We decided to try out Guston's for Mother's Day and was disappointed with the results. I was expecting better with all the reviews leaning towards being a hidden gem. Staff was friendly and quick to greet me. Looks like any typical bar and grill you would find tucked in a shopping parking lot. My boyfriend ordered the lemon pepper wings and I ordered the steak pasta. The food was lacking seasoning, quality, and took 30 minutes when the restaurant wasn't even half full. It was slow considering it was Mother's Day. The Alfredo was basically water with a splash of cream. Highly recommend switching up the recipe and adding cream cheese, mozzarella, parm, and butter like a quality Alfredo should have. I was also expecting well seasoned steak sliced and laid on top of my pasta not cut up scraps thrown in while it was being heated up. Don't judge a book by it's cover! We haven't been here for years, back since it was "Fast Eddie's," however we were pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is not great at all...not modern, not in shape and no all that clean, so we weren't expecting much out of the food. The menu had us fooled too. There were indications that the chicken dishes were just reheated frozen portions of grilled chicken with rib meat, but boy were we wrong! The chicken (actual legit grilled chicken breast) with vegetables (instead of rice) and the standard Williams burger were both fantastic! The giant pretzel wasn't all that great, just tasted of plain bread instead of the expected pretzel coating tang, but the cheese dip that was served with it helped. Service was a bit above average which was good. A bit on the expensive side, but what place isn't these days. We will be back for sure. read more

This place is unsafe! I've gone in there twice in the last few months and there is no compliance by the manager to wear a mask in covid times. I questioned him about this and he said employees have the option to wear a mask or not. FALSE! State law issued by Governor Kemp says that anyone who works in a restaurant and has contact with customers must wear a mask at all times. Most of the wait staff had them down worn improperly. We visited friends there for two different Saturday nights. My fiancé and girlfriend ordered the same drink two separate dates now and each time they looked different- very pale in color. They were told it was because they were "chilled"! No- they were watered down! C'mon. But you'll be charged for what you truly ordered. Do they think people won't know? Karaoke DJ is great and much better than others we've seen. Food is better than Woodstock location, but drinks are watered down. You're better off getting water only. The servers have to tell you the drinks are just "chilled" because they know people will notice the watered down appearance. Not a good business move. That says a lot. read more

It's been quite awhile since we've been to Guston's . Always liked the food and service and we went for Trivia night almost weekly before Covid. Restaurant eating has been challenging, since Covid as I only go where there is outside dining, everyone maintains social distancing and the staff adheres to proper protective protocols. Since it was such a beautiful day today we decided to see if the outside dining here was open, which it was. We were happy to see that OUR server was fully and properly wearing a mask but we were very disappointed in that we did not see social distancing inside and TWO other severs came out with their masks under their chin. ( I didn't see this till after we ate), Why bother? As much as we enjoyed our food, we will not be back until this restaurant takes the virus and the health of their employees and customers seriously. read more

Tried this place for a night out with my wife. First impressions aren't much. The restaurant is in a strip mall and has seen better days. The place was clean enough but the seats were torn and the TV sound was so loud you had to scream across the table. About 15 minutes into our stay someone (employee) actually stood up on a bench cushion and disconnected a speaker so the tables around us could talk. The drinks had arrived and for a bar food joint I expected better as my draft beer was not much colder than room temp. The food arrived...I had fish and chips and my wife the chicken Alfredo. My fish was good but the fries were average at best. My wife's pasta was good but the mushrooms overpowered everything else on the plate so she took them out. Overall it was an okay experience. We enjoy playing trivia Sunday night at this location. We arrived around 5 pm in order to grab a bite to eat before game. My friend and I ordered hot ham and cheese sandwiches. When they arrived to the table, it was not ham! Our server, Maria, was notified immediately. She took them back to kitchen and advised us they were out of ham and instead substituted turkey. Why on earth were we not told BEFORE they made the meals? The Dark and Stormy was basically lime juice. Maria is an awesome server, but that's all I can recommend at this establishment. read more

Waitress let me stand for 20 minutes waiting on my order, refused to take the name 3 different times i asked, she just kept saying itll be ready soon, assuming that it was one of the orders they had. Another person came, got their food, she finally asks me if im waiting for a name, i say no, tell her the name of my order, and she goes "oh, we dont have that order. our system keeps messing up, i can put it in for you but it might take a minute" Thanks so much for knowing that your system was messing up but not confirming orders. delivery drivers dont get paid by the hour. at all. so thanks for wasting a nice portion of my night. read more

I love this place! This is the second time I have been here and have absolutely enjoyed both visits. The wait staff is fantastic. Both times I have simply asked them to bring me a beer of their choosing. Both times they immediate engaged me and brought wonderful choice. Their offering is large and having them bring me different types has been wonderful. Now the food....OH MY GOD! I haven't ordered off the standard menu yet because the special menu is sooo good. I got The Gus the first time and my mouth is still watering as I think about how good it was. I went with the Ron's Burger of the Week (pic included) this time and it is just as good. It's date night with my wife and we needed someplace close to the NCG movie theater. Tried Guston's for the first time - it was nice! My wife had the GA Peach Burger and I had Hot Wings and Tater Tots all around. Everything was spot on delicious. Beers and mixed drinks were cold and just right. The wait staff were super friendly and very attentive to us and to those seated around us. The College football games were on (go DAWGS!!) and the bar side was filling up fast but there were just as many family's with small kids of all ages sitting in the booths. Only gripe was the cigarette smoke from the outside seating area wafted in at times (we were seated near the front entries). Beside that I give it all 5-stars. read more

I had a mediocre experience here years ago, but was out running errands and figured I'd stop back in for lunch. After being seated we waited an incredible long time for anyone to visit our table. I was formally a waitress myself for several years, and I was comfortable waiting a looooooong time. The restaurant was not crowded, no wait, others were being served. I finally asked the sweet hostess if someone could visit our table. A very young, bored, woman approached. I can now assume it was her very first day and we were her very table- ever. I asked about their veggie patty option, advertised on the menu under burgers. She said 'it's what goes on a burger.' ....ok.... I then asked if it was a black bean patty, a frozen boca patty, etc? She replied 'it's just a regular bun.' Having said the word 'patty' 3 times, I asked if she could maybe ask the chef about the advertised 'veggie PATTY.' To which she said, boredly, 'we just have one kind of bun, it's a regular bun.' So I ordered a salad ;). I then had to ask for the kind hostess for the check 30 minutes later. We won't be back. My family now has an inside joke about buns vs pattys. read more

Drink prices are inexpensive and pint day 2.99 23 oz beers not bad. Trivia night is fun and the restaurant has a neighborhood vibe. Highly recommend for families or just going in by yourself. There were 3 different servers coming and going to other tables in our section. People who came in after us were waited on immediately. Been here several times and shortly after they opened, we continue to be disappointed. The reuben was wet and lacked flavor (bread was soaked to the point where it was inedible) and their drinks (lemon drop) was essentially flavorless. We also had a southwestern salad which was pretty good. I feel like many businesses had to resort to cheaper quality of food to maintain their margins and this may be the case with Gustons. Seeing this with many restaurants that used to provide better quality and tastier meals. Very unfortunate given how close we are to this location. read more
