His staff member ( I was told there are 2) was so condescending, unprofessional, and nasty to both of us that I decided (with my primary care doctor's blessing), to go to Golden State Ortho in Walnut Creek, which offers a very professional and friendly environment, staff, and physicians. I have been a clinical nurse specialist for a long time and have only been treated like this once before within the same practice/ Napa Valley Ortho/ back in 2019. I was going to give Huffman a try since he is a different type of specialist than the one I saw in 2019. However, even though Walnut Creek is more inconvenient than Napa, I'm very happy with Golden State Ortho. Until doctors start being responsible for their office staff's approach to patients, the patients will be unhappy with the doctor before they even meet her/him, the disrespectful and unprofessional tone being set by the staff. hope Dr Huffman sees this review.

They have always been very professional and the check-in procedure is run smoothly. After my initial appointment at North Bay, I was not impressed. I had to ask to check my vials to confirm that they were mine. I was told that the staff checked them to confirm the correct info. They made a note to make sure I checked my vials in the future. As a retired USAF medic, I was trained to always confirm everything with the patient. This was my first red flag. I was given info regarding an app to download onto my phone for future check-ins. After repeated attempts to do so, the app remained defective. When I tried to check into the clinic on the next visit, I got a bit of attitude because I didn't use the app. After several attempts, I called the clinic for assistance. The receptionist seemed very cavalier in her attitude and didn't seem to understand my frustration. I was hung up on while I again attempted to install the phone app. She eventually called back. By this time I was beyond frustrated and cancelled all future appointments to this ineffective clinic. I will resume my treatments at the clinic in Fairfield. I have confidence in being taken seriously and feel very at ease with their efficient system.

And the subtext for the attitude I get is that I'm too hard a patient to schedule. Sorry for working 14 hour shifts on a rotating schedule? Neither the Napa nor Sonoma office can manage to fit me in. Experiences like this seriously turn me off of a business. And naturally they're too high class to work the weekends at or, or make an exception. My insurance deductible is rather high and I finally met it the other week so I wanted to take advantage of not having to pay full price for a direly needed service. So I'll be driving from Vallejo to Livermore because this other place has oodles of appointments that I can actually make even with an extra hour of driving one way (two round trip) and a bridge toll. I just had major surgery to have stage 4 endometriosis removed from multiple organs. I even had my appendix removed during the extensive abdominal surgery. She seemed uninterested in my post-operative report. My insurance company dropped me two days before the surgery and she yelled at me to stop crying and told me to get insurance. I did, & then her office was very rude to me over the phone & they didn't even call to confirm my appointment beforehand. I have over 20 years of medical trauma from being misdiagnosed with depression and anxiety when in reality I have had one of the most painful conditions. Dr. Weisbein's demeanor completely changed when her next patient (an older male) walked in and she quickly changed her tone and said, "hello my love!" to him. Bottom line- ladies!!! Don't go to this woman. She's mean. *I almost forgot to mention, when I told her I was in a car accident, she said it was against her policy to talk about more than one injury at a time. *Go to Dr. Eric Grigsby or Dr Melanie Johansson if you need real help and you are a woman. They are experienced and non-biased unlike Jaqueline. *Thank you for your apology for your aggression & I hope you do better for future patients. The one speaking doesnt look at me, her coworker begins to 'whisper' and tells her to 'shut up, that lady is mad, she heard you theres a kid here' Woman with the professionalism of a potato makes eye contact with me, laughs it off and they continue to whisper. I get into the waiting room and there is a bunch of confusion surrounding my MRI results. 25 minutes later one of the women comes in tell me because they would have to get medical consent from my attorney to get my records released to them the doctor said to cancel my visit and i would have to come back another day. This was my 3rd attempt at actually being able to have my appointment, i completed everything they asked me to do in preparation for my appointment but on thier end they waited until im sitting in the office to figure out what they needed on thier end. And because they would need to reach out to my attorney they couldnt be bothered. Absolutely unprofessional from start to finish. The doctor couldnt be bothered to come in to the room himself to speak to me directly after a mistake on thier end and absolutely wasting my time. If i could give less stars i would.
