I remembered I got their food for the first time during the pandemic. The food was great but the wait at that time was not short. This time I placed an online order and was able to just pick them up right when they are ready. Chicken shawarma is very tasty. I like the pickles that came with it. Loaded gyro fries is so delicious. I could not stop enjoying them. Babaganoush and hummus are also delicious. read more

Quick and easy made-to-order gyro & fries is what I wanted. Parking can be hit or miss, and you gotta watch the traffic from the gas station and drive-thru liquor store next door. Customer service was good, and after placing my order, it didn't take long for them to prepare. Fries were good, and the portion size for the gyro wrap was as I hoped. I add lettuce to all my gyros, but was surprised to see that the tzatziki sauce was on the side and not added when wrapping the. I suspect it's for to-go orders, but that's pretty much every order from here. I have had decent food from Gyro 101 before...but yesterday was a complete failure. I will say that the portions on my Gyro plate were generous, but nothing was good or fresh and it was mostly inedible. The Gyro was ok, but was sliced so thin that each mouthful dissolved into mush as I began to chew. The texture was wrong, and there was no flavor. The Tzatziki was absolutely not fresh, the cucumbers were soft and somewhat slimy, it had zero flavor, and was room temperature. I stopped eating it because it tasted old and I didn't want to become ill. The red onions on my Gyro and in my salad were already soft and flavorless, and tomatoes were not fresh. The hummus needed seasoning badly, and was also room temperature. There was just nothing salvageable about the meal except the pita bread. The entire meal lacked freshness and flavor. If I had been dining in instead of having ordered delivery, I would have sent my food back to the kitchen. read more

Stopped by for lunch without reading reviews or really knowing what to expect. I had planned on working while I was there and I quickly realized that might not be feasible. There is a small parking lot which is shared with the business next door. The establishment is small and seems to be set up more for pickup orders. There was a table with a bench along the left wall and a few chairs against the right wall. Ordering was easy for me but another lady who came in seemed to have difficulty placing her order. The employee taking her order was very helpful to her. Since it didn't seem to be set up for dine in I asked the lady at the counter if I couldn't sit and the table and work there. She smiled and said, of course! There was a steady steam of lunch time customers with to go orders and delivery app pickups while I was there. I ordered a gyro pita wrap. It came out in a reasonable amount of time. The gyro meat was flavorful and the veggies in the wrap were fresh. Overall great flavor for a quick lunch. There is a service charge if 3.5% for paying with a card that I wasn't made aware of until I saw it on pop up on the screen when I went to pay. read more

I originally decided to come here for food because of the 4 1/2 stars reviews on yelp didn't take the time to actually read the reviews cause there were quite a few bad ones how it averages to 4 1/2 reviews is beyond me First off as simple as french fries they were terrible no salt extremely dry overcooked and the oil needs to be changed. Chicken fingers very dry salad not quite a Greek salad with very little to no dressing. The chicken kebab plate. The chicken itself was good. This is a DIVE, only one table outside, wild dogs running around and a drive through liquor store next door, can't get any more "whole in the wall" than this. This place is such a great find! The chicken pita was delicious. Super fresh ingredients, soft pita and a generous portion of meat. I added Tzatziki and pickles to mine and I was in heaven. Fries were good. Hot, plentiful and well seasoned. The tzatzki is some of the best I've ever had. Super friendly staff, fresh food, filling portions and reasonably priced. Nice place to satisfy my falafel craving- the wrap came with the option to include tomato, pickles, and the tahini sauce but I wish they would've had more toppings and vegetable options to pack more flavor into there. My mom really enjoyed her gyro wrap, and we both loved the french fries seasoned with more than just salt. The pistachio baklava is something that we both can't wait to eat again; we loved that little snack-sized dessert. There is the option to pick up a delivery or eat outside on one of the small tables. Got the lazy cake which has coconut flakes and then the Nutella cheesecake. I liked the cheesecake the best because it had an after shock taste of Nutella it was divine. It's not the best Greek food in town nor the friendliest service nor the best ambiance. However, it is (in my opinion) one of the fastest and most convieniently located spots for a quick bite to eat. It is located next to Sam's drive-thru liquor and a Quick Trip. It takes 5 minutes to prepare your food while you shop next door or gas up. I got the chicken shwarma pita plate, which comes with chicken, pickles, lettuce, garlic sauce and a side of hummus and Greek salad. For an extra 50 cents, you can add jalapenos. The chicken shwarma is less expensive and tastier (more seasoning) than the chicken kabobs. The sandwich would be better with tzaziki sauce instead of garlic sauce and tomatoes instead of pickles. The hummus is delicious. The Greek side salad today was mostly watery lettuce and cucumbers with some dressing but no feta cheese or olives. The gyros may be better than the chicken, but I've never tried it. read more

I was with someone who ordered food for us all. We decided to drop by and order and pick up. My guy was all about making a connection as he really likes when he orders food from here for delivery. This was the first time he had ever visited the establishment. I had the chicken shwarma; he had the gyro rice plate, side of "spanakopita," friend pickles, and chicken strips. He was admiring the cleanliness of the establishment as we waited for our order. Now, when I say, "made a connect," it is totally how it felt as I witnessed it. We get back to the house to eat, start distributing plates, I mentioned to my 16 yr old son that chicken strips were in the bag for him. Only.... there weren't chicken strips in the bag. The chicken never made it, I guess. I have to admit, I was far more disappointed about this than my guy as I felt we were heard, addressed and order repeated. So, I was the only one who got a full meal. Kind of a bummer. I know my guy will be back, though for me, I'd be too caught up in checking and checking again that my order was right. That's... kind of a bummer, especially knowing my dude took care of them from a gratuitous standpoint. I had the falafel wrap delivered a few nights earlier (I mentioned he loves the place). I liked it; the falafel was moist and appropriately distributed itself upon each bite. I was surprised there were no onions and a bit heavy on the Tahini but good nonetheless. The fried pickles carry a bit of spice in the batter, which was also nice with the crisp. But as I said, for me personally, the missing item was kind of a bummer, and it put me off, only because I watched the whole interaction from start to finish. read more

This place is SO GOOD I had to write an updated review! Months later, this is still my go to gyro spot in all of Scottsdale and Phoenix. Their food is always insanely fresh and packed with flavor! It never misses the mark and not many places are this consistent with their quality! My favorites are absolutely the falafel pita or the gyro pita plate when I'm feeling extra hungry. Got salad with shawarma. Salad was ok. Shawarma was a bit dry and very little portion. No bread was given. Chicken Shawarma sandwiches were mediocre.
