From the location on Route 34, round the corner, he gave me my first pair of hard contacts and then my first pair of soft contacts. The new location out on Templeton is so beautiful and comfortable. Now, he doesn't do it all by himself. Oh no. They ladies that work there are awesome. And most of them have been there for years and years. It truly is the only place i can go to where they actually recognize me and ask after the rest of my family. I know other docs working with Dr. Hein have come and go, but he's truly the best. He's pretty matter of fact and will take the time to explain things IF YOU ASK. Otherwise, if you don't, he'll give you what you need and send you on your way. Always ask questions.

They said I had to do both. Gave them my vision and medical insurance cards. Dr was nice and glasses were reasonably price. Next exam was a month away. The day before they called and said that someone marked down I was self pay. Um no. Oh we need your insurance. No you have it and when I was in a photo of it was taken. Oh must be we are out of network then and I would have to pay the entire cost out of pocket as they wouldn't do the paperwork for me to get reimbursed. By this time wasn't going to argue so I just told her to cancel the appointment. She said ok and hung up. Went elsewhere with no issue at all. I went somewhere else and was able to get just a diabetic eye exam with no proof that I had a regular eye exam. They wasted my time. I have since dropped the vision insurance. Since I know now both eye exams are not required like this told me they were, I will go elsewhere.

I didn't find the manager very professional or able to listen. I didn't feel the eye exam was thorough enough, hence my prescription was not close enough to what I needed. The person helping me but glasses was very nice, but was not very well trained. She went to get someone to write the correct numbers on the prescription for her. However, when I first met Aung (Dr.), I was thoroughly impressed. Please note I am tough to please:). I have a high power and so does my son so it's important to me that there is some expert that is watching out for the health of our eyes. For the first time in 27 years (since I came to USA), I felt that my eyes are in good care and that Dr. Aung would not let anything bad happen to our eyes. My daughter (who lives in London) also gets her checkups/glasses through them. Besides Aung, Dena and Lauren are also great. Over the years, it feels like we are part of the family. I trust them 100% w/ their recommendations as it's never about money but rather caring for the patients. Since I found them, I have recommended all my friends to their practice (family-run). A few thoughts about their decision to "upgrade" me without my KNOWLEDGE or CONSENT. 1. This special exam is supposed to be a contact lens fitting. I've been getting my exams and contacts from For Eyes for 3 years! I choose the exact same contacts as years prior! 2. The special exam was the EXACT same exam as I had at their Naperville location... only A LOT MORE money insurance wouldn't pay! 3. Naperville cost was $14. Oswego price was a whopping $60.00 out of pocket FOR THE SAME EXAM!! Read some of the other reviews on here about this place and their "special eye exam", it wasn't just me that got ripped off, seems they have a habit on doing this.
