I came to First Watch for brunch with my cousin and his wife. We came on a Saturday, and it was PACKED. We had to wait about 30-40minutes, which I guess was expected. We all got an iced coffee to start. I got mine without whipped cream. It was good, but still very sweet. So keep that in mind if you don't want something too sweet. I got the farmhouse hash with my eggs sunny side up. It was so good and hearty! Had bacon, avocado, onions, tomatoes, and cheese. It was also served with toast. It was very filling! I finished most of it. Someone else got the farmhouse hash as well, but with eggs scrambled and no avocado. The other person got the tri-fecta, which is 2 eggs any style served with a waffle with choice of breakfast protein. The food was all pretty good. It didn't take too too long to come out. Like I mentioned earlier, the place was super packed. Be prepared if you are coming on the weekends. Parking was also quite the task. While it's in a parking lot, all the spots were filled up. I love first watch, especially their seasonal menu. Today I visited the Tucker location. The staff is friendly and they have a cute outdoor patio area with a bar. The food does taste different than the Buford & Norcross locations. In my opinion my pumpkin pancake didn't have much pumpkin flavor, it almost tasted like a regular pancake. They were also sold out of bacon. The wait here is a little longer than the other locations, aprox 40 min wait. I'll probably stick to my town center location or Buford. read more

I arrived early (15 minutes before the rest of party) our server (tall blonde) walked around me to every other one of her tables for the entire 15 mins and NEVER once acknowledged me. NEVER stopped to ask if I needed/wanted anything while I wait, yet when my party member started to show up (and yes these are white ladies and I am a woman of color) she was/became so attentive that I almost grew sick of it. When you are in the service industry you better leave that attitude/racism/bullshit home bc it will reflect in your tips which I am guessing you need or you would not be there. I had heard of First Watch when I was in Miami. My mom and her friends frequent it for gatherings and she always raves about it, so I had it on my radar to try it out when I realized they were a chain and there were a few locations near my area. My son and I were pretty famished after a grueling sunrise hike nearby, so when I saw that there was a First Watch just around the corner, I decided it was time to give it a try. I ordered a caramel iced coffee and the BLT style eggs benedict, though I asked them to hold the arugula. My son ordered the breakfast tacos. The iced coffee was too sweet for my liking. It was an overload of sugar, but I guess I should have expected that from the description. My eggs benedict were okay. One of the eggs had broken when they served it to me and they did offer to make me a new egg, but I declined because I was going to break it anyway so I didn't see the point and I didn't really mind as it had no bearing on the taste. However, i did not take a picture of it since it did not look very pretty with the eggy mess. My son devoured his breakfast tacos and seemed to really enjoy them, but he generally loves all food, especially when someone else is footing the bill, so no surprise there that he was thrilled. LOL. The breakfast potatoes were decent too with good flavor. Service was excellent! I think it was the best part of our experience as the server was very attentive and had a great attitude. Despite this, however, the food was just okay for me. Both my son and I agreed that our usual breakfast go-to of IHOP would have been better, so for that reason alone, I don't think our experience warrants more than 3 stars. If I could write this review and not include a star I would. I received my order filled with bacon, sausage and ham and my order clearly states no bacon, sausage or ham. When letting the manager, Abby know, lets just say she needs training in customer service. As I was talking to the manager Abby she told me to hold, then I was 'disconnected'. I called back and was on hold for 8 minutes and 44 seconds. I called back and after 2 minutes and 30 seconds Abby said I gave you a refund, there is not more to say. Oatmeal, Super Foods Bowl, Smoked Salmon Frittata, Soup and Sandwiches are also first rate. Restaurant is huge so usually not a long wait time except after 10ish on Saturday & Sundays. My last experience wasn't GREAT but I'm big on service. So that gives this the rating it did. We were sat by the hostess who was GREAT but once sat, we weren't greeted by any server for about 15 minutes. I told the hostess and it still took another 10 minutes for a server to come over and ask "No one greeted you?" And proceeded to have an attitude