I went in after I went into Verizon store up the street on Overland Blvd in Culver City to have my Pixel 2XL Google phone looked at. The seam of the phone had opened and I could see the inner workings. After being informed that I have no Warranty (its from 2017) the Verizon lady recommended Mr. Guzman at Compucells. I walk Overland regularly, so I jetted down there. Mr. Guzman said the battery had 'ballooned' thus lifting the 'real case' open of the Cell Phone. He said $40 for replacing the battery. Damn good price for that! It would cost probably $80 bucks at a fancy air freshened 'kiss ass' operation. So he said it would be awhile to get the battery in. It took about 6 days or so, one must wait for such important matters. You'd think okay great, done. No. You are wrong! I go in there and Mr. Guzman gives me my phone which I expect to be working fine. There is a 1/2 Inch White Vertical Bar, right down the right hand screen. Bright, no words showing. I'm just aghast! The phone is Ruined. I just look at this with my jaw on the ground. Here is my REAL 'loved' one, my everything, destroyed! A 3 year golden friendship gone. Mr. Guzman is rather relaxed seemingly as he goes to his computer. He explains that while changing the battery the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) the actual screen of the Pixel 2 XL was somehow damaged. I cannot read the full screen and it isn't getting better as I scroll. Mr. Guzman explains that it will Cost him about $135.00 for a new LCD screen for the phone. He decides that the $40 I owe him for the battery replacement will be used as a Deposit for the LCD replacement and that it will cost me $60 more. He will probably not make any money at all, Labor included on this disaster. I'm upset, but I'm not about to scream and rant like an Idiot! I give him the $40 in Cash. Which Mr. Guzman didn't ask for. Only cash accepted. And he says call him next week. It was fixed just yesterday Friday, the 12th in about 45 minutes. It's sterling. Beautiful work, the screen is completely new and clear. Literally a totally new 'Build' of my Cell Phone. I recently switched carriers to TMobile. In the Cell Phone sales department they listed my Pixel 2XL for $17 trade in! $17... for a phone that cost me over $1000 dollars! In 2017. No thanks. I'd never do that. And I also learned sadly that Android will no longer update my phone. Guess that's about everyone needing to buy a new one, every single year. But why? I wasn't born in the year 2007. We bought once and didn't buy again in the 1970's! There was no need to back then. Anyway, Mr. Guzman restored my trust in the working woman and man. He fixed everything and was composed and professional. Do go to him with Cells and Computers... I'd like to think in this way I've made him some Money. Great place and more trustworthy than the recommended chain stories (like Asurion) that Verizon referred me to. At Guzman, they gave me a very fair price ($40 to replace the charging port on my iPhone) and turned it around within a few hours. I had gone to UBreakIFix beforehand and they would've charged double and warned me it "was very likely the phone would break since it was so old" so... I'll be going here instead in the future! Only other thing to mention is that the hours here say 9AM-6PM - but it wasn't open at 9AM. I'm not sure of exact opening time but probably closer to 10AM. read more

After months of ratchetivities, the LCD finally cracked and I just had to get her fixed. My roommate recommended Guzman Compucell and I had to give him a shot. I took my fried (literally, broken screen, dropped in water and then electrocuted when I plugged it in to get charged) iPhone 6s to get fixed. José tried his best to get it to turn on/ work again. I went in to have my phone battery replaced, and the battery performance only marginally improved. After four months of use, I decided to go elsewhere to replace the battery again. After the second replacement, I noticed that the date on the battery that Guzman Compucells installed in my phone had a manufacture date of 2015, meaning that he never put in a brand new battery. read more
