Let me start this off with a little back story, my 5 year old is TERRIFIED of eye doctors. When he was 3.5 I had to take him to the doctor and they had to put drops in his eyes and do a bunch of tests and it was a traumatic thing for him. Fast forward to now, he needed a kindergarten eye exam. On top of his issues, I also have extreme fear of germs and going into public spaces right now is a big thing for me. I panicked for a week, calling different places, but I heard great things about this place so I chose to come here. BEST. DECISION. EVER. The staff was SO NICE as soon as we walked through the door. They immediately put me and my son at ease. It was ridiculously clean, I saw employees using hand sanitizer multiple times. Everything was covered in plastic. The doctor was AMAZING with my son. She explained everything, kept him talking so he wasn't focused too much on what was being done. It was quick and there were no tears. She explained everything to me and him afterwards. What I thought was going to be a horrible experience turned out to be a very positive one. If you're looking for kind and patient people, this is the place for you! read more

I am writing this for 2 or 3 years ago. This store in order to push sales, told us that we can get free exams and glasses. We pay first then to claim money from our insurance. We spent over $1600 for the glasses, then waiting from them to get insurance's check, we visited them several times, but never got paid. It has been almost 3 years past, we are still waiting. We know it was Actually a lie, it was their tricks to push sales. The place people was ok before, but looks wired now, does not looks like normal people. The absolute best of the best around the Chicagoland area. I have been coming to Couture Vision for approximately five years now. I have seen both doctors Black and Klover. My most recent examinations have been with Dr. Klover. She is absolutely meticulous in detail. With a history of two eye surgeries, I imagine some of my needs are more complex than that of other patients. I have been fitted with both glasses and contact lenses at this location. The doctor's determination to find the absolute best solution is unparalleled. Most importantly, of all the optometrists and ophthalmologists that I've seen over the years, Dr. Klover takes the time to really explain what is going on and why patients are experiencing some of the symptoms that they are going through. Had a fantastic experience here. I have a lot of eye issues, including glaucoma and a retinal tear and I have been at sea since my old optometrist closed up shop. I've been going to Couture Vision since 2017 for eye exams and have never had any billing or other issues until today. If you have eye vision insurance please do not go there. They are considered out of network with Metlife Vision, VSP and you have to pay the full amount up front and get a very small check back. Go to an in network dr if you have eye insurance and your eye exam will be fully covered. I paid $191 for my exam and will get only $50 back from my provider through a check. Also their support staff is rude, disrespectful and would blame you the client if they cannot find your details. I also detected a sense of bias when one of the staff told me it's a legal issue because my husband's name which is long was not fully shown in their profile. This is after my husband has been there for years and they have filed insurance claims in the past under that name. They send you online forms to complete and make some sections mandatory and others not mandatory. When you don't complete the 'not required' sections they say it's your fault that you had to spend over an hr to get billing issues resolved. Also they say they can bill your medical insurance but it's counted as part of your deductible rather than a copay. So if you have not met your deductible expect to pay full eye exam fees. Dr. Black I appreciate your response but I want to clarify when Couture Vision was still in network with my vision plan, I paid only $75 for my comprehensive eye exam. read more

Read this review if you want to understand why going to a local eyeglass store is better than a chain... Katie at Couture Vision saved my wedding! I bought eyeglasses at Couture few years ago. One of the temples was severely bent (I likely rolled on them one evening after falling asleep reading). Clearly my fault and the glasses were out of warranty. I went into the store three weeks before my wedding to order new temples for my glasses. I did not realize at the time the replacement temples were being shipped from Italy. One week before my wedding the replacement temples had not arrived and now bent temple actually broke off. Katie provided me regular updates on the shipping status but when she heard my glasses broke she physically went to their other stores to find suitable parts until my replacement temples arrived from Italy. She also spoke to her local Ray Ban representative to see if he could help. Ultimately, Katie found temples that would fit my glasses for me to use on loan. Katie and Couture went above and beyond to help me in a time sensitive situation. When we buy eyeglasses so often we just think of the cost of the transaction and fail to recognize the value of a local relationship and the likelihood of Murphy's Law happening post-purchase. A national chain would not have gone to the lengths to support me as Katie did three years after I purchased my glasses. This is why I will continue to support Couture Vision and hope my story inspires you to do so as well. read more

Just went in for my yearly eye exam with Dr. Black. Nothing short of fabulous as always. He has another location in Bolingbrook that he works at as well. Very easy to talk to and gives sound advice on what to look out for down the road. Framewear isn't cheap, but because of how stylish they are and the build quality being so good, you get what you pay for. Haven't expreienced the other doctor yet, but based on the reviews, I can't see anybody going wrong going here. read more

I had an appointment today with Dr. Klover. Dr. Klover was great. She was nice, very thorough and informative. There were two ladies at the front desk. I don't remember their names, but only one was helpful. The best way to describe them was one had curly hair the other had braids. I was checking out, and I was asking about pricing and what my insurance covers and doesn't cover for frames. The woman with the curly hair had a nasty attitude and kept saying she didn't know. She was getting flustered trying to help me and another woman, but wasn't friendly. I decided to make it easy and just pay out of pocket, since she seemed incompetent, and deal with my insurance later. I asked what would it cost to pay out of pocket for the frames and lenses. Once again, she didn't know anything and didn't want to help. Luckily, the woman with braids came over and assisted me and explained everything. We bought my son's new glasses at this downtown Naperville location due to the fact that it accepted our VSP (vision/glasses) insurance. We had gone to our family eye doctor for the prescription but didn't want to order glasses from him as they weren't included in VSP coverage. I found this place from a recommendation by a friend. She bought these wonderful sunglasses that were different. Also she recommended asking for a hispanic gentleman that worked there who had sold her the glasses. I think his name was Hector or Henry. Let me say that my first visit was amazing the gentleman was there. He did help me a lot. I loved his personality he made me laugh. Also he was really honest and cared about what looked good/bad on me. I really felt comfortable kinda like a personal shopper. He even ordered a few glasses to look at on my next visit. The next visit was just like the first one. Attended to my needs knew a lot about the products. So recently I visited with a friend and had a totally different experience. There looks to be some changes on the look. I went in thinking I would have been treated like the last visits. The gentleman was not there this time. There was two lady's one looked tan and the other had dark hair. They came off as being rude. One was checking her phone which was the tan lady and the other went to the back room lady with dark hair. I wasn't even greeted. We were looking to get help and when we did. I didn't like the tone in the lady's voice. She didn't look like she was having fun. When asked about the products she was not knowledgeable. I'm not sure if there is new people but looks like they need to focus on customer service and not push a sale. This is a nice place with nice glasses. I'm sad I didn't get the experience I had the first couple of times. Im not sure if I'll visit this place again. read more
