Everything feels organized, calm, and premium without being pretentious. A great place to train, recharge, and get ready for the day, especially if you work or live in Lower Manhattan. Not many members, but clean and neat! I went for a Classpass rock climbing class. There's a juice bar when you first go in, but it was closed when I went. You then head downstairs, where you will be greeted by the staff before going through the turnstiles. The locker room area was cute. I especially enjoyed the vanity area, where you can blow dry your hair, do your makeup, and more. The rock climbing class was awesome. The climbing wall wasn't big, as it wasn't a main aspect of the gym. In the 2 hours, we learned how to tie a knot to be able to secure your harness, as well as how to belay. The instructor was super patient with us. The class was just my 2 friends, and although it was originally 5 people, any more would have not been enough time to do much. Learning the proper techniques on how to even climb, and how to position yourself on the wall is a whole other class! I give major respect to those who know how to rock climb professionally. While I absolutely suck and may have screamed my way down the wall, the informative beginner class maybe just maybe made me lowkey interested in improving. Worst gym of all time. I have gone here for years because I live in 10 Hanover. Where do I begin...There is absolutely no floor space available during prime gym hours. The classes constantly run over the allotted time so the only available spaces are filled with people who pay less for a class pass membership than long time patrons of the gym. The machines constantly break and have basically never been replaced only patched up to break again a week later. I have emailed multiple times over the years and talked to people at the front desk and nothing has ever been done about any of the aforementioned problems. The weights are literally falling apart. I got a 12 month membership in January to attend the group fitness classes offered at the FiDi location. I've had a great time attending the classes (specifically vinyasa yoga with Smita, barre with Gigi, Spin with Imelda, and Barbells/Booty Pump with Yana). The locker room and shower areas are very clean and the locks are built-in (no need to bring your own). I also like how women's room is on the top floor, which is far separated from the men's room on the lower floor. After,trying the gym one time I decided to joined, they explained no strings attached Yada Yada, I found out I had a medical issue and for now I can't exercise as I need it. I talked to many front desk people and wrote to the manager by email. They totally ignored me and continued taking money out of my account even thou, I had never actually been able to do one lonely class or use the place. It's been 6 months and they refused to listen or stop taking money put of my account. I don't even have a copy of the so call contract. The manager didn't answer my calls and the front desk is not able to direct me to the person in charge. The management sucks and I really hate the way they do business. They just want your money even thou I already contact them 10 times is no resolution. Be aware of small printing and the front desk tactics to confused and make you sign forms before entering for the such called "complementary " tryout. This is the filthiest gym I've ever seen. All of the weightlifting equipment is worn and/or damaged. Most of the barbells are severely bent; many plates are missing; and the benches are so worn that some of them are even misshaped. Additionally, I observed at least one of the persons trainers giving poor advice to a client. There's also a pretty small selection of equipment available for lifting. I'm baffled at the good reviews here... either these people don't care that they're paying a high price for something awful or they're only into classes. read more

I went in to join since I work close by, and possibly drag some coworkers in to do the same. The girl at the reception engaged me like some bartender, then when I was let in the membership space, not office, there was no privacy whatsoever, it was a desk separated from other desks by a tiny glass wall, where a membership sales woman gave me some info on the amenities and fees. She was loud and anyone could hear the conversation including the front desk crew and other people passing by. This made me quite uncomfortable to be a part of the conversation. She didn't seem to be happy addressing me and made me feel as if she was doing me a favor having me at her desk. I visited this gym mainly by taking a cycling class. The gym itself was sort of like the bat cave, you walk through a juice bar and head down the stairs and through the hall to get to the gym. Once inside and after signing in you go straight into the locker room. The well lit locker room was huge and well kept. Had a changing area, showers, sink area, bathroom area and a section just for towels. The gym itself is even bigger and located a floor down from the locker room. There's a section for weights, floor exercises and cardio. The gym is well put together and located in the wall street area, definitely mainly for the people that frequent the area because if I wasn't taking the cycling class I wouldn't have even come across this gym. read more

