Food is excellent for sure. I have to say, their "no sleeveless shirts for men" dress code- which is very much enforced- is absurd and laughable . This place has great food, but it's a bar and grill and it's not a nice one at that. It's not fine dining. My husband and I sat alone on the patio for lunch one day after going to the gym. We both had on sleeveless workout shirts. He was approached by I assume a manager with an offer to wear some shirt they had in the back, or we would have to leave. Are you kidding me? His argument was that "it's a family restaurant ". So as a female, I could come in with a plunging neckline with the twins on full display or some booty shorts on and I would 1000% not be a problem but a man's shoulders will cause uproar . Got it. Came here with my wife Karla a few days ago and we had the best time! Our server, Lauren J, really made our time there an awesome experience. I always run our servers ragged with the amount of refills I need , but she was one step ahead of me every time! Kudos to you Lauren J!!! Usually my husband and I really enjoy our meal her butt!!! Our last visit was disappointing. I love the fish and chips and is my usual go to. I wanted to try the spinach salad. Our waitress offered it as a side. It was very good. On the last visit I ordered the salad as my meal. What a disappointment. The spinach wasabi twirly the onions were drippy and no hard boiled egg. My husbands onion strings were almost to the point of burned. They did replace his onion strings. But really didn't offer much to makeup for my disappointing salad. We had the "hot" wings which were plenty hot for me but my husband and son-in-law would have preferred the next level of hotness. I had the Williams Burger with cheddar paired with tater tots. It was delicious. The burgers are 10 oz,! Mt husband and i split the burger and I was plenty full. Others in my party had the Train Wreck burger and the Johnny Cash burger. It was good, not fantastic but good. It was our first time to Guston's, but the Yelp reviews were good so here we go. We went on mother's day weekend(Friday night) so it was busy. But, the hostess was seating people who came in after us and when I asked why she just blankly stared and said "I don't know" a few times which I guess does qualify as a response...kinda. So we got a drink at the bar and waited some more. The drinks were a little pricey, Dirty martini with well vodka and an angry orchard was $14.00 so not crazy but more than some other places. We did eventually get seated and ordered drinks and food. It took a long time to get our dinners but it was understandable as it was very busy. The food was great, I had the special sandwich of the day( called The Gus) which was smoked brisket on a brioche bun with cheese, fried onions, jalapeno jelly, and Gus sauce...just wow! If you stop reading to immediately go put that in your face I'll understand. My beautiful wife got the patty melt with tots. Everything was great except the mac and cheese that was not fresh and dried out under the heat lamp, but the sandwiches, onion rings, and tater tots were great. The manager did come by and apologized for the long wait for dinner and offered us a free dessert which we accepted. It was blackberry cobbler and was fantastic! Even without the dessert, just a manager being present and caring about the customers was nice to see as that has seemingly disappeared at many establishments these days. Just a smile and a "glad you came in today" really goes a long way in my book and honestly is the reason this is a four star and not a three star review. So overall a good night out and some really good food in a clean place with lots of TV's to watch and management who get's what it is that keeps us all coming in the door! Our first time visiting Guston's. We hoped, based on the reviews, it would be a new favorite place that would be closer than our current favorite, Marietta Diner. I had the Johnny Cash Burger and my wife had the Fish and Chips, based on the server's recommendation. My burger was very good and I would recommend it. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I wish they would toast the bun a little so it didn't get so soggy but that is a minor issue. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were inedible. My wife loves fish and chips and that is a frequent item for her at many places. She literally could not eat these. They were overcooked and rubbery and the crust was soggy. She tried a bite from a few pieces hoping it would only be one "bad" piece but all of the fish pieces were equally bad. She had to order something else and chose a spinach salad, which she did say was tasty. We explained to the server the problem with the fish and he was apologetic. What bugged us both is that we were still charged for the inedible fish which we sent back along with about 3/4 of the fries. She nibbled on them while waiting for her salad. The server told us he had taken care of us by not charging us for our tea...... we had to pay for the inedible fish, but at least our tea was free. We would have been open to trying again as the burger was good and we talked about coming back to try the Reuben... but, honestly, I doubt we will go back here. We should not have to pay for a mostly uneaten dish that is sent back as having a problem. read more

Gustons is by far the best bar in Acworth. It took only 2 trips to feel like a regular. JB and Candace always welcome you with a big smile and genuine happiness. A manager will always stop by and make sure you're having a good time and that everything served to you was great too. They have weekly specials for food, so you can never get tired of any one item. This is a shitty company to work for. They also withhold employees W2 that no longer works there. They never mailed it out and when former employee called to find out where the W2 was, former employee was told to come pick it up. By law the employer is suppose to mail out W2s by January 31. Olivia front of house manager refused former employee the W2. She was beyond rude. Claimed that it was lunch rush and didn't have time. Which was a lie. They were not busy. Went in for a late night dinner after working. I have been to the location in Woodstock and they have pretty good bar food. That's where it stops. I had been going all day and hadn't eaten at all. Ordering a rib eye at a bar-food-joint can be risky. This was no exception. I asked for medium-rare, it was rare. That's okay I thought, I enjoy a rare steak too. Cooking it wrong is on the chef/cook, ordering the beef is on, well, someone. Whoever orders the beef does not do quality control. The steak was very tough and stringy. The waitress was sly(as she should be,a little, I suppose) and up sold me on a loaded baked potato instead of the baked that came with it. She neglected to tell me that it was an extra charge. Overall, just a bad dinner. You're a sports bar and do burgers/wings/etc pretty good. Stick with what you can do. Don't try to be upscale, you certainly can't pull it off. read more