and/or an annoyance the entire time. It's too early in the morning for you to be this frustrated but we gave them some grace but the attitude never changed. The restaurant wasn't full, it wasn't loud or anything but it also wasn't busy either, there were plenty of servers there I just couldn't see or understand the disconnect. We ordered our food and that wound up taking a while to get fully, everything was being brought out in pieces which frustrated us even more. So we just ate what we had, asked for the check and bounced. I usually never have issues at this location. After checking out their menu online I give them a call to place the order but I'm redirected to order off the app or online. Sadly my attempts are thwarted as I can't find the one item I wanted: Eggs Benedict. The downloadable menu and a guests posted picture of the menu both show Eggs Benedict in the egg-sclusive section but it was not on the Tucker or the Decatur location menus. So I call the store and wait, and wait, and wait for someone to pick up the phone. Right when I'm about to admit defeat, someone picks up the phone. I mention that I need to order by phone as the eggs Benedict is not on the app (that I really didn't feel like downloading but...). He finds this interesting and says that it's odd. Now maybe I'm old school but I expected the My Apologies Let's get that order started! Or well luckily I'm here and ready and able to take your order. Instead I get a mumbled, hold on here's someone who can help you. At this point I'm sort of greeted by a perkier young lady who asks me if I can hear her now? I'm confused as the young man simply handed her the phone as the background noise never changed and there was less than a second of lag time. Regardless, she's got the perky good will I had been missing and she immediately takes my order; Eggs Benny medium, not wobbly or too runny and an order of French toast. I run over as I'm told it will be done in 10-15. I am greeted warmly and given my order. Honestly, I should have stayed to check out the food but hindsight is 20/20. The food: the French toast is dry in the middle, barely swiped with the custard (egg/milk/sugar or condensed milk), and the Eggs are swimming in the bottom of the container, and that's not the worst part; some of the egg whites were still translucent... I gave t one for the perky hostess. I could have given them two as the interior was clean and looked nice, but those translucent egg whites will stay with me all day. If you go, stick to pancakes or waffles and scrambled egg dishes. read more

The wait times are still long, but, you can manage that by getting in line, thru their app. We did this for Mother's Day, and we arrived on time to check in, and was seated in 15 minutes. The service and hospitality is much better, and it starts at the door. A person was outside, taking down names, and managing the turnover. It was great to see that the management has taken real steps to handle the flow of the customers. Finally, no more standing around and being ignored. This guy upfront, will take down your name and get you in line for a table. So much better. The host and the servers are also happier. Its real busy, but there are visibly more people working, and I think it goes a long way to ensuring good service and attentiveness to customer. Our server was GREAT. I did not get her name, but she was cheerful, always smiling, helpful, warm, and welcoming. I was concerned that we would get an overworked, and unhappy worker, but she was anything but. She had a smile on the entire time. Glad to see happy employees. The food, was good. I had THE WORKS omelet, and it was huge. The tri-fecta with waffles, and eggs was kinda meh. Felt like that needed some fresh berries or fruit or yogurt in there. It was a boring plate. The Hacienda Hash was also very good. Bloody Mary, and Bacon was OK. The drink was too peppery. The food and service at this location are always consistent. When I frequent a place I do not expect perfection every time but they come fairly close. My favorite item here is really odd, it's the eggs!! They are so delicious here. I have never been to a place and said the eggs were good lol. My go to is usually the biscuits and gravy or the breakfast tacos -- both succulent and excellent. Unfortunately I do not have pictures of either of those items this go around (I wasn't hungry the last time we went), however, just ordering the toast with their preserves was equally satisfying. Those preserves are the jam (a little old woman humor haha). It always seems clean and I like the decor. If you are in the Tucker area you should give this place a shot. read more