Funny how the owner gets combative on critical reviews and decides to dox people against their will. Well here you go you have my name and I will concur with what the individual in an earlier Yelp review said (For transparency we workout together). These aren't lies when mentioned that the gym trainer + members can be aggressive when approaching women and trying to "correct" their form. I would imagine paying premium comes with the peace and safety of not being approached by folks with excuses to just talk to women. That's a problem with the entire gymming industry so I won't necessarily hold it against them and I am fortunately not the one impacted by it. What I am frustrated about is the bait and switch tactic they approach with when signing an individual up. The staff claims 30 day heads-up is all that is needed to cancel membership, but then the fine print on agreement says 30 day from billing, Their cancellation form says something totally different as can be seen from attachment with another review. The owner does a terrible job of explaining the cancellation policy literally in his response and then says everything else is a lie and then looks up the individuals review history and comments on that instead. It may come as a surprise to the owner but statistically it is more common to report terribly bad service over all kinds of service. If someone goes out of there way to write a critical review it implies that it was so bad that it had to be documented for future customer when they choose this establishment. Timeline of what transpired. Joined Gym in 2021 staff flaunted their cancel anytime month to month service as long as a 30 month heads-up is given. Requested to cancel service on March 4th for April 4th due to moving out-of-state. Called staff member to confirm this and they claimed that it should be okay since I paid for the March billing cycle (paid on Feb 26) thought they aren't sure and will loop the manager in. Manager emails that I would have to pay March 26 because i cancelled 9 days after my supposed billing cycle. I was willing to pay the pro-rated amount for the additional 9days but instead I am required to pay for additional 21 days even though I gave 30 day notice. I share a screenshot of the cancellation T&C and get no response, instead I get an email saying my gym service is cancelled immediately and I wont be charged for March 26. I leave it at that and don't claim my March month I paid for because ultimately i don't want to pay for the additional month of April that I am not in state for. Now I am not sure that would be honored given that the "owner" (whose name isn't what is on yelp which I will let it slide because I don't believe in doxing people like he does) may ask me to take this down to get "special treatment". Cancellation Agreement: "I Understand That A 30-day Written Notice Is Required For All Membership Cancellations And That I Will Be Charged One Month Beyond The Date Of This Cancellation Request. I Have A 30-day Window To Rejoin Without Having To Pay An Enrollment Fee. I Understand That I May Continue To Use The Facility Until The Cancellation Effective Date. Lauren introduced me to the trainers and was very helpful with my guest pass. Locker rooms are AMAZING, especially the vanity area. After my workout, I stopped at the juice bar for a smoothie! After two months of signing a 1 year contract at $89, they sent out an email that theyd be increasing the fee. I asked the front desk about this and she said someone will call me to discuss price. This past week i suddenly got charged 25% higher ($115+) than the original fee with no warning. They told me the only other option is to pay over $1000 up front for 1.5 years. Or to cancel. When i asked to cancel myself and my husband, they stopped responding. Their excuse was that they need to be competitive with other gyms and cover operating costs. We went to a couple gyms near Wall St and we quickly found ones under our original price ($84) willing to comp our membership enrollment fee. If they needed to charge more, they should have been up front and transparent from the beginning so clients can make this decision. Not after they get trapped into a long term contract. Unethical business. Doesnt matter/its secondary that the gym is decent. Plus I brought in my husband and they told me that Id get a month free. When i followed up about that, they told me its the last month of the contract. Ive been in sales for many years, and this is old school sneaky ruthless sales. read more

Updated review: As a member for over 3+ years, I come 3-5 times a week and sad to say I just cancelled my membership. This place is starting to show the first signs of age. A lot of the equipment is starting to show some real wear and is due for an upgrade/maintenance in the form of ripped cushions and frayed cables. Still useable but noticeable. Good variety of equipment but short of what some of the larger corporate gyms would have. I would like to see some updated weights and treadmills at this point. After the New Year, got hit with a 30% membership increase. Definitely made me look at other gyms in the area which prompted me to cancel. The price is creeping or surpasses into the prices of gyms with more amenities. Nonetheless still an okay gym but after a few years, the lack of any updated equipment is wearing thin on me personally. On the plus side, Place is kept clean as there is always staff either cleaning or organizing and there is a really large steam room that works really well. Also never found this gym to be overly crowded even during lunch hours. Plenty of lockers in this place. Will update if/when they decide to invest a bit into equipment maintenance in the future. read more

I joined Complete Body around the end of January and started off with personal training. I hadn't been to a gym in over 7 months and I felt like I needed the extra push and a professional to help me get back in shape in time for my wedding! I have been training with Tommy and he has been an awesome trainer!! He is very knowledgeable and gives me the extra push and motivation I need. In one month I was able to gain 4lbs of muscle and lose body fat! This is my second month training with him and I feel a lot stronger and see changes in my body. I definitely recommend Tommy if you need a trainer! I also like that the gym is not too crowded and that there are good machines to work with. The bathrooms and showers are clean! Pretty new at this gym so can't give a extensive review but.. I like it so far for a few reasons. Don't feel like there is too many looky loo's. (Pervy looking guys) I also like the trainers aren't always harassing you for sessions as they do in some other gyms. Great range of cardio machines. They have some I've never seen before so that's nice to try something new. It can get pretty crowded after work but never too much where you have to stop and wait around for equipment. The juice bar upstairs on main floor is as good as it gets. Residents of the building get 10% discount which is a bonus. This review is only for the classes that I've taken at CBXT thorough Classpass, and not for the gym itself. Love the CBXT class offered at this gym! CBXT, or Complete Body Cross Training, is a high intensive internal training (HIIT) class which incorporates various exercises using different equipment such as row machines, kettle bells, battle ropes, and TRX. The 45-minute class always passes by so quickly for me. I've taken classes with both Riley and Megan who are both awesome and full of energy. They make sure to correct your form and will explain variations of exercises that fit your personal needs. The facilities include showers, towels, napkins, lockers, and some personal grooming items (hairbrushes, blow dryers, hair sprays, deodorants etc.) and there's enough room for everyone, even at peak times. I take CBXT through ClassPass. Since I only have a set number of classes I can take through CP, I usually try to avoid using them at gyms because I feel like they're not worth it. However I find that CBXT is just as good as a specialized studio which offers HIIT classes! Worth checking out if you're in the FiDi area! read more

I've been taking the CBXT classes in the FIDI area 2-3 times a week and I have lost 20Lbs. I have been getting a lot of compliments with the quick results at Complete Body. The staff are great and the trainers are AMAZING!!!! The TRAINERS and classes are so good I brought my wife a 20 class package. I've been taking Davide's "CIRCUIT 25" class for about 3 weeks now... and I've lost 3 lbs! I workout on the gym floor regularly but needed something to push me to get rid of my surface fat (muscle, I know you're in there). CIRCUIT 25 class is so bearable because moves are changed every 30 seconds. I don't have time to think about what I'm doing. I take the 12:15 class Tues / Thurs with Davide, a great instructor. Imelda gives a great class too if you prefer a female. And they have barre class! Yay! This is a huge gym in the basement of an apartment building, with several stories. I was very impressed with the equipment-- there is even a Pilates reformer! The yoga class I took was pretty good, provided a lot of stretch and relaxation. The dressing area is beautiful, very glamorous. read more
