Our first experience with them was terrific! Brought the Rav 4 in because it was pulling and the brakes were squeaking. I made an appointment. Instead of waiting, they took me back to my house (about a 5 minute drive) in my car (thanks, Mark!). Called me back mid-morning. Kept me posted the whole way! They gave me the best quote to replace all 4 of my brake calipers at $370. After I finished getting quotes from all over the area, I tried setting up an appointment but was denied. They no longer use customer supplied parts, which sucks considering I already bought 4 replacements after giving me their quote. They also told me they don't usually work on BMW's but that was never issue in the beginning, so I'm confused why that was even brought up. I've learned very recently how scammy the auto industry is. I used to work on vehicles when I was younger. I'm not some clueless person who can be taken advantage of. I've been given quotes that were so high, that I asked how much it would lower the cost if I supplied the parts--to which many shops responded with word salad. They use parts to jack up the total cost. Someone I know was charged for 5 hours of repair work, when the total time took 10-minutes. Hidden cams are your best friend people. The reason why I would not recommend this shop is they want to charge $160 an hour to fix a piece of plastic that came off the bottom of my car on 1/2 of it. The guy told me they charge $160 an hour for all jobs that is a rip off. It will take probably 15 minutes to fix it and that's it. read more

The "gentlemen" at Dennis Automotive are a phenomenal group of men. One of our vehicles was having an issue with a tire, alignment and the ride was rough. We made an appointment. They were able to diagnose the "issues" the next day. We had a tire replaced at Discount Tire and Dennis Automotive found all of the unfortunate other issues with the vehicle. The repair took longer than expected but Parrish kept us informed during the repair process. We have used Dennis Automotive over years for this vehicle. Unfortunately due to the make of this vehicle, the parts are difficult to replace and. But they have resources in finding what is needed. I have learned more regarding this vehicle and what certain parts / equipment due in making this vehicle run smoothly. Parrish was very apologetic for keeping the vehicle longer than expected. Dennis Road Auto has been a lifesaver! I have been a customer for three years now and I'll never go anywhere else. I bought a used car a few years back that gave me a lot of trouble--thousands and thousands of dollars worth of trouble. After being ripped off at a few places, I FINALLY found Dennis Road! I took my car in for new brakes and after inspecting the vehicle, they told me I still had a year or two left, saving me hundreds. Ever since, they continue to honestly advise me on what needs fixing and what doesn't yet--and the things that do need fixing cost me less than other mechanics have charged me. I've never had a repeat problem with something they've already addressed. As a female who didn't know much about cars, Riley, Jeremy, James and the whole team always walk me through everything I needed to know. If I ask, they'll take me right up to my vehicle and point out what they're talking about. When my budget was tight here and there, they worked with me to figure out what to prioritize and how to get the best bang for my buck, ex: I had transmission issues that were a costly fix, so they worked out a way for me to SAFELY hold off on further damage until I could afford a more permanent fix. They even gave me a list of things that weren't wrong *yet* to keep an eye on and start budgeting for in the future. The prices are honest, the work is exceptional, and the team is always friendly and accommodating. They've bent over backwards to help me in big ways, but it's the small things that stick with you. Took my car in for steering problem. I was pretty sure I knew what was causing the problem but only told them what the car was doing. I expected they were going to advise me that several parts need replacing. When I got the call they said an adjustment fixed the issue and while my struts were on nearing replacement I could get several thousand more miles before I replace them. Basically they told me what was wrong, apprised me of the condition of the parts and offered me honest alternatives. Car now drive perfectly. I have tested this mechanic again and again. They always come out on top. After any major estimate, I always bring the vehicle and the estimate to my mechanic buddy (secretly), and ask if the repairs needed are legit. Myself, I wouldn't know an accurate repair if it bit me in the butt! Every time I show it to my buddy, he says it is legit and fair... every time. Over the course of 7 years, I have tested them many times and they always come out honest, affordable and worth every cent. I met the owner. She is often around. I asked her about honesty and auto shops once. She said, "We have one simple motto. Can I go to bed and sleep at night after the work I did. If the answer is yes, then I did my job right." I came into Dennis Road Automotive today on short notice. I called the shop about 11:30AM and asked if I could bring in my car to receive a second opinion on some maintenance items recommended to me from the Dealership. I made an appointment to come in around 1:30PM for them to take a look. Walking into the shop, you will first enter the waiting room which is clean and well kept. There is WIFI, cold water, and a slew of well organized magazines to keep you occupied. The restrooms are well kept as well. Sliding the adjacent door back, you enter into the edge of the garage and make your way to the front office. Here I was greeted by Jeremy and went through the list of things recommended by the dealership. He indicated that he had to run an errand and that someone else might go over the results of the inspection in his absence. Their mechanics spent a little under an hour going over the items on my list. Jeremy came into the waiting room and sat next to me with a slip of paper with the results. Of all the things on the list, he found no material problems other than recommending air and cabin filters on the car. Jeremy explained the methodology behind the dealership recommendations as a "one size fits all" type solution which often times based on car mileage and not actual condition. I actually appreciated that Jeremy didn't say anything specifically negative about the dealership service department. He explained that some people prefer to be more proactive than reactive to the