Atmosphere is small and can be busy depending on when you go. There is some countertop seats but I wouldn't recommend eating there as it's not super comfortable. Better to grab and go! Dropped in early one morning because I was craving grits and pancakes. They have a nice menu of breakfast items. The service was quick! There were no tables or chairs to dine in so keep that in mind. I ordered the shrimp and grits and they asked if I wanted cheese grits and of course I said yes. I added toast to it and got a peach punch to drink. They gave me a receipt and on the receipt is a number which they will call when your order is ready. I was concerned because my order was ready within minutes and I thought maybe the food would be cold or not fresh but when I got home, it was still hot. The shrimp and grits were good. It comes with a sauce which was savory. It didn't come with any fixins such as peppers, onions, etc, it's just shrimp and grits and that's it. I received two slices of white bread that were buttered and toasted. They didn't provide any jelly and I forgot to ask. The peach punch was really good but it was really sweet like kool aid I can see myself coming back for one of those pancake meals. read more

I had Gutbusters for the first time a few weeks ago. I was craving a delivery order but trying to order through Waffle House, the cost of everything was almost $30 for just 1 sandwich. Not worth it. I then found Gutbusters and the price was lower and the portions look larger so I decided to give them a shot. I'll tell you right now, the clips on TikTok going "We don't go to Waffle House fam, we go to gutbusters" or whatever is fact. This place easily replaces the quality of the food and portions. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on toast, which really hit the craving spot for what I had in mind from Waffle House. I also gave their breakfast burritto a try and everything was great. I also got cheese grits and damn, I want more. Unfortunately, since I ordered to go, I can only comment on delivery and how it was packaged. Nothing crazy as far as packaging. Oh are we elated! We had no idea they opened up this Lilburn location 3 years ago. We would drive all the way to Dekalb County for this food. It is cooked with seasoning, onions and peppers. The side potatoes we will order if it is not with our meal. My favorite is always the pancakes with turkey sausage or bacon. Today we ordered the Shrimp & Grits with a side of potatoes. I ordered Gutbusters' #11 Pancake Combo for my first order from this establishment, and I was QUITE pleasantly surprised. The pancakes were dense, buttery, soft, and tasty. The scrambled eggs with cheese were savory and tasty - they were also scrambled JUST enough and not at all runny. Great place for quick cheap breakfast eats! The amount of food for the price is very good. Service is a little slow, there are no chairs to sit in while waiting and this is a no dine-in eating establishment. The ambiance is just okay ... lots of people standing and waiting for their orders. The day we went to pick up our called in meal (had to wait on it after our given time to pick it up) cars were illegally parked all in front of the place making getting into and out uncomfortable. So I came in when I was passing and it was a carryout only kind of spot hearing but people say the food is good so I have to at least try. You command is the big blank area and they're no seats so you can either stand around or wait in your car. The spot doesn't have his own parking lot because it's in a strip mall situation so just be aware of that. It can get a little tight when you're trying to navigate parking. So the customer service was good, I was acknowledged right when I walked in the door. I have no complaints about that. The menu signage is a at the top of the wall behind them and it's also in paper form so you can't miss it. It's a big blank room that You are in so there's nothing else to look at except the menu lol. The food came out fast. I had to go back and order something else and they were really nice about that as well. I wanted to try a couple of things while I was there so I could have a good review for Yelp lol. A order of bacon - They gave you a bunch of bacon for one order. I think it was almost $4. But they gave you a handful as you can see. Breakfast potatoes - So these breakfast potatoes were a little bit soft, kind of tender, but they had some flavor on them! It wasn't like just regular salt and pepper, they had some good seasoning on there, which is why they were so orangish red. Had a little small kick to it and I could appreciate that! The meals come with either breakfast potatoes or grits and since I already had grits, so I have to go with the potatoes and I was not disappointed. Sausage breakfast sandwich - It's hard to mess up a breakfast sandwich. This one was good, it came with a couple of pieces of sausage Patty on it, on Texas toast style bread with eggs and cheese. It was really thick. Even though the bread got a little flimsy where the sausage was because of the grease most likely, but I can't hold that against anybody! Chicken sausage - I thought you were going to get more than just one link of chicken sausage but it's fine. It was good and had a good flavor to it. Shrimp and grits - They did a really good job with these shrimp and grits. It could have used some extra things in it like green pepper and red pepper and onions, but it was good. It was a little runny for me at first, but that's not the end of the world. They had a really nice spice to it and I really appreciate it that coming from the dish. Overall I'm not in that area too often but when I am, I would have no problem getting carry out from here again! Sometimes a name just fits! Gutbusters was a prime example of that. If you want great (Southern) breakfast food in healthy portions at reasonable prices this is the place. Since this was my first visit, I only wanted to dip my toe in the water with ordering. 2 oversized pancakes and king's portion of bacon later, my gut was indeed busted. This place is high traffic with little to no wait. I mean Chick-fil-A fast. The young man who took my order was very friendly and offered suggestions. I'm a grit lover, so I opted for the sausage grit bowl and added French toast on the side for research purposes. Travel time home was about 7 mins. Let me tell you I was impressed! I was really impressed. The food had good flavor. I didn't have to add any salt or pepper. The had many options for sausage ( beef, pork, turkey, and chicken). I mean what more can you ask for. The eggs were cooked well. The French toast was very good. They did forget to place syrup in the bag. For that I have to give them 4 stars. The place was very clean. I ordered a #11 it came with grits, two fried eggs, two pancakes and two turkey sausage. The grits were soupy and had no flavor, the sausage was like rubber, the eggs were not cooked the way that o requested them and the pancakes were dry. I felt robbed. Then I got there thinking it was a nice spot where you can sit down and eat a nice breakfast and that was not the case. They have two small high top counters that would be very uncomfortable to eat at because people are lined up right behind you waiting to order food and pick up their orders. This is the most interesting experience I've had at a food place an frequent a variety of places. The food was absolutely awful. It was a total waste of money. Pancakes tasted generic, the potatoes were so overcooked they were probably on the beginning stages of being mashed potatoes, the shrimp was good in the shrimp and grits but the grits were weird. $50 later we knew we wasted money but went as a family after church. With that said this was hands down one of the BEST customer service experiences I'd ever had. Such an odd combination amazing service an awful food. Whoever hires here could do this as a service for companies because it's truly a great group of ppl. I mean it everyone of them had great personality, kindness, professionalism! Just wish the food was as good. I'd heard about the original location from back in the day working as a dispatcher for Fulton Co. the officers swore by the original location. The food is good, I love the cheese grits, but their POS system will double bill you and they will not give you credit back even after showing the bank statement stating it was double bill the exact date/time. They would not credit the amount back because they could not find it on their side. Be careful with what card you use at this location. I will not be going back to this location. read more