The wait especially on the weekend can get quite long, so be sure to use their waitlist option on the website! Service is always great. Though they are hustling back and forth to the kitchen most of the time, the servers still make time to chat and be cordial and that's a huge plus. Get the banana crunch pancake. Of course there was a wait given the time and church crowd, but we "got in line" thru the mobile app. Note: you have to check in with the hostess despite being in line on the app. We ended up sitting at the bar and good thing we did bc despite the 30-45min wait the app quoted, it was much longer and our names were called until we were halfway done out food. We came here for brunch on a Friday. I ordered the avocado toast and my sister ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. The toast was good. Oddly, the avocado were very cold and I'm used to room temperature avocados. I ordered a side of turkey sausage. The food was very good. Those pancakes were lovely! So lemony and delicious but a tad over cooked on the bottom (i.e. burnt). The coffee was good but service was very spotty. That explains the star reduction as it wasn't a highlight. Sunday, 2/1/26 at about 12:30pm my family (party of 6) and I visited the First Watch, Tucker, Ga. location. It was pretty crowded in the establishment, so there was a bit of a wait. After a few people were seated before us, we inquired about the wait progression. We were told that they were waiting for the bus boy to clean the table but there had been menus and silverware placed on the table. Giving the impress the table was cleaned. We were finally given a booth. I asked for lemon and cucumber for the tables water. I was told they didn't have cucumbers, even though the menus state they make fresh juice in house. Plus, a person at the table had a kale tonic juice, made with cumber juice. No lemons were brought to the table and had to request them again. The potatoes were overly salty and even the Artisan Ciabatta Toast with Whipped Butter was salted fairly well. THE NEXT INCIDENT IS THE MAJOR REASON FOR THE REVIEW!!! Upon leaving the restaurant the elder of the group fainted. The two gentlemen in the group got her up and she began to pass out again. Her granddaughter and I ran to see if we could get a chair to take to the parking lot to have her sit down. I went back into First Watch and spoke with the hostess and gave her the details of what was taking place. I asked could I grab a chair and was told abruptly, "no". The granddaughter had gone to Jersey Mikes just a couple of doors for the same reason and was allowed to grab a chair and also stated let them know if anything else was needed. Tuesday, 2/3/26 at around 12:34pm I called and spoke with manager, Jamie. I gave all the information to him as mentioned above with bonus of a description of the hostess. He stated he believed he knew who I was speaking of. He stated that he worked on Sunday and they were staffed due to weather. Jamie stated that he would do a coaching with the staff, because we should have been granted use of a chair. Jamie also stated that I was not the 1st and probably not the last to complain about the salty potatoes, it stated was due to the seasoning they use and corporate should be made aware. I have been coming to this location since it opened. The food is usually good as is the service. At times there are issues with one or the other and they are usually few and far between. Today, we put our names on the wait list only to arrive 10 minutes later, only to be told that they were to busy to take any more reservations, and couldn't seat us at this time. Not to mention that they no customer service skills employee didn't seem to be concerned at all. Very disappointed. When you have you mind set on something to eat and you can't have it, you meal is pretty much ruined as the second choice doesn't hit the spot. Somewhat annoying to see the 3 stars that literally describe a perfect experience but just weren't feeling it like other places. Ridiculous. Let me start by saying every time my husband and I go we get amazing service from whoever our server is, as we go often after stumbling on to it. They have a wide variety of choices from healthy option to very hearty and heavier foods. We've really stuck to breakfast but the Florida French toast, breakfast tacos, biscuit and gravy, specialty pancakes and a lot more have all been delicious. They have chicken and turkey substitutes for sausage and bacon and that's really great since we don't eat pork. This is the only place where I take my leftovers home 100% of the time it gets eaten. They also have a variety of fresh pressed juices with the Kale one being my favorite. Inside or outside seating is enjoyable but I'll usually try and opt for outside when weather permits. They keep their patio clean and we are never neglected when outside. They have a quinoa bowl I've been wanting to try as well.
