I could cry as I sit here, writing this review, thinking about the beef quesadilla I had last week. It was hands down one of the best tasting meals I've ever had. The menu is simple and the food is amazing. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, just a little deli, and to be honest I didn't even know they served food until I was walking by one day. Plenty of picnic benches outside for eating there! Huge quesadillas, plus a drink, for only $8 (I had leftovers for the next day and I am not generally a girl who leaves leftovers)! My boyfriend is pickier than I am and wasn't as crazy about it because it isn't the typical meat and cheese only type of quesadilla, but if you like tacos/burritos/quesadillas/anything that makes you feel warm and happy on the inside, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I am so lucky to have Gutierrez Deli within walking distance of my house. It never disappoints. As others note, not much in the way of ambiance - it's a little grocery store where they make their food behind the counter. They have daily specials, and the food never disappoints! Absolutely not a 5 star place. I'm a big of authentic tacos and am happy to see so many more options around town the past few years. This place is not legit. All the food is just reheated, only problem is nothing came out hot. I know your probably looking at taco places and you see this places 5 star and it looks cool and real. I did same thing. Go to Cruz around the corner if that's what you want. The red flag was when I asked the cashier what she recommended and she said she didn't eat the food there. YES! After reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to try the chicken quesadilla. It was easily the greatest quesadilla I have ever tasted. Amazing tacos! Such a nice quaint little deli counter and store. The menu is simple, and the food is fantastic. Great place to stop for lunch and sit outside to enjoy a beautiful day. Amazing tacos! A great little place to stop and grab a few tacos for lunch. Because it is a store, you'll want to either get them to go, or if it's a nice day have them outside at the picnic table. Corner Mexican Supermercado/Taco shop. Small selection on pre-made food but it's super tasty and as real as it gets. Fridays they have tamales. I asked the owner what kind he had and he said, "Guatemalan - the good ones." Tastes like a spiced chicken. These are banana leaf wrapped, very fine grind on the masa - almost like custard. Very delicious! Tacos are currently beef and chicken - slow cooked and pulled. Extremely large, with cilantro, onions, Mexican cheese and a green hot sauce - super messy! 3 tacos and a can of Pepsi for 5.99. Apparently he has specials on the weekends, but haven't made it for any yet... For how small the shop is, it has an amazing amount of merchandise. Goya galore and many Hispanic staples. Mexican soda made with real sugar and snacks you didn't know you needed. They even have giant pozole pots with giant spoons! Owners are super nice, hope they make it! read more

Great place to stock up on Latin American cooking and snack supplies! We stopped here after eating at Wunderbar just to see what they had. They offer all kinds of things: cookies, baked bread, frozen empanada shells, banana leaves, soup mixes, Jarritos, you name it. The staff were super friendly and asked us if we were looking for anything. We picked up a couple familiar snacks for cheap like pinguiinos (similar to a Hostess snack). We will be back! read more

Highly recommend for authentic and amazing tacos! The gentlemen working were extremely kind and we waited less than 5 minutes for 3 tacos and a quesadilla. They were the best tacos I've had in Cincinnati and we have paid triple the price in OTR. The deli is takeout but there were nice picnic tables around the corner. The place is small but they have a bunch of Latin American treats you can purchase as well. 11/10 read more

First off the people who run this place are awesome. They are friendly and fun to talk to. They also introduced me to passion fruit juice. It's delicious! What's even better is if you mix the passion fruit and the mango juice up 50/50. They have three things on their menu: tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Chicken or beef. I personally really like that the menu is simple. I feel like it add to the laid back vibe. I got the tacos (one chicken and two beef) and it was fricken satisfying as F. I got both the red and green sauce to go with my tacos and I'm glad I did. The red sauce is unlike anything I've ever had before. I don't know how they make it but it's a very nice red sauce. There are several other snacks and beverages in the shop as well, so check those out if you get a chance. read more
