wow...i'm still in shock after hiring this guy!!! his name is terry webster,jay webster...not…read morereally sure, uses both names? i should have known when he drove up in this old car, parked in my driveway and it leaked oil on the cement! next day he came back, I told him to park in front he's leaking oil...and he said he just wanted to unload stuff from his car for the job...he again missed this huge black matt i have on driveway and leaked oil on the driveway again!! found him in several places, but not on Yelp??? that's a great clue to stay away from him!! he lists as a handyman that does most everything...incl mason work, so i asked him to come by for a quote. i had about 4 spots about 1' wide and length on old walkway that needed repair. bricks were coming up...and water was draining into center of walkway. what seemed to be a small job just got bigger and messier! it took him hours to pry out stones from dirt, not cement...and try to level area so that water flows out of pooled area. he had no knowledge of cement or leveling at all!!! it was clear to me that he was guessing his way through this job!!! i had to stand there and watch him for about 6 hours...2 days, 3 hours each because i wanted to make sure he did not destroy my property!!! he asked for $400 to repair areas needed. he opened up the walkway to about 13'l x 1 1/2'w in one spot..tried leveling for correct measurements needed and put stones back in that area. i left for a few minutes and when i came back, he poured a large bag of cement over that whole area including over stones and was sweeping the dry cement over that whole area to fill spaces between stones!!!! dry cement...and then he was going to water over that whole area!!!! i asked him how he planned to get the top of those stones cleaned after the cement dried??? it was HOT that day, and his previous attempt working a patch didn't work...cause the cement was drying in minutes. He said didn't know how he would clean the top of those stones and asked me if i could check the videos i previously reviewed before he came and started the job!!! OMG... there was dry cement everywhere...and i had to try and clean up his mess the next day...still have to clean stones and try to get more cement of bricks in walkway! i told him to leave and the next day texted him to pick up his stuff and that i put it at the curb! of course he asked for 1/2 the cash before he left!! right jerk!! he left me with as much work to do as he had done!! self proclaimed man of god...just had to text...and apologize and wrote that he was sorry for starting my project without first reviewing for best procedures!!!! what???. mason???? i did text back telling him that for a bible guy....what he was doing if i hadn't stopped him was stealing money and destroying property...not just causing tremendous stress! his response to me was ....whether i chose to forgive him or not...it made ZERO difference to him in his life, but it would do a lot to reduce my stress!!! he said that i should forgive for my benefit not his! he texted, he wishes me nothing but peace!! HEY JERK, I DIDN'T DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY...OF COURSE YOU DON'T CARE!!! i told him i have plenty of "peace" because i didn't give that jerk the chance to steal my money. i also texted him that i'm sending him some "peace" when i review his sorry ass on yelp.com!!! oh, i said, this isn't for me, it's for you!!!! good, feeeeellling peaceful NOW terry or jay, whatever your name is...bible man or con man!!

He built shelves in my garage, sealed up the holes or cracks on the outside of the house to keep critters out, cleaned out my garage, helped me pack when I moved to Carlsbad, and then came down here with me to unpack and fix things at my Carlsbad house. My tenants at the Culver City house called about fence problems and Bob called me right back and we're arranging a time for him to fix and paint the fence around the property. He can pretty much do anything except electrical. He is fair priced, very cheerful, a great guy to have around. My dog loved him (always a good sign). He is now very busy because he is so good so you'll have to set a date for him to review the problem and get it fixed. He mostly concentrates on the West LA/Culver City/Mar Vista/Venice area. But if he has time he would probably expand his service area. Jobs by Bob, always the best!

Fast, kind, cheap…read more Three words to describe. We had a problem with pipe from the shower room and had a leakage. I was not capable of fixing it by myself so i had to find a handyman. My wife got a recommendation of Mr. Wang, and we contacted him. Since he was here.... We asked him to fix quite many things. lol shower heads, pipes, faucets, toilets..... all done pretty quickly. Afterwards we had another issue, and he came on the same day and fixed within 2 hours. We had experiences with other handymen before, and they were good too. But I do believe this guy is very flexible and the price was definitely the cheapest and reasonable.

One of the worst handyman experiences I ever had! I would give 0 stars if I could. I needed help…read morewith drywall repair of the ceiling of my shower stall. The previous homeowner did not use waterproof paint for the shower stall ceiling. Over time, the drywall accumulated moisture and started to crumble. I reached out to Mr. Wang for help because his reviews on Yelp were decent. He came out to my home to assess the problem. During the assessment, I asked him a technical question about whether the paint on the shower stall ceiling was waterproof. Now this is where the problem started. A normal person would just answer the question with a yes or no response maybe followed by a short explanation. Instead, he quickly grabbed a scotch pad that was sitting in my bathroom and violently scrubbed 3 areas of my bathroom wall to "demonstrate" that the paint was waterproof, which I did not ask of him at all and preferred him not to do that. There are now 3 scuff marks where the glossy paint lost its sheen from him using an abrasive to scrub the paint. The largest is about 10 inches long. I have posted a picture of the damage. I confronted him about his actions the next day, but he refused to repair the damage or give me financial compensation. When you hire a handyman for a job, it would be fair to expect that he fix the problem you hired him for and not cause a more expensive mistake. In order to restore the wall to the condition before the damage, I would have to hire someone to re-prime and repaint at least the wall or the entire bathroom, which would cost be a few hundred to $1000. Also, not to mention the inconvenience of not being able to use the bathroom for a few days for the work to be completed and for the paint to dry. From his Yelp page, it looks like he has been a handyman for at least 10+ years. So I don't know why a handyman with that many years of experience wouldn't know that the paint would be damaged if you scrubbed it with an abrasive pad. He really should have asked my permission first before doing something like this. I feel like this whole fiasco could have been prevented if he had used better judgment. I regret hiring him for the job. However, I did not know at the time that he would cause damage to my property.
