It is a 29 cubic foot that was 3 years old and in pristine working condition and no damage of any kind. It took him 2 hours to get it out of the ranch style, no stairs house and loaded on his open trailer. In the rain. He had to remove the doors from the refrigerator and the house. He hauled the doors in his van but apparently did not secure them or pad them in anyway. When he arrived at my house, in the rain, he presented me a bill for $80 more than he quoted. I protested but had no choice but to sign and pay. The refrigerator was still on the trailer and the doors were still in the van. He couldn't get the refrigerator into my house so he had to go get a helper. He should have not been working alone in the first place. He got it in the house and brought the doors in. When asked about the damage to the doors he acted as if he didn't do it. He opened up the ba k of the machine and was wiping out all the water from the components. We saw that he had broken a roller on back corner. I told him to order a replacement. He closed it up and began to move the refrigerator into position. It wouldn't roll since the one roller was broken so he had to "walk" it back and forth to get it done. That scratched my wood floor. It wasn't level but he said he would do that when he came back to put in the roller. During the week before he came back, I discovered that the ice maker was not working and the diagnostic system was not working. They are both in the door that received the most damage being transported. After installing the new roller and leveling he tried to get the ice maker to work and the diagnostic system to work. Today the ice maker is working but the diagnostic system is not. When I tried to discuss the problem with John Fortuna, he stormed out of my house declaring me to be a hostile customer and he was not going to argue with me in my house. He said, "I'll see you in court". I can only conclude he has been there before because I never got close to talking about court! I am considering going to small claims court now. Never, ever use Appliance Tech, John Fortuna for anything.

He came out replaced a part said it was fixed. 8 hrs later refrigerator was clicking and not working again. I called him and he came out again. Told me it was the compressor. I decided that having it fixed was my best option at the time. He came in and worked for 4 hrs and couldn't get the fittings to solder correctly. He left ,my wife and I cleaned the house for several hours from all the black soot from his torch that was everwhere. He also burned our kitchen floor in several small spots. He came back two days later and finished putting in the compressor. It worked for 28 hours and then quit. I called him and messaged him no response. Then we called him from my wife's phone and he answered on second ring. He has now decided to not answer calls from us or fix the refrigerator. I'm now out the money and still need a refrigerator! Would not use him again!

I was told that the GE oven was the one that had those options, so it was ordered. After I tried to cook something on the cook top, with no luck, I found out that this cook top was a induction top. NO ONE at that store told me anything about this cook top, nor was it explained. I figured all that out on my own. I called to get them to take it back, because I was within 30 days of buying this oven. I was told that I had 3 days to return it and I should have read that on the delivery paper that I signed when it was delivered. I NEVER SIGNED ANY PAPER!! They said I did but when I asked them to get me a copy of where I signed, they could never find it. So it kind of seems to me that they are being a bit deceptive here with that. So now I have a stove and half of my pots and pans dont work. SO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN BUYING ANYTHING FROM THEM BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT EXPLAIN ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT YOUR BUYING. I contacted GE to see if there was anything they could do. They could not believe that they wouldn't take it back. They are only worried about turning a fast buck and nothing about customer satisfaction.
