decide so I just got a slice of pizza and the cheese garlic bread. It was $16 for those 3 items. We found a table to sit at and I was so pleased that this is one of the few places that doesn't water down the fountain pop! Thank you! My mom's grinder was light and fresh with a great combination of flavor. The pizza doe is the kind that is hard to stop eating and the sauce had just the right amount of tomato. The garlic bread was also good but we were too full to finish. I can't wait to come back to try another grinder! Grinders are great. 3 star because of the grinders. I decided to try their cauliflower/gluten free pizza. The pizza tastes really good. The problem is ordering it. When I asked for a large I was told they only come in medium. Their menu states a medium is 12 inches/8 slices. I was ordering for 4 adults and 1 child so I ordered 2 and a salad. I was told 15 - 20 minutes. Got there and waited an extra 20 minutes - 40 minutes total. Got my pizza and looked at it. Told the girl there was a mistake that I had ordered mediums and these are smaller than a small pizza. She said no that is what they called a medium. It was not even 8 inches and there were 6 small pieces...and I paid $28 for that. I had to go to Little Caesar's because I couldn't wait another 40 minutes. But when I come in to pick it up my pizza Grinder is a seafood grinder (which I don't see in the menu). But then ask the person that I placed the order with and he says very loudly i read it back to her, but I must of heard it wrong. Yup light sauce means light mayo. But I'm the wrong one...
