I have used this company twice. Once, when I accidentally flushed my car key down the toilet at the mall, and once when my safe malfunctioned. Both times the same guy showed up within 20 minutes of contacting the company. I didn't ask his name, but he is very upbeat and positive. Especially in a dismal situation (unexpected expenses). Guy was great! I run a roadside battery company (batteryroadie.com); we had a client with a completely dead battery and his emergency key didn't work. The knob of a very old door at my mom's house fell off and we got locked inside. Because this door is so old it had been hard to replace the knob and other parts that hold the knob. We had trouble with it for years.Guy arrived within 15 minutes because he was working in the area. He unlocked the door even though all that there was left was a hole. He replaced the knob and was done and out the door within ten minutes. He charged us $160. I had never had this happen before so I am not sure what the average price is but this was an emergency situation and he came fast. read more

Ran into some lock issues. Found Guy on Yelp, called him, discussed the issue, and he showed up 20 minutes later. He assessed the issue was due to a faulty handle. He had the parts and I authorized him to replace and repair. He did so in a quick and efficient manner. I then showed him another problem with my front door latch bolt. He tinkered with it using his bag of tools and was able to fix it. He then provided me with the manufacturer's contact information to order replacement parts. During this whole time, Guy was friendly, personable, communicative about what he was doing, and working on the issue. He obviously cares about his customers, wants to see them happy, and looks to be the "go to" whenever lock issues come up again. Posting an Honest Review, based on recent experience. In full disclosure my wife does not want me to post this, because she is somewhat passive and doesn't want to put more thought into it. I am the opposite and think that a fraudster who preys on women should be revealed. I suspect that there are other victims of bait and switch, but who would rather save "face" and not post their true experiences. My wife was quoted $40 for some repair work on a lock. Guy asked for photos, and to ensure no "surprises" my wife sent photos to ensure he knew exactly what needed to be done.... a rekey on a door lock... pretty basic, right? Price was agreed to, photos were sent, should not have been any surprises. However, when Guy came, all of a sudden the price increased by $100 to $140, OVER 300%! I mean seriously? Guy is a classic fraudster doing a classic Bait and Switch. It could also be that he realized that the customer was an Asian female and hence felt that he could take advantage as most asians are non-confrontational. What's worse is the business had just been broken into (hence the need for a rekey) and he made an already stressful situation worse By price gouging. Of course he waited until he was there to up the price, I mean she really had no other choice because she needed to have the door rekeyed before the business closed. Reminds me of a shady auto repair place that adds unnecessary charges to a bill just because the person doesn't really know or understand what needs to be fixed. In fairness, I will say that he was very timely, he came in less than an 1 hour and completed the job in under 20 minutes. I am just very unsatisfied with his BAIT AND SWITCH tactics.