condition of their cars. Also, when things break on premium cars they generally cost much more to fix. Seems logical. My car will be 10 years old this year, and while I prefer my car to be in top running order, I don't want to spend $1300 on maintenance items which are just not "due". Jeremy was gracious enough to offer me a concession on their normal inspection fee as well which was greatly appreciated. Given the above experience... though I have not yet spent a dime at Dennis Road Automotive, they have just gained a customer in the future. read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. I was waiting for a few weeks before the review, this allowed me to take my car, my wife's car, and mom's car to get a good sampling. All I can say is customer service and honesty come first here. That's right, a mechanic can be honest. They saved me from having to replace my compressor by simply replacing the gaskets. On my mom's car they saved her from buying a new compressor by giving her options for saving money. When have you been to a mechanic that doesn't try to get more money out of you? The guys at Dennis automotive took care of my 2005 Pathfinder and will definitely be back for any future things I might need in automotive repair. I had almost sold my Pathfinder due to the estimates from other repair shops on an emissions issue I had that was going to be thousands of dollars to replace catalytic converters and depending on that result may or may not pass inspection. I loved the vehicle and was upset that I was being forced to a decision when everything else seemed to be in good shape. I went to three other shops before I talked to Dennis Road Automotive. It wasn't till I talked to them that I felt I even got a straight answer. I am a CPA and have heard about Dennis Road through a client that has had great success using them so I decided to let them have a look. Not only was I surprised that they were able to address the mechanical issues quicker and more competitively prices, but that they kept me informed every step of the way. They were fast, professional and competitively priced. You really can't ask for a better turn out and I am so glad to not have a car payment and still have my Pathfinder. They left my skid plate hanging on by a few threads right next to an expensive and critical hybrid steering motor. They charged me a $200 premium over the industry norm for a job not finished. Luckily I looked under the vehicle when I got home. Sorry guys, I gave you a shot especially since you took care of me on Moog's mistake, even though you chastised me like I did it which is extremely rude, but you won't gouge me again and leave parts dangling from under my vehicle. A customer has a right to ask questions and you should willingly answer them. Not feel challenged. It seems you're a good shop but not in my experience. I tightened the bolts myself because you're not touching my vehicle again. I asked for you to refund me the premium you charged me and you said no, knowing I was going to post this. No one deserves to make extra on a poor job. I didn't ask for all my money back, I asked for the extra profit premium you charged me back. So here it is, your choice. read more

Their work, timeliness, and customer service all lived up to their expectation and I received nothing short of a very satisfactory experience. Our 02' Mazda needed a new AC compressor, alternator, battery, and fuel pump. A few things that impressed me the most: -Great communication at all times about what to expect and detailed explanation of the issues. Very friendly staff and honest staff. -Incredibly fast. Had our car towed there on a closed Sunday and they were finished Wednesday by noon. -Reasonably priced -Thorough walk-through of repair We had one hiccup that was not their fault, but they were extremely quick to please us and fix the issue as a priority. Upon initial arrival to get the car, it did not start. They diagnosed it and gave me a solid run-through of the options within the hour (it was 5:30PM close at this point) and had the fuel pump fixed by noon the next day. I searched for a good mechanic to take my car to because I overall don't trust most mechanics and found that these guys are not only honest but they treat me with respect. They could easily tell me anything about my car and charge me outrageous prices but instead they tell me exactly what's wrong and charge fair prices. I recently had my radiator go out late at night. I called them to let them know the tow truck would drop my car off so they could look at it and asked them to call me in the morning. They called me that same night and got me all set up for the next day. They had a new radiator installed and back to me the next day. Extremely satisfied with Dennis Road Automotive. My 2003 Ford Focus broke down so I had it towed here. It turned out to be the timing belt. What could have been a very costly repair wasn't so bad with them. They replaced the timing belt and the water pump for a very reasonable price. A long-time customer recommended these guys because I needed a new catalytic converter, so I called for a quote. James asked me questions, talked me through the process, answered all of my questions, did some research, and gave me a fair quote. I brought my car in and also asked them to look at a brake issue another shop was unable to resolve after I had taken my car in multiple times. Jeramie found the issue was actually blown struts, talked me through it, and gave me a good quote. The work was done in a timely manner, and I feel James and Jeramie both gave me honest guidance. Dennis Auto was great they fixed the clutch in record time and let us know that the car ac could wait till after the holidays. Quite possibly the best automotive shop in the country (and I've been to shops everywhere)... The check engine light was on in my older Tundra. You never know how far down the rabbit hole that will take you. It was an O2 sensor. The truck also needed an oil change, tire rotation, etc. So I took it into Dennis Road Automotive on the recommendations I've seen here and online. Everyone was right. They were ready for me at the time of my appointment, they went over what work would be done and diagnosed the check engine with solutions and prices before work began. Here's the kicker, they even gave me a ride home and back (about 2 miles away). Originally, I had been considering trading in my truck for a new one, but the price and service level at Dennis Road Automotive were so good, I'm must going to go ahead with some of the higher-mileage maintenance on the vehicle and keep it around a little longer.
